Let's encourage people to post deals. Crapping on people because you didn't like the deal they posted or how they posted it just discourages people from posting deals. Maybe you don't think it's a great deal. Maybe you don't like the campy style in which it was posted. Just ignore it.16 points

Sorry if my sarcasm was missed. I have no problem with retailers charging whatever they can. I think it's ironic that someone who takes advantage of retailers in every way possible would have a problem with it.5 points
-
Come on, stock manipulation, clearance returns, etc. are all perfectly acceptable ways to conduct business, but there's a line in the sand when someone wants to charge above retail for a set while in production.5 points

It's actually a Devries retail jewelry display case. Pretty hard to come by, as just like the LEGO displays they are supposed to be destroyed or returned when no longer needed. I must have trolled craigslist for 6 months plus before this one popped up at a descent price. Here is an earlier picture of the whole case when I first got it. Its about 22" inches square for size reference.4 points

Every pic should prelude with, "This is not a joke". If any topic deserves to be deleted, it's this one.4 points

Just some of my sales for the past couple of weeks on FBA. I picked a wide variety of sets this past year and I did well. We've never had the salesperson aspect to the Daily Deals thread. Don't Delay, Act Now, supplies are running out.3 points

I believe they're individually numbered to 99 sets worldwide. I'm lining up now. Bad news is not every LEGO store will even receive one and you won't know until the store opens on January 1 so I might be wasting the next week and a half for nothing. Please note: The above is inaccurate as the set is not numbered or known to be limited in any way.3 points

Not a HOMERUN but they all don't have to be . Helped out some friends of mine Today: sold a MF 75105 and TF 75101 for $175 (they are parents buying for their boys) They were thrilled with the price. My buy in: Falcon $95 on Ebay w flash $15 coupon and $38 for the Tie at summer WM clearance. (both boxes were not in collectible condition). Felt good to make "little Timmy and Tommys" Christmas ! Happy Holidays to all you fellow brickpickers!2 points

Was is Toys R Us today and noticed they raised the price for the Batcave to $125.00 and the Arkham Asylum to $180, $30 overpriced.2 points

Some stores don't ever do discounts on retiring / retired sets. I think it's just their policy. Of course this results in shelves full of sets no one wants to buy at RRP. Over here my local Fun store has what I call the "shelves off shame". Loaded with Ultra Agents, Chima, Lego Movie, Lone Ranger, .... No one buys them and they don't ever get a decent discount, so the sets just stick around for ages. Sometimes you get lucky and they dig up some old stuff from 5 years ago, but it's very rare and they are gone instantly. FYI Bart Smit does do discounts on retired sets, at least online. I scored some Castle sets a couple of months ago. Gold Getaway for 10€. You can see the discounted sets by looking for round prices. This is true for a lot of stores. Most of them have prices like 9.99 or 19.95, but discounted sets are 10.00€, 20.00€, ...2 points

Similar here in The Netherlands. Found a Mos Eisley Cantina in a local Bart Smit store in Lelystad last Tuesday. The box was showing a lot of shelf wear, but still sealed. I doubt anyone would buy it for RRP at that condition, except if they truly don't care about the box and only about the Lego inside. Not presentable as a potential gift, I mean. But for someone who wants to build it for themselves and throw the box away, it wouldn't matter much. If only the store would put it down at half price...2 points

There are many people that are not aware of some sales going on, that is the whole reason this chat was made in the first place. And chill, I never told anyone to act now; maybe that's the same place you got your information as the place where you get lego deals.2 points
