  5. One of my FBM trip wire listings sold over the weekend. For those keeping track, we have a 3x RRP Speed Champion: 75899 LaFerrari - $45 (Buy-in $11) Note: A couple FBA sellers took notice and it's back down to $42

  6. Bought 2 a while ago when they were -40%, built them, and modded them. Raised the arc by 2 1/3 to fit a train through, raised the pilars by 3, and took out all the moving parts. Shortened it to 80 studs to fit well into a Lego town, train running in between the modular houses (Pet shop works well here at 16 wide)

  7. I have had a few Big Buck sets bought with stolen and hacked credit and paypal accounts, now I always got my money back, so what I been doing now anything over $400 I will get the buyers contact info and call them and ask if they really did buy it, I sold a SSDS yesterday and called the person to confirm that they did purchase it, since January I called 2 winners on a SSDS and 10212 and both said they didn't purchase it and had there paypal account hacked. 9. I'm going to assume a Police Helicopter transporting a law breaking cabbie to finish off the set. No heli really makes the set feel incomplete.

  10. I'm glad I made an impact. On a side note these could have been had for $8.97 for about 5 minutes Friday on Amazon. I adjusted my price to 80.97 and forgot the zero. Had 25 available for a couple minutes. Very tense situation.

  11. I did my good deed (and pseudo-fruitcake) for the year on Friday, in honor of Saint Padraig... One of my favorite regular customers made me an offer of $15 for a 75099. I decided to counteroffer for less at $13.50. She was nice enough to message me and suggest I may have made a mistake, but I insisted my counteroffer was final and I wouldn't budge

  15. Plane was from online purchase with store pick up, used points to get it to $10. so went to pick it up today and found minifig bags plus Battle pack which was 20% or 30% off of $12, 71011 bags were over $4 but used points on them and on the Battle pack so for 3 x 71011 and SW Battle pack I spent $15.

  17. If you don't fully link your eBay/PayPal (i.e I require my PayPal password to be entered after a purchase), you can just close your browser before completing the payment. eBay considers the sale as having occurred but they effectively abort the payment by not completing the PayPal portion. My guess is they sided him with because he has good feedback and probably sweet talked an eBay rep on the phone. He could have simply claimed "I really thought I paid for it" and since eBay CS can't see what happens on the PayPal side (wasn't it really clever for them to slice the businesses apart...) its his word against nobody (ie PayPal). eBay doesn't like to admit their system is flawed as we all know. Really, it's a PITA but not overly serious in the grand scheme of jerk buyers.

  23. I have this one kid who has messaged me at least 50 times the past 4 months with half my asking price on offerup. He can't drive so wants me to deliver it to him the next town over on top of it lol. I'm in no hurry to sell , but I have to admit he's wearing on me though with his willingness to not give up. I'm probably gonna chalk this one as my good deed for the year.

  34. I wish I could still do this but my extreme dislike in waiting for buyers to leave feedback makes me want to leave feedback within a day of receiving the item, so needless to say, I left positive feedback as it wasn't until days later that I inspected the item much more as I note down every mini-figure I have for inventory purposes so I don't have to re-look them up later on. I just figured it had to be the one in question SW711 until i really sized them up against each other. Thanks to all comments that have come in. I was more-less taken back by his response that I was being so impolite when this just looks like an open and shut case. Know your product before you sell it, simple as that. Maybe I should have inspected it more, but there has to be some trust of what you are buying is the real deal, no matter what price it is being sold as. I sell things cheaper all the time just to get cash flow coming back my way instead of always going out. Otherwise, my wife would cut me off!!!!

  39. 2 Trevi fountains for £65 each with buy in of £22 and £1 eBay FVF, hence clearing £36 each after fees. Not bad for a 2 month hold. Also sold a second wall-e for £65 with buy in of £20 and £1 eBay FVF and clearing £38. Went quickly so hopefully good sign for the holiday period

  42. I was inspired by Rotterdam when it still had the train 4 meters above ground through the city, with at least 24 trains per hour on 2 tracks, reason enough for a tunnel and to melt the steel bridge. Imagine living in that house back then...

  43. Daughter built this set today: 41307 Olivia's Inventor Lab. What a great little set! Looks so good in person ... and those robots have a ton of personality. Lid of the box is a printed tile, most other items are stickers. Here are the three robots. Fun to see the baby bottle used again, and the azure tools are pretty unique too: What I found really clever is that the two bigger robots use a lever piece to balance themselves when they are free-standing, but my daughter immediately figured out that those levers act as charging plugs when docked - see here: An amazing little set (RRP $9.99, I got mine for slightly over $5 from KMart).
