  1. ~51% off Vacation Getaways (31052) @ Target [$69.99 down to $34.39] http://www.target.com/p/lego-creator-vacation-getaways-31052/-/A-50575450 edit: Corrected original price to $69.99 (thanks Jeff)
  2. People just be grateful Jeff is using his precious time to pull this data. It's not hard to find the RRP. He's doing the best he can. He doesn't even have to do what he's doing and some still find a way to find something to question
  3. I never saw this. LALALALALALA. I can't hear you!
  4. Some of the Ideas sets have had a relatively short run...which is a plus. Hell, Doctor Who hasn't even been around a year. The Sandcrawler will probably never be made again, unless there is a Jawa movie...which I doubt will happen. The Pet Shop is one of the most popular sets off all time and will still find some love later on. The SOH is a underappreciated set that will appreciate well once it's gone. Ewok Village and the Ecto are uber stockpiled, but they are still quality and popular sets. I think it is good news, but I can understand people being hesitant.
  5. 41999 4x4 Crawler Exclusive Edition I've always been a fan of power function technic sets and this one is one of the best I've built. It's a shame I was in my dark ages until this year, so I had to pay resell price for this set. It's a great set and the colours / stickers used in the set make it really unique.
  6. I didn't find anything good today at my wm store, but I did happen upon this in the book section. It's crazy what dumb things people do to steal a minifigure...
  7. I think this set wins most overpriced set of this year. $89.99 msrp for this is crazy.
  8. If it runs out of stock during the next month or so, this might be a decent Christmas flip. It's right in that "substantial but not over the top" price-range. I could see it fetch $99 in the weeks before X-mas _if_ it goes to Sold Out. It is also a great set.
  9. i guess new box matters - none of the sets that received new boxes (T1, TB, PC, Minicooper) seem to be headed out. SOH and PS which had no box remake are on their way. how are the people who loaded up on $180 TB's at Walmart a couple of summers ago feeling now? Have we made it to depressed acceptance or are you still stuck at the bargaining phase?
  10. Toysrus.com 15% off regular-priced toy purchase. Online only using code TOY15OFF. BOGO 40% off Friends, Minecraft and Jurassic World.
  11. PS to backorder 30 days and SOH till next week. Time for a little Banderas. And a bonus clip.
  12. Well, do you expect them to sell it for less than those on Ebay.co.uk?

Yes, a number of Belgian/Dutch resellers now carry (more) "exclusives". Bartsmit also carry Airjitzu, Batcave, UCS TIE, TB, Slave I, Brick Bank, T1, Mini Cooper, F40 and SW. They have very bad prices though, so only worth it if you somehow manage to find an amazing discount. The porsche is also pretty much everywhere. The whole "exclusive" / "hard to find" thing, is complete BS. They should just be honest and introduce the "expensive" tag.
  14. C2C = call us to check that we have no idea what we are doing but we will tell you any old nonsense to keep you happy.
  15. If you reseal the bags and box and try to sell it that way, yes. :-p
  16. What's going on?! Why is this set being so deeply discounted so soon after release?

The last minute PS buy at full RRP dilemma.
  18. LEGO aren't obligated to slap a tag on everything that's retiring.
  19. Lego Store (all bought for the family): Fairground Mixer, Star Wars Advent calendar, two Christmas bulbs and one Disney minifig pack (wanted Buzz Lightyear, got Ursula instead – it was late and the family was tired. My daughter gave it a good try and for Dad it feels weird standing there in the store smooshing packs). We already have all the Disney minifigs and Dad wanted a Buzz for work. I think there may a joke or punch line in that last sentence somewhere…Started the day with 435 VIP points, redeemed 400 (a deal with my wife so I could get the mixer) and ended with 414 points. I say this is a win! And the free set was 40222 (the 24 in 1 Christmas set, not the London Bus).
  20. I'm trying to hold out for 20% - Amazon 10244 - Creator: Fairground Mixer - $125.01 (17% off)
  21. Pokemon cards don't hurt when you step on them.
  22. Built the Seacow. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it looks very cool. I keep staring at it, it's just so nice.
