  3. 8275 Motorized Bulldozer. I actually started this set a while back, but half way through i realised that the set was missing afew pieces, so I had to bricklink the missing parts. Advice for people who plan to build the set, pay real attention to the placement of the power functions cables, i didn't follow the instructions 100% and realised after i built the set that the PF cables get caught on some of the gears and this results in the front part not moving up correctly.
  4. Minecraft 21118 mine $150 free shipping eBay (I have sold around 8 the past 2 weeks) my buy in was between 26-50 a few months ago AT ATs 75054 $230 free shipping. I only had 3 left but bought them around janurary for 75-87 imperial Star destroyers 75055 $220 free shipping I have sold 6 the past 2 weeks and buy in was 75-105 also bunch of minifigures and used stuff as I usually get used lots during garage sales and separate them out to sell around now
  5. Rancor Pit for $150 FBA. This one is outperforming Jabba's Palace.
  6. I don't think many people are buying at Lego Shop @ Home for 2xVIP month this year, when compared to last year at this time. Hardly any sets are heading into backordered status, and I suspect we are going to see a very slow phase out of sets. This is making things harder to gauge what will actually retire. Other than Slave 1, most of the other exclusives just hang around. We have entered a new era - that much is obvious.
  7. Hello Fellow Brickpickers, I'd like to introduce my Lego Ideas project to you: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/155763 Meet The Fiat Bartoletti Race transporter from the fifties. This is definitely a car i would like to see in an official Legoset Your support is more than welcome ;-)
  8. You can say about this set what you want, but this video is pretty neat.
  9. Star Wars. The whole theme is retiring.
  10. Disney Castle showing in stock at LEGO Shop at Home. I tried to add to cart but it wouldn't let me. Said to call CS. I called and they were able to submit an order for me. CS rep said reason it won't add to cart is because it is going in and out of stock sporadically. Double VIP + Mini Advent + good xmas flip item = time to buy a few. I'm not pushing my luck by ordering multiples at the same time so I'll try for another tomorrow if it still shows as available.
  11. Did you build a bat-tank? Today I finished my Ghostbusters building. From the Ideas set I only built the Ecto 1. That's because I think about selling the minifigures as I plan on getting the Firehouse Headquarters at some point. Then, the minifigures would be redundant. The abundance of silver/metallic pieces used in the Ideas version is a nice touch. Also, no stickers to be seen! The last build was the new Ecto 1 & 2 set. On the plus side, it has functioning doors and seats for the whole Ghostbusters team. I could do without the stickers though. The new hairpieces are cool. Both Ectos are nice builds and look cool but they seem to be rather large compared to the figures. Finally, a shot with both Ectos next to each other:

  13. I drove past a garage sale a couple months back and I saw one of those Lego storage towers sticking up in the back. I took a shot and checked it out and sure enough all five storage drawers were filled. I asked if they had any more and the lady brought over an opened Helms Deep box. Inside was a partially disassembled Helms Deep and a couple other LotR sets. Ended up buying all of it for $25. I left my number and said if she finds anymore just call. Well not even 15min after I left she called and said she found two totes full. Went back and sure enough two big totes full. I noticed that there were about 30 unopened bags inside of it. Seems like her kid would only open the bags with the minifigs in them and just leave the rest sealed. Crazy. .....oh yeah the two bins were only another $25.
  14. 75% off at Barnes and Noble starts today. There may still be stuff out there.
  15. Depends on your buy-in. At 40% off, probably not, at 10% off, probably too many.
  16. 7 new Tie-Fighters... Is 13 enough?
  17. Amazon has Lego Ideas Maze on sale for $50.88: https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Ideas-21305-Building-Piece/dp/B01BC3GJY4/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1476077677&sr=8-8&keywords=lego+ideas Walmart as well: https://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-LEGO-Ideas-Maze-21305/47335829
  18. Found a stash of rebel a-wing pilot polys at TRU and got enough for the minifigure giveaway. I also didn't actually buy the batgirl minifigs but I waited on line at comic con to get one and ran back to the end of the line to get another before they ran out. No luck on the third.
  19. I'm gonna be pretty brutal : u won't get the answer u are looking
  20. Build some stuff from LEGO Dimensions today. I started with Adventure Time level pack and Harry Potter team pack. Lord Voldemort is absent as he won't be staying in this household. The next build was the Ghostbusters story pack. This was the first time that I encountered stickers in a Dimensions set: What a bummer! I had hoped that they would print all those pieces but besides the minifigure only 3 pieces were printed, e.g. the small Ghostbusters sign. I don't really mind smaller stickers that are easy to apply but those big transparent stickers were a real pain. Due to dust particles and a bubble they now don't look the best upon closer inspection. Another issue is the sticker for the Ghostbusters sign which isn't opaque enough to look white on a black background. Up next are more Ghostbuster builds. Hopefully I can finish those tomoroow.
  21. Don't worry. Exclusives don't go for 3x MSRP any more. If SSD and TH haven't made it yet nobody else stands a chance.
  22. really impressive, random friend came to my place and immediately recognized this

