I think you're in the minority with that mind set. I think that's exactly why it appeals to people. "Oh another tie fighter and X wing..." It's a close UCS without the sticker (which the badge means nothing anymore) it displays nicely and I honesty think it will do well post retirement for that reason...it's different and from an iconic scene/battle. Anyone 21+ who grew up with OT would want this set. It may not be for everyone but don't be mistaken and say it's a led balloon. I personally havnt built mine yet but looking forward to it and displaying it. Has more to "look at" than most all grey ships.

Back in September I started sorting through a recent Craigslist find and two pieces happen to end up in my hand at the same time. The train cow catcher, and the coffin lid with bats. I'm not a train guy but when I held these two pieces together i just knew they would go well together! And with it being so close to Halloween, I felt it just clicked. I borrowed some of the basics of typical lego train builds for the base but after that, it's all me. The Spider body utilizes a modified Lowell Sphere. I present my Halloween train & red backed spider MOC.

I got a shipping notification from EBay a few hours after I purchased. It said the item was sent with Media Mail. When I went to my purchase history to pick up the Tracking Code (I keep my purchases and sales tracked until they are delivered), I noticed there wasn't one. Said Media Mail and an expected delivery date, but no number. Until today, when it suddenly switched to Priority Mail with a tracking number. Hence my theory about them having tried the Media Mail route and having to switch to Priority Mail when the PO refused to accept the package.

I think what you see in your online banking is just a credit card hold. Lego normally will really charge your credit card when the order is ready to ship. If you have used a debit card I am sorry as I am not really sure how it would work. We can read the fine print in the Lego website to find out.

I did "some" orders, at the moment I am not at home so I cannot check if they delivered every order. (But I hot confirmation, that they Sent every Order) But I guess it depends on which item. It appears that Galeria does not like to send exclusives out for that prices in greater quantity but with "usual" Lego stuff it seems ok. For the record, i have been banned last year during the 40%glitch when I went a little bit Tabbyboy-style. Out of 36 orders, they delivered only 4 orders. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose.

FYI: In Germany there is a non-official band for all QFLL folks, called "Die Flippers". While "die" in German simply means "the", the band name might as well be read in English (adding a comma in the middle) and still make sense... Two of their records were QFLL-appropriately called "Kein Weg zu weit" ("No way too far") and "Sayonara".

Hello all, My name is Matthew from SoCal and I've been a fan of Lego's from the early 80s during my elementary school years. I was a space Lego fan and that went hand in hand with my love of Star Wars. I passed my Lego's onto my younger brother as I got older. Eventually my mom saved them and stuck them away in the garage. Fast forward 25 years and I was able to retrieve them and use them with my 3 year old daughter. The Legos were dusty and a bit dirty so I separated all of them and tossed them in the washing machine on gentle for an short time. Attached is a pic of them air drying. I ended up sorting by color into small boxes and have been grabbing a handful of Legos to use with my daughter. I made a Lego storage/build tray for under her bed. Currently its filled with some assorted blue and grey space bricks and some horses from my brother's knights collection. Supplement with her recent firetrucks and mini figures and we make up stories as we build. I've recently purchased the new holiday train, WV toy store (2nd gen), Santa's village, and just ordered the UCS Slave 1 (can't wait for that one).

What's most surprising to me is that for a lot of sets, the initial clearance prices at Wal-Mart have nearly been matched with time by Amazon. For example, I was pretty stoked when I found Mystery Mansions for $64 bucks, but they've been available on Amazon for $72 for weeks (months?). Another great example is the First Order Transporter. When it first came out, RRP was, what $109? Eventually it got knocked down to $89, and it's still available for $72. The most baffling example is the new AT-ST. RRP is $39, but it was immediately "discounted" to $32 pretty much everywhere. RRP is really more of a suggestion now.

You can get a few sets on the Toys R Us store on NewEgg with $25 off $200 coupon MPGAMER16 if you use masterpass checkout. Works nicely for me since it's free shipping and no tax. I grabbed 2x 42039 24 Hours Race Car sets for $183 shipped. Could be used for any other number of sets though. The fact that it's not a ship or an iconic character will hold this back when compared to most recent SW retirements. Hence 300 tops is probably about right. Hence after fees and costs you're probably going to be lucky to clear 100 assuming you bought in at 20% off RRP.

those have all been widely "picked" and stashed over the years. the only set that is mentioned that stands a chance of being underhoarded is SOH because of the price and size and ugliness (I've built one). I snagged some for $250 from walmart a few weeks ago and will probably buy another one with double vip this weekend. expecting a lot of AFOL to have not gotten around to getting one of these and maybe a decent post EOL bump along the lines of Sea Cow if supply dries up quickly. i didn't see wall-e get mentioned on anyone's retirement prediction. Pet shop and SOH were retiring soon 2 weeks ago on the Korean website. I guess that meant something. these broadcast EOLs do nothing more than sound the alert to those who's investment strategy revolves around buying at the last minute and selling into the post EOL bump for a little bit of dough and that trade is getting more and more crowded. obviously this has gotten out to the big resellers - when was the last time we F5' a set that was going EOL and out of stock on amazon, or TRU or anywhere. choose wisely. the most important retirements are the ones that happen without any fanfare. those have yet to come.

Time to start stocking up on 75105 MF´s at half price.

Let's not get into the "it's just plastic comments." It is silly. Diamonds are just rocks...Gold is just a metal...Stamps are just paper...Whatever...Collectibles are basically worthless items if you really think about it. And yes...it depends on who says it and how they say it. Some people are trolls and look to stir the pot.

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to disagree with you there. Having built this set and being a huge SW fan I found this set hugely appealing !!! The attention to detail in relation to the film is great and it is one of my favourite builds of late. Yes it can be classed as a 'play set' however I still think it is a great display piece, and it always gets the most positive comments when I show people my display collection. Personally I think this will do just fine.