  23. Have seen next weeks Big W catalogue. GBHQ back for $475, city advent calendar $29, and a few discounts on Star Wars sets.
  24. I am pretty sure they were $150.
  25. The gas station is right there with it.
  26. Target.com 60103 - City: Airport Airshow - $57.59 (36% off)
  27. I unloaded my a few months ago. Got out at cost, so I'm able to at least reinvest it elsewhere.
  28. it can't look any weirder/worse than a Friends minifigure squeezing so uncomfortably into the hot dog guy suit. <mmmmmm....mwhelp... gasp. i... can't breath in this thing. get it off... losing consciousness.. seeing light at end of tunnel.... gasp....>
  29. One more production run is not going to mean anything on a set that's been available for five and a half years.
  30. WALL•E €49,99 Backorders accepted, will ship by 28 Oct 2016
  31. The work we do for a deal
  32. Just to really mess with your head. I'm excited that more people aren't excited. Everybody seems cautious and scared after last year. I'd be more worried if these had gone to sold out within a few days.
  33. You get excited when Town Hall retires. You feel relieved when all the above go. That´s the difference. I doubt anyone hasn´t made their number by now - Wall E being the possible exception and it´s a question of waiting for SOLD OUT and seeing demand on secondary market sites. Don´t worry, I´ll get excited if any of them bumps 20% RRP by January.
  34. I believe it is more that many members have chosen reality over the illusion.
  35. I speculate it sells out before then!
  36. Most of the sets have been around for a long time, so I wouldn't completely discount it. One oddity I've noticed is the Ferris Wheel has been in and out of backorder a couple of times this month. was also surprised to see the maze on backorder till november too. I didn't think that was a great seller.
  37. I think he means the custom, non-disclosed algorithm that places search results in a particular order, not necessarily by best price (default sorting is "relevant", and what EBay considers relevant is determined by that algorithm). Probably same gripe as the Buy Box on Amazon.
  38. Just remember: Amazon = Everyone; EBay = Deal Hunters; BrickLink = Collectors only. There's orders of magnitude between them in terms of eyes. Sure, if you have desirable sets that you know Collectors will want, by all means eliminate fees and list on BrickLink or even better, over here on BrickClassifieds (0% fees).
  39. I bought the large jestro castle for my son with my eBay bucks. I got one with a damaged box to save a little extra as he won't even look at the box as he rips it open. Now I have to find a good time to give it to him. I am very bad with surprises. He wanted the jestro castle or more Pokémon cards and as his cards are all over the floor of my truck I figured I will not buy more cards until he takes care of what he has.
  40. you mean market street re-release is next?
  41. I'd like to see the math on that. I'm guessing you have to narrow your choices to the absolute optimum $50 purchase in order to make that 45% discount real. Also, the 20% off sounds good in theory, but in-store (where the promo is) many of the shelf prices in my store are marked up 10%. But if your store, and your buys are working for you, then good. For the items I'm interested in, it's a tepid discount. 'Course it's possible the smart ones may be those that are collecting and holding the promos. From what I hear here, many stores are running out of these in the first days. If they don't make more, they could be highly valued someday... but just look like some generic, random figs to me :/
  42. Ewok Village is an excellent LEGO set. Every collection should have one.
  43. I think we all know what's going to be assembling in the square... It will no doubt be the jewel in the crown that is the modular line.
  44. This is a great set for the money! Where can we get 20 minifigures to build an army for this price? And we still get the plates and all the other pieces of the chess board. I haven't done the math but I believe this set is dirt cheap when it comes to the price per brick/minifigures ratio! I will get at least two, just wish Lego Europe made the same discount they made in the US.
  45. They can still be purchased separately. Including them only drives up the price and makes it less accessible to buyers, so I can see why they wouldn't do it.
  46. People don't want to pay for extra PF parts if they already have some so including them in sets won't happen. Everyone is better off like this.
