I felt the force today. I picked up a used Star Wars lot locally through OfferUp. 6 sets for $350.00 cash. No boxes, but all are complete with minfigs and instructions: 10236 - Ewok Village 75055 - Imperial Star Destroyer 7965 - Millennium Falcon 75021 - Republic Gunship 75054 - AT-AT 9493 - X-Wing9 points

Funny story. A couple weeks ago when I saw the London Bus promo come up in a thread, I cursed myself for missing that promo. When I want to the garage tonight to look for the Mystery Mansion to build, I realized that I had three sets of the London Bus. I was very happy with this discovery but also very troubled that I had forgotten that I ordered the VW, T1, and Mini Cooper during that promotion. My Lego addiction maybe getting out of hand.7 points

Agree on the derailing. First thing my kids do when a train comes out: max speed! Second thing: build barricades on the track and smash trains into that.4 points

Hi Folks. I'll do the same as last year (copying Mos' original idea) to support the children of NJ's St. Paul School. For each "LIKE" THIS SPECIFIC post gets, I'll put $1 toward the raffle. Thanks, JA Is Online4 points

The same idiot who keeps adding the d/c by manufacture tab added that to the 75101 alt listing . Opened a case and asked that whomever adds those deceiving and misleading titles be shut down .3 points

I built this last night, and it was fun overall. It's pretty big and I get a kick out of retractable wings. Like Fossil said, as a troop transporter, space in the troop hold is limited, but I love it's features including how the hatches swing open and the mobility of the door guns. I also appreciate the overall low number of stickers, but I wasn't happy that I had to put stickers on the cockpit canopy. It's not a forgiving place to screw up on. Really looking forward to next year's Y-Wing to put along side this baby!2 points

My son built this today, and I helped in spots. Overall, this set is cool to see in person, but it's also a little underwhelming. My main problem with it is the space in the cargo area - it's extremely small compartment, and you might be able to get 2 mini's in it, but good luck getting more than that. There are many elements of the design that are cool, though. I especially like how they made use of the flick fire missile technique. I was wondering why the flat plates were left loose but during the final bag it became evident, as you push a flick missile into the spring loader, a blue plate slightly rises up where you use that to press down and fire the missile. But, the lack of compartment space is a drag. This is no republic gunship or even First Order Transporter. Overall, it's ok. My son loves it though and has been playing with it for hours, so I guess that is what ultimately matters.2 points

Well went all out today, I will have enough VIP points to get 2 Castles this week to hopefully sell for Christmas. I was Lucky enough to get all these at one Lego Store, as for where all some Star Wars sets, I have plenty Ewok Villages, Sandcrawlers, Slave 1, Tie Fighters.2 points

Some EU data: TIE vs A-Wing is backordered over here, not oos. As for the Rogue One sets, it seems that this is pretty much the order in which they went to backordered status: AT-ST TIE Striker Krennic's Imperial Shuttle U-Wing Hovertank Obviously they could very well have different stock levels, but it should give some indication as to which sets are going to be the most popular. I think AT-ST is going to be a winner. Other sets that are now backordered: Vader's TIE vs A-Wing Naboo Starfighter ASSault on Hoth Sandcrawler Imperial Troop Transport Geonesis Troopers Wookie Gunship Out of stock: Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter2 points

Ha ha. Ahhh the games they can play and really its probably only messing with the re-sellers. Seriously though wonder if there's any legality behind slapping that tag on then just doing more production runs. Depending on your definition of soon it probably is technically "retiring soon".... like if our time frame is the life of the earth Just back from TRU - 40S5 and they have about 6 on the shelves (and apparently a few more in the back). Can still add 99 to my basket at tesco and doesn't look like any online retailers are OOS of this one. Could still be some sizable stock around. Given the label and that this is pretty readily available at £35 might take a while to clear out the flippers once it's gone. April 2017 is when the next series comes out (in the UK) so i reckon this one will go under the radar till then. And with Rogue One and all the SH sets I think that might take the attention of the new to lego investing crowd and leave this on the side line (and take even longer to clear out). Another set I actually love. Some good parts too and one of those sets that spans the age and gender gap. As people have said don't discount SciFi fans when it comes to memorabilia and especially the cult following of Dr Who. And even to hit 1.5x RRP (so double where most can get it) once EOL it's not that much of a ridiculous price considering. Maybe not as good for those not in the UK. But if you can get this at a price where you're breaking even after fees, postage & tax when selling at RRP...... actually on second thoughts these aren't the sets you're looking for....2 points

Why won't we do it again or why is it better? Why not do it again ... because people got all hot and bothered and wouldn't accept the math. Why is it better? Because in a nutshell, if you only spent money during 2x VIP you're maxing out the reward of real cash. Not earning VIP on $5 is the same no matter the bonus, you don't earn cash back. If you spend all year long, it makes very little difference but if you target promos, spending your points during 2x VIP doesn't matter... what matters is that you spent cash. If you're making the entire purchase with points, then it makes no difference. I can dig out the thread later if you want.2 points

Appears it was designed by the same crackpot who is designing the other seasonal sets. This had so much promise, but it's so ugly.2 points

We can do this again, but we won't. The proven fact was that spending money and points ONLY during 2x or 3x VIP events makes the most mathematical sense.2 points

It´s "Lego", not legos. You know, Like Sheep..... I do believe that Lego produced a website at one point, legos.com, that had a simple correction "were you looking for LEGO"1 point

The mini advent feels like $20 shipped on eBay, the snow globe should be more like $30-35. As others have said there are much better advent calendars available for $30-40 RRP, and those have Minifigures and better parts- so there's definitely a ceiling for this one. The mini advent has super common parts and little display value. Something that can add to someones winter/holiday display is always going to be a good seller - sadly no gingerbread house this year.1 point

Lol my store has a strict 1 promo per buyer policy so people can still get 1 after work. The only downside was I could only score 1 with $8 mini Ghost1 point

I’ve a suspicion that the production was planned prior to the announcement that there wouldn’t be a season this year. The lack of a season this year has no doubt lead to the reduced demand, discounting and retirement. This may not effect the dimensions sets.1 point

Well the good news is it should only take the horde 4 years to sell through their stash so that should leave 6 months or so to make your 20% profit before the pics of the remake are leaked.1 point
