  1. I don't think that ewok is to scale.
  2. Kylo command shuttle .. Used the original kit.. Then added 40-50 extra black pieces a lot are minifigure base plates, black tiles and cheese slopes.. Took away a lot of the light grey pieces.. Added a Radar. Changed up wing tips . Redesigned front end. Covered rear showing technic holes on main cockpit area. It's a work in progress I guess.
  3. This free money is starting to sound like work now.
  4. Well the good news is it should only take the horde 4 years to sell through their stash so that should leave 6 months or so to make your 20% profit before the pics of the remake are leaked.
  5. It's pretty bad how many time they've "forgotten" to give me the promo polybags.
  6. Found a fix for the 404 error! When the url comes up in the address bar if you delete the 'p' after the item number it will load the product page and let you add to cart. I just put in four orders and have about 8 more to do, but thought I would spread the workaround first. I have a store near my father in law that has 8 Brick Bounties in stock!
  7. There's still time to build these today. Well, here are a few small builds from myself. 75011 Tantive IV & Planet Alderaan: Alderaan is the plant resembling Earth the most, and I can imagine using it in a museum lobby in the future. LEGO Dimensions 71228 Ghostbusters (Ecto-1/Peter Venkman/Ghost Trap): I wanted the non-slimed version of Peter Venkman to add to the Firehouse Headquarters when I get that set at some point. Also, I was surprised that the Ecto-1 build is obviously supposed to be the full car as it doesn't look that way on the packaging with only front wheels being visible.
  8. Easily solvable by hiring the loitering pot smokers.
  9. so u can only take one build home . Gonna be some nasty tantrums next month .
  10. I assure you 10220 has been hoarded in massive quantities for many years. Nobody snoozed, but there is a very good chance everyone will loose with it. Nothing like TH at all.

  12. more end of the quarter ebay bucks promos. 10% in bucks on $50 or more through the 27th.
  13. Appears to be back to full price. That's what I get for eating dinner.
  14. I do too, but it was bed/bathtime so I figured the screenshot was better than nothing at the time.
  15. korean SAH lists PS and SOH as retiring soon.
  16. Hi Folks. I'll do the same as last year (copying Mos' original idea) to support the children of NJ's St. Paul School. For each "LIKE" THIS SPECIFIC post gets, I'll put $1 toward the raffle. Thanks, JA Is Online
  17. More $2 baseplates at Kmart
  18. Part of the haul I just got .. Scored another brick bounty and 2 train station half price
  19. This morning 6:30 was able to complete 4 differents orders... And as I got to stores found more good lego that wasn't even advertised on special ... So to me : spend 200$ to get 50$ gc + canadian tire money cash back + lego half price .. Nothing can't beat that
  20. Oh! Is this the TRU complaint thread? Cool! ... I'm noticing my TRU has more Lego in stock than ever. The regular Lego aisles are fully stocked...and now growing outside the normal Lego section... given shelf space up by the front door, in the Star Wars section, end caps, and now Friends and Elves are moving into the main aisle next to the bicycles. I wonder if the recent coupon / discount drought is having the same effect around the country? My store has shelf tags up for the F.O. General promo, but with everything marked at RRP + 10%, I can live without this polybag. I expect to see loads of them for sale in store next week for $4.99 or $5.99.
  21. Still scored 2 pirates ship at 95$ each, 3 ninjago sets already 50% off, 2 cinderellàs castle 50% off, 2 cargo train 50% off good deal, 4 star wars transportation 50% off.. And few cancellation .. But at the end decent haul.
  22. Somebody still thinks it's 2012.
  23. It's really dumb though, I really just think TRU employees and managers don't care. They really shouldn't be doing anything that deters a customer from returning or taking away from a pleasant shopping experience. Poor management, plain & simple.
  24. yeah it is a lot different now. It used to be get as much into title that related to it to pull it up versus nowadays being specific and cross referencing the keywords used in title versus categories etc. Best bet is always copy a title in the top few listings that you like as it is already up in the search and the algorithm likes it. Price, Shipping, handling time, feedback are all primary in getting the listing up higher. Then concise titles that give enough but not to much help in where it pulls up. Also stuff like centering text and using other colors in your description lowers it as well. Sell through though from experience is the most important. They don't want items that are not selling near the top as it doesn't do them any good. They are apt to push a listing higher that has a higher chance of selling. Also have experimented of late with quantity. If you have a hot selling item it seems better to raise the quantity higher then keep it running low as the algorithm sees the potential of sales especially if a hot selling item. Tried it recently with a few products that were very hot that I had a lot of and instead of keeping my quantity at 25 or so raised to actually what I had of like 150 and sold 65 in a day as it got main promotion through all the search engines. Which makes sense that if 2 people have the same item and 1 has 100 and the other 10, they stand to make way more fees from the guy with 100. I know your question was more specific of pulling up in search then placement but they do go hand in hand in some aspects.
  25. It's more profitable just not to communicate with your employees. That way, when it's a mistake, the customer doesn't notice. Kinda like how TRU doesn't know about the FO General polybag this week, or "forgots" to put your free polybag in with your purchase.

eBay sellers that state a faster shipping method in their listing than what they actually ship. Parcel select is not Priority and Smartpost is not FedEx Home/Ground, I had back to back sellers pull this stunt.
  27. Can confirm the target dimensions fun pack BOGOF Is active in store. Just picked up two for $11.99 total. Edit : shows up on the in-store scanners as active, but not at the till. Needed an override based on the ad. Then noticed the ad says "available Tuesday" under it, so this promo might only be truly live tomorrow. Also, get your flu shot at Target, paid by your insurance, and get a $5 gift card.

