I've been investing in sets for a few months, but last night I finished my first major build since getting back into Lego. I have a nocturnal baby and a three year old, so I typically only get through a bag of parts a night. Here is Red Five alongside the First Order Tie Fighter that hooked me back in. Now to build the UCS Tie Fighter.

I thought I'd build my Lego Pirate Ships in anticipation of the Silent Mary coming out. I started buying one pair of the Black Pearl and Queen Anne, then another, etc.

My 9 year daughter built this today.

Voicing was excellent in this episode. Thought they did a great job reconciling Ezra and Luke existing and not tipping their hand with Ezra's fate. Left it open. I got the feeling Ezra isn't the first Jedi to visit Ben. Ben is hyper focused on Luke. He's the only solution to the Vader problem. So, makes me wonder. When Yoda says, "no, there is another" - it's not Leia and I don't believe it's Ezra. Makes me lean even more toward Rey.

It is steady seller, some characters are doing very good Jay, Krusty, Scooby, Bttf, JW, Unikitty, Emmet, ...as for me....last 2 weeks getting slower but still OK...sold 500+ packs just from eBay listing and couple 100th cases in bulk...ppl keep buying, PM me if you want some for good price...got 12-14 characters left.

Baby starts sleeping is a myth. I have a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old hence its been 4 years since I've had any decent sleep unless of course I go away for business. Don't worry you build up a tolerance to lack of sleep!

Just got back from a trip to London and picked up a bunch of 40220 Double-Decker Bus sets for 10 pounds each.

Jokerland is a great addition to the Fairground sets. That was my reason to buy a few...

REAL collectors will do the leg work to make sure they're not buying a fake item on eBay (not saying they can't be scammed). CHEAP collectors will buy the fake even when the listing says it's compatible with LEGO because they don't give a damn. To say one customer base (eBay vs Amazon) is more edumacated is totally ludicrous. Millions of people shop online now. They are all getting the benefits of googles years of search engine work to find marketplaces and cheap prices. "Uneducated buyer" is a total misnomer these days. Lazy is the word I prefer. Lazy people get scammed on all selling platforms. *edit - just to add that good buyers do get scammed but it's usually by a fraudulent listing rather than being too lazy to read the damn listing and has nothing to do with eBay vs Amazon *

Do you think that the Dimensions packs will increase in value once they really retire or the game is being shut down? Thank you for your answers. This is Yoda. I did not actually build him, but this is what happens, if he is highly in use as a key chain to spread the force for six months. It seems he turns into some sort of Micky Mouse.

I finally got the chance to finish up the UCS Imperial Shuttle 10212 that I picked up used a while back. I really enjoyed the build and the finished product. It is as large as expected and the use of snot pieces makes its final look a lot cleaner than the IST. If you have been thinking about picking one up for your UCS or SW collection I highly recommend it! So...what should we build next? We have 10186 UCS General Grievous, 10198 Tantive IV Anniversary Edition, 75021 Republic Gunship, and 10227 UCS B-Wing Starfighter in the queue. Which do y'all recommend we start with? (I will be building it with my 6 and 8 year old.)

One General question: Why has the name of this thread changed to Daily LEGO Deals - UK? It was formerly for UK and EU? Is this still the place to post and look for deals in Germany for example?

Chris, I think you're coming in at a time where the LEGO reselling party is coming to an end. I'm not saying there is no more money to be made; what I'm saying is that the ship is full and the general consensus is that people joining now are going to have a hard time turning this into something truly profitable. Many here are getting more close-lipped on their strategies, as there is now a lot of competition. Plus, the general state of the LEGO market is post-euphoric, with too many sets out, too many people buying for reselling/investment, a reduction in buyers and big discounts around that were unheard of even 1 year ago. Combine that with an influx of new forum members over the last 1-2 years, with many coming with the expectation that they'll be handed their fortune on a golden platter, and you can understand why there is a lot of sarcasm around. This has nothing to do with you as a person. There will always be some headshaking when people hear about you plonking down 2k GBP in less than 8 weeks, but you own your own decisions. Read into the comments what you want, but see through the sarcasm and understand that some people use it to express concern about your strategy. Nobody here would chase you away - but many (myself included) will post about the victories and the extremes, not about the daily grind of investing/reselling LEGO. You might want to consider such a posting strategy yourself as well. There is a ton of info around on this forum, and lots of comradery and compassion. Take your time to get familiar with what is appreciated (deals! success stories! fruitcakes! delivery failures! set news!) and you will find that this forum will become a second home. And yes, everyone posts something sometimes that gets a negative response from others (epic deals in Target, anyone?). Just read it as it is intended: an opinion on what you posted, and use it to shape what you post and how you post it in the future. We all started with 0 posts and 0 reputation, and we have all posted stuff that others didn't like. You'll be fine

I love it. It's completely original. Many people here criticize Lego for rehashing sets. This is certainly no rehash. We should support this set to encourage Lego to take more chances in the future. It would have been easy to make a standard ship set but they didn't. They should be applauded for that.

Daughter built this set today: 41307 Olivia's Inventor Lab. What a great little set! Looks so good in person ... and those robots have a ton of personality. Lid of the box is a printed tile, most other items are stickers. Here are the three robots. Fun to see the baby bottle used again, and the azure tools are pretty unique too: What I found really clever is that the two bigger robots use a lever piece to balance themselves when they are free-standing, but my daughter immediately figured out that those levers act as charging plugs when docked - see here: An amazing little set (RRP $9.99, I got mine for slightly over $5 from KMart).
