Hi guys, so I have been very busy recently with my builds! I have a lot to share starting with this recreation of a classic scene. IMG_20161203_151458 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr This build sits on a 12x14 base. I have tried to recreate the weather vane as faithfully to the film. IMG_20161203_135638 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The Luke mini fig is a custom, which I dont often like using, however the printing work on this figure is outstanding and looks perfect. IMG_20161208_225410 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I am really happy with the technique to make the bridge and think it works really well. IMG_20161207_145604 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Originally I wasn't going to add a backdrop but I think with just the sense of the walls behind the action it helps set the scene even more. IMG_20161204_194619 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Anyway I am really happy with how this has turned out, it was a pretty quick build with just bits and pieces I had lying around! As always though I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions and may the force be with you! IMG_20161204_151421 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr10 points

I didn't see this mentioned but target matched the amazon price for spidey bridge. Buy two, get it for $57 ish with red card. Cheaper with discounted gc. That's good enough for me. I won't find it cheaper unless i find clearance.9 points

After seeing the Westworld MOC, I had to do it. Spent the afternoon Saturday combing through the bulk lot I purchased last summer and managed to get this all done w/what I had. Besides the hair pc for Dr. Ford and his face (which I will sub out w/the old Han from the new MF later) all looks well to me. I might add a couple more heads behind the glass, and a case for the gold but besides that, I am very happy with it.5 points

Just in case hasn't already been mentioned B&N 20 percent off all Lego Sets in store. Add the 10% percent off if you are a member and there you have 30% off. I had 0 Lincoln Memorials before today. I have ten now :-3 points

Meijer Dimensions Magic (plus there is a 20% off Toys coupon on mPerks valid until Wednesday, and a 20% off General Merchandise coupon for Thu-Fri-Sat - perhaps they combine): $10 off Dimensions Team Packs (regular price $24.99) and $50 off Dimensions Starter Packs, plus free Fun Pack. That combines to approximately ....... FREE. EDIT: The 20% off 1 Toy coupon likely stacks with this promo:3 points

I picked up a dozen of Obi-wan's Interceptor for $20 each tonight at a few different stores that still had them. This one has been getting very scarce the last couple weeks.3 points

I don't see the problem with this. Toys, even at reseller prices, are some of the best deals out there. Compare them to 1) any service provided by government, 2) health care, or 3) higher education and the value per $1 is 10 x higher. If I had any kids, they'd get a $1,000 shopping trip to TRU (stacking all the appropriate rewards and coupons, obviously) each December. People waste money on all kinds of stuff (the average poverty-level household in the US spends close to $1,000 per year on lottery tickets, for example). I would not put toys, especially Lego, in that category.3 points

How about I guarantee better purchasing prices in the spring, and higher demand and value for those sets the next Christmas. I'm buying now, what I can sell next Christmas. For example, I've already sold almost all of my Monster trucks, Sleeping Beauties and MineCraft Mines from this Spring. Not gonna be selling X-wings or even Lincoln Memorials (though I just bought one myself on discount).2 points

As a fan of classic Spidey, this hits all the right marks. Kraven the Hunter? Yes please. Scorpion? Oh yes. Classic Green Goblin? Oh hell yes. Plus, how many battles did Spidey have on a bridge? Some key moments there... I am not making a prediction; just offering anecdotal testimony about its awesomeness.2 points

Bienvenue! If you haven't read @Phil B yet, I recommend reading the following as you start navigating this madhouse and diving down the rabbit hole: Fundamentally, I believe the most important rule is that you enjoy LEGO in its most basic form: building and playing. The selling is always a bonus. Bonne chance!2 points

Received my Passenger Train set at Target. No exterior box and a small barcode sticker placed on set. However the box looks like it's in perfect condition. Maybe I was just lucky?2 points

Value your time appropriately. I had under-estimated how much time / effort / life i've been missing out on doing this. Value your time in the transaction, and what you could spend it doing rather than dealing with all this.2 points

Sadly the counterfeit ToA already exists. But there's a counterfeit version of literally every set at this point, including all the retired modulars and lots of other retired exclusives. Caveat emptor.2 points

For people that have been following Architecture, 21006 WH being a winner is no surprise. At least here in the US, it has consistently sold out at Christmastime at Amazon for at least the past couple of years and I distinctly remember a couple of BPers saying at least a year ago that they would load up if they suspected it was being retired. You can look at the past sales ranks on Amazon to see that it's high for an Architecture set. I'm hoping people have spent all their money on the recent TRU, Amazon and Target sales buying all the same Star Wars sets and leave the WH alone 8-)2 points

Today I dug this one out of my loft to accompany my EV. I forgot what a nice little set this is, good selection of minifigs, a building and a vehicle. I know the perception of the EV is hugely divided on here, but for me, one of my favorite sets, and I personally think 8038 looks great next to it, albeit a little cramped!!!2 points

I got lucky and picked this up in an EBay auction for $12 plus $10 shipping. All the minifigs are there except for one skeleton crystal head dude. Less than 10 pieces missing and they will be picked up soon with some other stuff on Bricklink. I already have this set loose, but didn't have a box.2 points

Thank you, AirborneAFOL. Wrote the e-mail. Packaged the correct item. Upon dropping it off at the PO, I mentioned what I did. Surprisingly, the first class package bin was still there from this morning. Shout out to my cheerful, awesome PO (Rumford, Rhode Island) - employee searched through the bin and retrieved the package. I will be taking the PO a holiday food basket next week...2 points