I like this setup for the Cantina.
  30. Here's my 2 cents on Ebay after some shitty luck lately being a Buyer... 1) Package the damn item so it is likely not to get crushed... Recent Example, bought one of the smaller Lego sets that comes in a small box (75 piece), the seller shipped it in a god damn bubble mailer. The box came crushed, which I didn't really care about, but what if I did? And don't be that seller that claims that my neighbor probably stepped on it. I've ordered 1000's of items by now and nothing has come damaged ever except that stupid box that is full of air in it, inside a bubble mailer. I also don't live in a city which means my "neighbor" would have to run all the way over here, stomp on it, then run all the way back home. 2) Tape the **** out of it!!!... Recent example, bought a loose set of Lego (about 5 lbs worth) and the box was only tapped on the two main seams, and not the entire area's where anything could leak out. I was at the door when it arrived and pieces were literally falling out of the box as the mailman handed it to me. I couldn't believe it and and at the same time, most of the "Lego" pieces were actually megablok. The total weight upon arrival was just over 2 lbs. I never thought that packaging was so tough to understand but in a matter of a few weeks, two items were pretty much worthless upon delivery. When I mail items out, I do my due diligence in making sure the item is properly packaged and shipped and don't cut any corners. I know it's not possible to have 100% of delivery's go well, but the shipping folks do a pretty damn good job getting things to where they are supposed to go and odds are if it is packaged correctly, there won't be any issues upon delivery.
  31. While I appreciate deals in any form, am I the only one that prefers a product link in lieu of a screenshot?

Mine shipped about an hour after ordering. I think Amazon tries to ship my orders quickly so they can use ground and not two day. It doesn't work as they usually end up missing their delivery estimate by a day.

  35. This. Screen cap every part of the process including the promo banner and details. I take screen caps of EVERY part of the process. You will not get your bonus points unless you email SYW after 45 days. Seriously. When I've emailed them in the past without screen caps, they will deny that there was a promo in the first place, deny that you properly logged into the SYW site and you'll be **** out of luck. These SYW bonus offers are only for the diligent.
  36. Completely agree. What a disaster.
  37. Had to ask for the first order general polybag at TRU (this is normal --- someone commented it is amazing how many times TRU forgot the promo poly....I've NEVER had any TRU volunteer the free poly...ever lol). Was told they don't have it three times, then suggested (for a fifth time) to check behind the customer service counter, in that open brown box right there. Finally got it, was able to buy just one.
  38. I had to use a different browser where I was not signed in to LEGO Shop at Home with my VIP account to see that message. While signed in and trying to click through to the Pet Shop I got an error message instead.
  39. This promo will be available in Europe between 23 October and 10 December with a minimum purchase price of 65 Euro. Source: http://www.promobricks.de/lego-holiday-countdown-kalender-ab-65-euro-mindesteinkauf/20213 This coincides nicely with our Double VIP promo running between 14th and 31st October.
  40. 100% agree. Buyers like to see the set built and that all the pieces are there. Taking a picture of a bag full of loose pieces is pointless.
  41. Cue the "I just bought 50 hellicarriers" in the buying thread...

  43. Hmmmm... I see nothing built yet.
  44. Here's a pretty cool TIE Interceptor MOC using this set I found on http://www.fbtb.net/2016/09/13/this-ucs-tie-interceptor-moc-is-the-bees-knees/ http://m.imgur.com/a/SOaVL
  45. In the last 20 hours I built the remainder of 6 sets. From those sets I only kept the parts I like while the other stuff will be sold or is already gone. 76046 Heroes of Justice: Sky High Battle: The helicopter looks bulky but contains some nice green parts. 76026 Gorilla Grodd goes Bananas: I love the small transporter and Wonder Woman's invisible plane is nice model with all those clear pieces. 76025 Green Lantern vs. Sinestro: The set contains no stickers and the spaceship looks amazing. Great selection of parts in four different shades of green. 76050 Crossbones' Hazard Heist: Some great parts in dark orange plus other useful stuff like window frames, fence pieces and so on. 76041 The Hydra Fortress Smash: Some useful bricks and pieces... and I really wanted Quicksilver. 76058 Spider-Man: Ghost Rider Team-Up: The street corner is nice and the construction of Ghostrider's bike was a lot more interesting than I anticipated.
  46. I cracked the seals on a 10240 this past week and my partner is building 10219 (she builds, then I'll motorize). The train will go nicely with our new layout... Currently under construction. The table is 90.5" x 50.5" (or 9 x 5 base plates) and has a shelf hanging in the middle for extra parts (but not right to the edge to make it easier to stand up against and play).
  47. Spent some time and built the new Spider-Man Web Warrior Bridge (76057). Had to modify and combine two, of course! Then added lighting into the side and top of the towers, and under the bridge as well.
  48. I also built 10252 beetle today, my daughter built the London bus, :). The beetle looks good with his brothers together.
