  1. Official pics just released on official uk Facebook site Arkyum asylum looks great. Bat boat from the batcave set looks good. Looks like they're focusing on playsets. Wonder if the classics 60s batcave could be a candidate for early retirement given the batcave set.
  2. My son built 70835 Ronin R.E.X. I've got to admit it is pretty darn cool. Some of the best designs seem to be in the Ninjago line.
  3. I think I watched that gif for a solid 5 min.
  4. What did FN-2187 do to get put in Arkham??
  5. I bought two spongebobsquarepants for 15 bucks at flea market. They are complete and boxes are in excellent condition. Set 4981 and set 3826. My son always wanted set 3826. He is a big fan of spongebob. That was a great deal for 15 bucks for both.
  6. I think the better question to ask is do kids still like dinosaurs?
  7. I wasn't a fan of this theme a few years ago, but I really like the newer sets. The figs are pretty neat, too. I would have wanted these really bad as a kid. Ninjas are always in style.
  8. Mickey Mech from the 8 year old.
  9. Mork was on Happy Days first.
  10. Or this little guy was to 41999.
  11. Exactly what I'd imagine from Super FRIENDS line
  12. At least all the seasonal sets for this year are consistent ....... ..... consistently ugly.
  13. You guys and your bananas and babysitters. I won't post a relevant .gif for that.
  14. Looks like most people want retired sets right? Remember brickpickers, some people will be donating Lego, you still want retired sets? You have crapload of exo-suits coming your way lol...
  15. 3 points
I just finished building krennec's shuttle and I have that I really enjoyed building it! The whole building process was different than normal so it held my attention and I really dig the all black color scheme, it's very slick. The minifigures are top notch in this set and they are all exclusive to it so that was definitely a Bonus. Another cool thing is that there's 4 seats for troopers versus 2 that I originally thought. There isn't many stickers for it being this big of a set so I appreciate that and the new cockpit piece is very impressive looking. Overall I highly recommend it especially at a discount. If krennec and k2 stay exclusive to this for awhile then it'll definitely help it value wise.
  16. Arkham Riddler looks like he came out of Clockwork Orange.
  17. Like when Mork visited Happy Days? The rehashes are now cross themed. Palpatine will be in the next version of the White House with the new Han Solo hairpiece.
  18. Almost looks like he got a job... I guess he's out of SW VIII.
  19. The Batcave and Mr. Freeze sets look good. Arkham...eh. I like the spooky look of the last two AA's over the more "this is a prison" look of this set. Different enough that people should still want the old ones.
  20. Those sea lions on the piers ain't cheap
  21. update #3 - still there, over a year after my original post, and the price has gone *UP* to $10
  22. Holding out for 20% off.
  23. My son is still too young (still duplo building). I have no other children. Just too early for me as explained.
  24. Or u can just build it with the kids
  25. I can confirm this set can be added for purchase. However I did not buy. (All of the below commentary is opinion only) My reasoning is simple. 371.xx after tax risking investment dollars for minimal $$$ gains when flipping. The huge box is a risky shipment. Can be easily damaged during transit causing a higher rate of returns. Will it make money sure...but 40-50.00 is not worth the risk of 371.00 dollars in my strategy book. I like the set. I plan on owning a few. But not this early in the cycle.
  26. Ok, which one of you is buying underwear with their LEGO? (this is what came up when looking at the U-Wing ... of course, their site doesn't work with Chrome, can't add to cart)
  27. If anyone was hoping to get double VIP on the Disney Castle, it is in stock again at shop.lego.com
  28. It amazes me how fast prices drop. It's almost like there's an early adopter tax now. Which is why I'm holding off more rogue one personal builds until they get discounted. With SW & SH it seems like 20% off is the real rrp that you'll see within a month of release, 33% is a reasonable discount but resellers shouldn't consider investment until the discount is 40% or above
  29. Avoid just released sets unless they are for persona build. Those offers will come around again next time and you will tying up money and space for nothing. October is the best time of the year for toy sales and offers as shops undercut each other to get early sales in before Xmas and there is still plenty of choice.