  24. Just to give some data out on vouchers, I bought the 30 quid one today and it cost me €34.50 with Amazon converter. That works out at an exchange rate of 1.15 against the 1.11 official market rate, in increase of 4%. if you pay in GBP and use your own credit card company´s rate, you will probably pay 3% more (standard CC commission) so the difference is negligible, unless you are purchasing a huge amount or you have a no comms deal on your credit card. You will only find out the hit once the transaction is done and can´t cancel so Amazon´s converter is a safer, if more expensive method. Applying the 7 pound promo to a 30gbp purchase gives a rate of 0.93 - a rate unlikely to be beaten unless the sky falls in on the UK.
  25. It´s luck. The link on coupons pages did not work but it appeared in my shopping basket this morning. Might have something to with me not actual confirming the purchase and they want to push me as I have been using it to compare exchange rates! If you don´t validate the Amazon promo link first, you won´t get the offer when you buy a gift voucher.
  26. I think if you know how much you have invested in them, you should consider putting them in groups on ebay. Sealed bag lots sell well and you should be able to make some money on them. There is also Brick Classifieds on here, too.
  27. Is what you have sealed in bags still bundled together by set, or do you have large tubs of random sealed bags with no info on which set they came from? Especially for retired sets, you can get good money for sets that are sealed bag, no box (do you have instructions?). That requires you to be able to identify which bags come from which set, which would be difficult in the scenario where all bags have been mixed up. (There are unboxing videos/articles that you can use to identify bags from sets but there's quite some effort involved in this exercise).
  28. Go to Catalog->Price Guide, type in the set number in the "Parts" section and there you go. Alternatively, for better control, download BrickStock and do Ctrl-I-I, enter the set number (including "-1" at the end) and once loaded, do Ctrl-A Ctrl-G to get the current prices.
  29. Just checked my box, I got the FO Stormtrooper and the Spiderman poly!

  32. Sadly no as I have college that day
  33. I am always willing to show members my office at work. It's filled with glued Lepin sets. If someone lives in NJ or the Philly suburbs, feel free to reach out. My house is a damn mess. Looks like a hoarder's house in the basement. Sad.
  34. Included in The B&N 30% off items is the massive Star Trek USS Enterprise NC-1701 Mega Bloks. In for one!
  35. Either Santa Workshop or a Sandwich?
  36. And be available for $9.99 in about 9 months from now. Made the rookie mistake (just coming out of my dark ages and really digging those minibuilds) to buy all 8 2014+2015 bricktobers for RRP .... luckily to display and build, not to resell, but still, I like my sets to gain in value, even the built ones.
  37. Please not Voltron.
  38. 10178 Motorised AT-AT and 75074 Microfighter Snowspeeder The AT-AT is probably my new favorite set. I know it is not as good as some previous models, however I love the Motorised function. I really hope Lego do an updated UCS Motorised AT-AT on a bigger scale, as this set was only 1137 pieces.
  39. So why did they retire UCS Red 5 and AT AT and ISD on the eve of the 1st new movie release? I maintain that SC and EV are done this season.
  40. Couple of recent builds. Claas Xerion was a great build apart from me missing a cog from the gearbox and having to tear it half apart again. At £80 it was probably the best value set I've built in a while in terms of build time and enjoyment. New RO At-St next to its big brother. I can see a lot of these being sold as they'll be coveted by OT AFOL's aswell as kids. Finally I gave one of the architecture skyline sets a shot. See what i thought of them and if they'll be worth investment. I just can't see how these will catch on. The buildings are so small to show any details. I love the normal architecture sets, I'm amazed how they can create detail at small scale but these skylines are simply too small, I can't see many people posting over the odds for a complete set.
  41. More of a "what did you build the past month or so", but i've enjoyed some great builds here at the end of summer / beginning of fall. I'm late to the Modular game, but after building the PR awhile back I caught the bug and really enjoyed the Pet Shop build. I agree with a statement someone made somewhere on the forums - everyone should have one of these. I missed out on the snow speeder when it was sold at retail but managed to snag a used one off of eBay for about $25 after I sold off the rest of the lot. So much nostalgia with it! I know this isn't anything new, but this was my first Hoth set - I was so close to rushing out to buy an AOH except for the obvious: no AT-AT available at non Brickpicker prices. Such a missed opportunity for LEGO... That said, the IST brought redemption... Wow, awesome! Love it! I bought it off Amazon early this year back when I thought 17% off was a "good deal" (thanks BP community for setting me straight on that one), and even though I'd have loved it for cheaper, it was still well with the money. Lots of great thoughts on this board about the future of LEGO (and of course investing), but these three builds have reminded me of how much I love building with LEGO.
  42. Kylo command shuttle .. Used the original kit.. Then added 40-50 extra black pieces a lot are minifigure base plates, black tiles and cheese slopes.. Took away a lot of the light grey pieces.. Added a Radar. Changed up wing tips . Redesigned front end. Covered rear showing technic holes on main cockpit area. It's a work in progress I guess.
  43. Built the UCS Tie the last couple nights... I have to say, what a fantastically repetitive build. My fingers are sore, the instructions were hard to read, but who ever designed this thing did an awesome job. Solid, detailed, HUGE but seemingly in scale with the Xwing. One complaint... Stickers. Why oh why do they make complicated stickers? I think I got them on OK but that stupid little red down arrow sticker might have been the WORST placed sticker ever. Makes the Maersk stickers seem easy.
  44. Love the brightness on top of an old antique closet!
  45. 31048 Lakeside Lodge
  46. I've never seen a Harry Potter movie. But happened upon a bulk lot with 4842 in it back in 2014. I really enjoyed the build. I thought it was well up together.
