Their corporate policy does not allow for price matching in addition to store coupons. Unaware seasonal employees and managers willing to placate demanding customers will allow some people to be successful in violating these policies. https://corporate.target.com/about/shopping-experience/shop-with-confidence9 points

I'm really having a hard time wrapping my head around this price matching talk on this thread. Maybe it belongs over on the ethics thread, if so, then feel free to move it. Here goes, Members are pitting Target against Amazon on certain sets. For instance, Target has sets on sale this week along with the $10 off $50 deal. Amazon then matches the sale price minus the $10 off price. Then we go back to Target and ask them to match the new Amazon price and use the $10 off again? This seems highly unethical, or am I overthinking this?9 points

My best suggestion is to just mess around with it until you get the best combination. It changes so often it's hard to give sound guidance.6 points

I think JJ's film despite the flaws paved the way for RO. Regardless, I do think RO has a superior script to TFA. Edwards took more chances with the writers / reshoots and it paid off. RO is like Apollo 13. Despite knowing the end, it was a good watch getting there. In my opinion, Rogue One is the only prequel film to ep 4.6 points

I'm meeting @California92563 to see the movie in a few minutes. He wanted to cosplay. I told him I'd show up in my Obi Wan cosplay. What do you all think? He told me he'd be dressed like this, so I could easily find him:6 points

Damn...What a bummer. Sucks when large sets sell for under MSRP after it's sold out on LEGO Shop @ Home. I can recall when the 10179 sold for 20% less than MSRP on Amazon after it disappeared from LEGO Shop @ Home. What a disappointment.5 points

Found an unexpected pair of Wall-E's on the shelf at Target yesterday... wouldn't scan at the price checker... went to service desk where I discovered one of them had a $42 clearance sticker on it. The other scanned at $60. They refused to allow the $42 price for both, saying the clearanced one " ...is probably a customer return..." I'm thinking "...they're both returns you dummy...", but I keep quiet. Still not so bad... $60+$42= $102... minus $25 coupon and redcard + tax = about $38 each OTD. Also scored 2 70412 Pirate Soldiers Fort at BAM for about $18 each + tax.5 points

Last 40 min I probably teared up 3-4 times and had just as many geekgasms. I was surprised at how many scenes in the trailers didn't make the final cut tho.4 points

I'm in. 35 minutes until start. I can confirm at least 15 glowing lightsabers, 3 chewbacca masks, and a half dozen assorted robes amongst attendees.4 points

Because a lot of UK ebay sellers are quick flipping idiots who should stick to scalping west end musical tickets. In other countries it is moving steadily up. People have no damn patience these days and that is coming from me.3 points

I don't think we mind people boasting a bit or giving tips to a good "possible" deals. Some folks just like to sour the community or provide for their own self-interest without contributing. Folks can choose to block those members when needed. Yes, every store manager is hired to run the register.3 points

Yeah it's exactly what I was hoping for, a modern day OT film. It was breathtaking seeing part of the rebel fleet and the x-wings, tie fighters, star destroyers etc with all of that detail.3 points

Rumor says that dual batman polybag could be a freebie at certain movie theaters like when Lego movie came out. With a ticket purchase you were getting Emmett polybag, they had 2 different Emmetts I think. That makes sense to me but we'lI see. I remember running around city when Lego movie came out, buying tickets, getting Polybags, flipping those and giving tickets to friends. I didn't even see the movie till on tv lol3 points

yup. i admire how the film staff transitioned into that 1977 ANH look but what really impressed me was how "current day / modern" the film looked (in general) at the sometime.2 points

Dude that ending........ that was the coolest vader scene to date. And holy crap did they nail Cushing's likeness! I much preferred that to the ep3 actor and they did a fantastic job nailing the small details such as matching the looks of red and gold leader and of course Princess Leia.2 points

Not a star wars fan. The kinda thing I'm content to watch on a rainy afternoon on video 2 years after its been released. The horrible military tactics always just drive me nuts. Definitely a "casual layman" when it comes to SW. Mostly just went and saw it so I know what's what with all the new LEGO minifigs/models. That said, I was very impressed with this one. Arguably one of the best.2 points

The Trevi fountain is a very well known landmark. Although the set would have been better had they included the little gelato shop up the stairs to the right of it.2 points

The only standard no-hassle way to get a discount at BN is the $25 annual membership which gives you 10% off in-store or discounted gift cards. Discounted gift cards can be bought from cardpool.com or BN's annual Xmas offer of a $10 gift card valid after Xmas for purchasing a $75 gift card. There was a few days where it was a $50 gift card purchase that got you a $10 gift card. Then there's also the BN credit card for another 5% back. So, if you just buy $250, you have paid for the membership fee. In the past couple of years, Architecture sets weren't being regularly discounted at retailers like Target/Amazon, etc, so it was an OK discount and any discount is better than no discount.. Now that you can get bigger (20%) discounts regularly from Amazon/Target, it's probably not worth it unless you are also buying non-LEGO things at a B&M store, like maybe books?2 points