  30. So far, the Rebel A-Wing pilot has only been seen three places - at LL California during Star Wars Days (one weekend in May), San Diego Comic Con, and LL Florida for SW Days (one weekend in September?).
  31. Heads-up: Nexo Knights The Fortrex listed at Brickwatch for ~ GBP 60 but on Amazon UK now for just ~ 48 GBP. That's close to 50% discount, including shipping. Maximum 2 per order: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B013JQDXKA/ In for 2.
  32. It was upto $25 for almost all office supplies. I say almost because for some reason my printers ink toner didn't count. But office supply category is huge. Includes school supplies, office furniture, office cleaning supplies and break room supplies. So I bought a lot of tape. A lot of pencils. A few pencil sharpeners. Binders. Note books. Dry erase markers. A box of rice Krispy treats. Boxes of Bugles and Gold Fish. Paper cups. Paper coffee cups. A dry erase magnet board. Lots of things like this. I'm waiting on an order of Lavazza coffee beans. Oh, and one order of garbage bags.
  33. This was reported on another site: " Today in the mail I got a Meijer flyer that has a coupon for 50% off a single toy item! It's good through Oct 23."
  34. I sold a few at 145 on ebay a few days ago. I checked earlier today and noticed many had been added in the 100-125 range hopefully they will go quickly and back up to around 150.
  35. Sold a mine for 159.95 + sh. Be patient.
  36. I had to order mine online, since I couldn't find them in the store. I don't bother asking them to look anymore.
  37. That's actually my favorite idea yet. The bad investment lot. People can send in their shelf-warmers and someone will get a huge bundle of random sets. If it ends up as 20x Exosuits, even funnier
  38. A $400 ultimate anniversary modular LEGO set?!
  39. Something like this with an underground parking garage.
  40. My daughter and I have been working on these for the last couple of weeks. All done with them, now to hang them in her room. All 5 Elves dragons and the Pegasus sleigh.
  41. I've liked all the Batman Lego Movie sets that have been revealed thus far, and these are no exception. I think I still prefer the last AA to this one, but I'll be happy to have both. Also can't wait to see what the minifigure line has in store. The sets are setting the bar pretty high. My absolute favorite aspect of these newest reveals are the three extra batsuits you get with the batcave! It's like four batmans (batmen?) in one set! Hello, 60's surfing Batman!
  42. You are doing something horribly wrong if storage fees are cancelling out your profit. Even a Tumbler sitting for an entire year would be $30 in fees. Smaller LEGO sets that fall in the $40-60 price range costs less than $4 to sit in the warehouse for an entire year. If you're not making more than $4 on a $50 set over the course of a year... To give an example, I have sold 1,287 LEGO sets so far this year. My total storage fees for the entire year, for ALL of my products, is only $13.87 to date. Are you sending items in as soon as you buy them and letting Amazon store them for a few years as the price goes up? I really can't think of any reason why any LEGO set you have would even sit in the warehouse for a month, let alone a year, unless you were just trying to get an unreasonable price for it... in which case just keep it at home and send it in when the price is where you want it to be. Either that or you're paying too much for the sets you buy if undercutting is an issue for you.
  43. Also alot of sellers won't even care about the long term fees. As long as the entire operation is net profitable overall then those fees are just another tax deduction. Depending on your business model it may not be worth your time removing and then resending the inventory. That ship has sailed. Anyone new can't sell lego and those who are just doing FBM will most likely stay in their comfort zone. Those few who do try FBA will have done so on their own anyway. Now that the gate is up I keep Fight Club for the buying side of things.
  44. Grrrrr, you made me look it up
  45. Trash bag Halloween costumes for the whole family this year?
  46. is that the reception for the kmart parking lot wedding you posted a couple of weeks ago? the only thing more eagerly anticipated than the new modular announcement is whether any modulars retire ever again or if one or two modulars retire this year to make up for last year when none retired (or was last year making up for 2 retirements the year before???)
