  1. Rancor Pit for $150 FBA. This one is outperforming Jabba's Palace.
  2. Sold another Rapunzel Creativity Tower FBA: $80 Purchased Jan 16 for $20 Originally I thought the new one would hurt the value of these, though I'm beginning to think the new one being smaller and much worse is helping...let's see if we can get to $100 by Christmas
  3. Just ordered another 2 airports for free from kmart. 79.99 each. Plus 15 off 150 purchase then 149.98 in shop your way points. How can you not love kmart right now?
  4. Tru ad : 20% off MC , champions , Eleves and ninago bricktober part 2
  5. Kmart now has the Creator Vacation Getaway for $49.40 with SYW magic easy to get it WAY lower.
  6. Lego sets are ringing up properly on BN.com now.
  7. Not sure if flash on or flash off looks better. I made a little alteration to the VC with the figs. Fun Halloween build for 2 years now
  8. I did some on the office supplies. Clearance clothes were 100% back in points at kmart the other week. Somehow wound up with $10 more in points than I spent? The deal on Levi was actually on all pants. Then I used my VIP benefit for 100% back on one item to $50. We were buying a fridge and stove anyways and got $350 back. All in the last month I've gotten ~$800 of lego for free from kmart buying regular items we normally buy anyways.
  9. You can say about this set what you want, but this video is pretty neat.
  10. All 20 I bought from Amazon last week are 38s6 codes.
  11. I think that article about trying to slow down business is really part of their plan. The new death star, rehashed star wars sets, leaving modulars skip a retirement - all show some signs that they are trying to do a minor undermining of the reseller business which at times must overwhelm their production capacity. I've seen it happen too many times over the last few years to realize it has to have an effect. Just look at all the people that sacked the sandcrawlers when it was temporarily sold out for a minor period of a few days. I bet many many thousands, if not 10,000+ were sold in just a couple days around the globe. Things like that have to create bottlenecks. So, undermining and upsetting the reseller market so they don't buy as much the next year and keeping business sales a little more natural, if that market is slowed seems like a solid concept.
  12. Don't worry. Exclusives don't go for 3x MSRP any more. If SSD and TH haven't made it yet nobody else stands a chance.
  13. More of a YCIM (Your Cashier Is Mistaken)
  14. B&N is having a 30% off sale for Columbus Day here in the States. Also applies towards this set. http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/toys-games-lego-ideas-doctor-who-21304/28883183?ean=0673419243766
  15. 1st place: dinner @Ed Mack's house, with a VIP tour of his collection, and a "surprise" set to take home...
  16. really impressive, random friend came to my place and immediately recognized this
  17. I answered a Facebook group posting for a used, some sealed bags 10188 Death Star last night Before I could finish typing the response, they had lowered the asking price from $50 to $25. I'm super-skeptical at this point, but I take a chance and drive an hour to meet them this morning. 19 lbs of Lego: Looks like the majority of the Death Star is there, including some of a Hogwart's Castle for $25 + $8 for gas. Oh, and I found a dime in the box.
  18. I think there are a few reasons. Overall, enrollment in Catholic schools is down across the country. I think the economy plays a large part in that. It's hard to come up with an extra $5000.00 a year to pay for a school when public is free. St. Paul School used to have well over 300 kids in it, but the old nun who ran it well retired and a lousy principal took her place. Many families left because of this principal. Also, the old head priest of the local church and school was not engaged. A new, younger and active priest has taken over and has done wonders for the community. We also have a kick ass principal now who sets high standards and busts his butt for the school. He is from a large public school system and has really instituted some impressive programs. Last year as a Kindergartener, my son Max had Spanish, computers twice a week, art, music, gym twice a week. Public schools don't come close in many cases. I think what has also hurt was that even with the new principal and priest, there was always a feeling that St. Paul was a great school...but it might close, so some people were afraid to make a commitment. We liked the school so much, we said screw it, we will make it work. A lot of other families feel the same way. We picked up an additional 25 kids this year, which is great. If we can increase it next year another 25, we could be in good shape. As for the voting, they have won many awards and their graduates finish top of their class in many cases. Bottom line...it's money. Anybody with experience in Catholic schools know that tuition is only a portion of what you are asked to "donate." While I am not a over the top religious person, we chose St.Paul because of its programs and reputation. There are kids from all walks of life in the school. All types of nationalities and religions. They teach manners and respect and there is a sense of goodness that permeates through the school. It is worth fighting for once again. Believe me, the school community prayed last year for a miracle and the LEGO raffle delivered. They.....AND I...are grateful.
