1. Update on building 10030... So it was going well. Then I get to step 19: Crud. That's a lot of parts to gather for one step. Grebbling. Lots and lots of greenling. 16x! Ouch! So I attach it all and flip the book over (it's a large instruction book) and notice something... 2x?!? Yes. Go back to step one and do everything again. Oh my aching fingers. Here's the greenling: Here's what it looked like this afternoon, after attaching the two halves: Here's what it looks like tonight, having gotten another 10 steps into it:
2. I think you missed something on the box:
3. Leaked image found on Reddit.
4. This is now the Daily "What's Your" Deal thread.
5. Picked up a couple things yesterday. I think everything was talked about and shown via other threads. Only thing I didn't mention yesterday was the Sea Cow. Don't own any LM sets but I saw it on offerup and decided to buy it. Got it for 220 Sealed. Noticed used ones going for 300 so I figured it was a good price!
6. Bought 2 a while ago when they were -40%, built them, and modded them. Raised the arc by 2 1/3 to fit a train through, raised the pilars by 3, and took out all the moving parts. Shortened it to 80 studs to fit well into a Lego town, train running in between the modular houses (Pet shop works well here at 16 wide)
7. Excellent .. I'll be posting here . One set at a time .
8. Every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
9. Too much. Went strictly for the Scooby Doo boxes but did pick up some lego movie stuff.
10. nabbed these - now just to get them home. Not sure what else to try and get, no scooby anywhere
11. Here's a question I never thought I would ask myself: how much is the employee discount at the 99 cent store?
12. You know things are bad when duplo exo exit sells out before Ecto 1...

14. You need to stop with the constant negativity... Come on, Sea Cow, Emmets Mech, and the DD Couch are 3 sets from the Lego Movie that are going to rise in value. It may take some time, but as more lego films come out, people are going to start having cravings for some of the older sets. For the record, the Sea Cow is not heavily hoarded compared to many other sets out there that retired around the same time. It's going to do superwell, once more lego films come out. Just watch.
15. Today, I bought Portal on eBay for $6.85. Last week that price would've made headlines; today, that's six times retail. [emoji1]
16. Come on, Bro. Get some extra pieces and MOC it out until it's a display piece worthy of your tastes. That's one of the great things about LEGO.
17. If there is a "get $x back in points on a $y purchase" promo, you want to use just enough points to stay above $y.
18. They do make good tissues for whenever I check the Walmart clearance thread. There's a small pile of teary dimensions packs right next to my computer at this very moment. FYI the ink on those things runs, I found out the hard way.

20. Nabbed about 80 Dimensions packs at the 99 cents store. Mostly homer level packs as that was the best value, but also a few Bart, Bad cop, and Chima ones. Using about 30 as my GWP for the following month and parting out and listing the others. Already sold 13 Homers for $6.98 and a few fun packs for $5.98 on BL, buyers paid shipping. Not bad, as that pretty much paid off the others. Best deal there however was the Odwalla bars, they were 2/$1
21. Yes , especially if they left a note and the topic already exists .

I found the repetition of other sets like Tower Bridge far worse than this, however, I remember this happening to me. Getting all 16 done and being happy that annoyance was over, only to be let down because I had to do it again. I think after that particular step, I started looking a few pages ahead in every build I did after so it didn't happen again.
23. LEGO SAH has the Wedding Favor Set for 4.99 (5.00 off) https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Wedding-Favour-Set-2016-40165
24. Yeah I'm thinking some stores are just getting a shipment in. I've visited 10+ stores and a few had 0 to be found. I'll be revisiting those few stores and I'm done. Riding Shaggy to the bank….well maybe the piggy bank but nonetheless a bank.

If you're not too pressed for flap trimming... Sometimes when shipping 2 sets in a box stacked I also cut a scrap box panel that covers the lower set box and the top sits on top. That should keep the top box from punching a hole or creasing the lower box.
26. Looks fantastic, but I feel sorry for the poor guy that lives on the second story of that townhouse!
27. Bit of a bummer sale: sold a Ghost on BL for $140. Had raised my prices previously but forgot to update my BL listing and someone found it ah well, still almost doubled my buy-in, but it could have been at least $30 more....
28. last week started off slow but things picked up late Sunday night. sold (all new) the following for $680 2 Batman move CMF sets (basically paid for the set my kids are sharing). $90 each. 2 Antman final battle sets. 1 60013 City Coast Guard Helicopter 1 75005 Rancor Pit 2 Jurassic World Raptor Escape sets.
29. Built a 368 stud long studs long train bridge by using 6x set 7900 bridge transport. Actually 496 studs including the ramps. It covers 110 studs in the middle at 14 high, and fits trains under it for approx 150 studs (5 tracks on the photo) On the bridge I wanted the track to be a bit lower so the trains would not reach above the 'iron' bars. I believe the design is quite minimalistic, though pretty strong. Still have to 'pimp' the pillars to replace the blue bricks.
30. The price is on the right. They are below the bags.

Yes, but emphasis on "aloud". They are not permitted to do so quietly.

37. It appears to be a mystery to ebay as well. Too often, impossible (as in not workable) changes are implemented. Contradicting actions seem to take place without any apparent knowledge, or understanding as to what else might be affected (causing other functions to fail). I find that it is sometimes best to just let the dust settle a bit, before embracing every change (as sometimes, they will change things back).
38. I was inspired by Rotterdam when it still had the train 4 meters above ground through the city, with at least 24 trains per hour on 2 tracks, reason enough for a tunnel and to melt the steel bridge. Imagine living in that house back then...
39. The mention of the Kraken and seeing CM4Sci's cleaned up photo I can't unsee that. I think the Kraken idea is solid.

These sets are not fake. They're alternative facts.
43. My daughter finished up the UCS Red 5 X-Wing 10240 yesterday with a little help from me. It is her favorite set and she was super excited to finally get to build one. The kids got their first Lego set for Christmas in 2015, and this was our 50th set to build as a family. What a great family hobby! (And so far it has been a hobby that has paid for itself through sales of extra sets that we have bought...which is tough to beat.)
44. My son and I love this set...we are slowly collecting all the Spidey Villains (next up...Doc Oct set with Vulture) and adding them to this set. Fun stuff, and yes, we even threw the Hulkbuster in there too...someone has to challenge the Rhino!