  19. Hi Folks. I'll do the same as last year (copying Mos' original idea) to support the children of NJ's St. Paul School. For each "LIKE" THIS SPECIFIC post gets, I'll put $1 toward the raffle. Thanks, JA Is Online
  20. Forget Astrid's curse. What I dread is the lifestar curse.
  21. Keep in mind that the GBP - EUR rate may not have reached the bottom...
  22. thank you both for your perspective! :-) I will keep close attention to my alerts and notifications on the 3 amazon sites then thanks Val-e for the reminder about the gift card: I remember you writing this suggestion in other thread: it is a great and cheap way to implement a currency rate swap :-)
  23. Nintendo NES Classic Edition. I am cautiously optimistic about this one. Also watching the Anki Cozmo AI Robot. At the very least, I'll be grabbing one of these for the family. Looks cool!
  24. I agree. Perhaps they will also review the 6 month returns policy. If SC stays another year, more than a few people will send theirs back. They also use the retiring soon tag to move stuff they have too much stock of or is not selling well. The Exo Suit fiasco could well have been one of the instigators - another reason to hate that set. I´ve stopped trusting SAH tags and data as it is even less credible than what in-store employees say.
  25. Thank you for killing my hope ;-)
  26. Just about to build this set my seal code 38s6
  27. So we just walk into his house...look at his personal collection...grab something we want from it and then leave? In for 7 more tickets!
  28. Just received a new 10232 from Galeria Kaufhof (Germany). Code is 05S6. Is demand slowing down? Are there any newer boxes in the wild?
  29. It's an odd set. AFOLs admire it more than your average 9 yo Ninjago fan. But we don't really give a crap about the minifigs (at least the ninjas). At $200 it's not a terrible value for it's piece count but it would have sold better had it been a $150 set to begin with.
  30. I ended up with 4 of that set and never bought one I think my son got them for birthday gifts and maybe we got one used in a lot. We built a really awesome daily bugle modular out of it. I'll have to post photos. The figures are great and some of the stuff inside like the desks and spider man signs are neat too
  31. Resistance X-Wing $46.98+tax after $8 discount and $25 surprise points (on purchase of $25 or more). Thank you Sears/KMart.
  32. Amazon and Walmart final duel : $56.95 (29% off)
  33. No '66 bat cave? Darn
  34. It is a TRU set...more likely the Sith Infiltrator retires and this takes its place.
  35. SC from the triple VIP and EUR 10 off arrived without the FO Stormtrooper but with a different polybag...
  36. Included in The B&N 30% off items is the massive Star Trek USS Enterprise NC-1701 Mega Bloks. In for one!
  37. Star Wars. The whole theme is retiring.
  38. Ended up ordering the tie striker for $10 off ($60 plus tax), then with the combined bonus points earned and the $10 off $50 ordered $60 worth of paper towels, toilet paper, etc and paid $4. Then finally figured out the clothing deal and ordered about $65 in jeans and t shirts and got another $65 in bonus points. Once those show up I'll probably get the Lego creator lighthouse. I love Kmart.
  39. Maybe I just bought it from one of you lol...looked back at the SH sets and only 2 that I want that I don't have. This is one of them...I doubt we see Dr. doom in Lego again. I had like 58 dollars to use on eBay so I figured why not...
  40. Petra by Letranger Absurde
  41. nice and quick read : http://money.cnn.com/2016/10/06/technology/amazon-warehouse-robots/index.html?iid=ob_homepage_tech_pool
  42. I bought two spongebobsquarepants for 15 bucks at flea market. They are complete and boxes are in excellent condition. Set 4981 and set 3826. My son always wanted set 3826. He is a big fan of spongebob. That was a great deal for 15 bucks for both.
  43. Built the original outhouse today... TP and Tower Crane included. Pretty cool build... But instructions have come a long way!
  44. One sold for $658 yesterday.
