  1. Paid $300 for an almost complete Monster Fighters collection. All that was missing was the Zombie set. Edit: the vampyre castle always gets destroyed in transport and is in another bin somewhere unless the kids got into it.
  2. Sorry, but no way Scooby Doo performs as poorly as Lone Ranger. No. Flipping. Way. BUT if it does, I can still build a life-size Mystery Machine for my son. Win/win.
  3. Yep I've been posting all those photos. I'll try and post City next.
  4. That explains a lot.
  5. "dude" could be a reseller and wants to stay under the radar.
  6. #literallyeverythinggetsremadebecausedeathstarisbackthough
  7. took the last 4 months off from selling. priced it right and boom. all sold in a day. clearing out the small Super Heroes rubbish and freebies. all FBM including shipping fee. Gingerbread House x 3 - 49.99 each Spidercycle Chase 76004 - $33.50 each x 4 Ironman Seaport Battle - $31.50 x 1 - only one i have of this one - good riddance. Batman Riddler chase - $44.99 x2 - two left. not terrible performance given the cheap buyins for the Cycle chase and ironman sets but still thought they would get to at least $40 by now. probably need to switch to FBA but that will be next year's project. now that is the next frontier for brickvesting - bartering/swapping for other goods and services. i'm trying to figure out how many chickens i could get for a Grand Emporium.
  8. Got these 5 today, with 30% off, plus 10% Credit card, Gift Cards, Rewards points.
  9. I really like this theme. My kids like this theme. The minfigs are great. Daphne is great.

It reminded me of ST Voyager's Delta Flyer.. Maybe 1 of the Rebels writers is 7of9 fan

You guys are learning, good job! Someone will ruin it for you, but good job nonetheless. The Duel is lame, but now I'm not worried about The Phantom 75048. Looks like it's getting some unneeded changes in "Rebels". Yoda's Interceptor also appears to be a new "Rebels" design.

So why is kmart struggling? Could it be the practice of shipping one set (ordered about 10 sets over past couple days from them) on an order placed a couple days ago with free shipping selected. No packing at all. Thankfully only minimal damage to a corner. Win for me this time, but we all lose if they go out of business.
  13. God help their souls when they see it for the first time.
  14. Man I always like your thoughtful posts, but I need a dislike button today. Just because you only like technic sets these days that's no reason to bag on my Creator 3-in-1 sets. I think for $30 to $80 price points, most of them are outstanding. At any rate, I'd hardly call them "turds"
  15. Lots of Scooby left at Walmart, TRU, Kmart, and Lego Stores near me. It might be a regional thing then. Still, I'd only buy at 50% off or greater.
  16. Us too, more Jurassic World left here and Scooby is gone.
  17. 40% off. It says only fun packs and I think the only new one is the A-Team, hopefully it works online for the preorders for the next wave, that way you could pick up E.T. and Fantastic Beasts since they weren't included in the 40% off.
  18. Yep, I'm good. I don't need any more.
  19. Amazon has the product page up for the 2016 Gund Bear. I added it to my basket so i don't miss the free with purchase window. https://smile.amazon.com/GUND-4058254-Gund-2016-Plush/dp/B01FF02Q3S/ref=sr_1_3?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1474652363&sr=1-3&keywords=amazon+gund+bear
  20. Death Star Final Duel at Walmart clearance for $19. App showed out of stock, stock checker website said limited availability. Found one in the Clearance aisle.
  21. The heck with more and better trained cashiers. The heck with improving the inventory system, effectively advertising, or replacing the dingy environment. We need more great R&D ideas like this.
  22. You do know these will be $30+ next year, right?
  23. Here is The New Elementary review. Lots of printed pieces with no sticker sheet in sight and so many useful parts in new colors!
  24. 3x Raptor Rampage for $25 each. Target clearance.
  25. Yup lol. Luckily for me my childhood was graced with the prequels.
  26. For all the Trains and Gingerbread Houses I accumulated last year, I can't for the life of me remember what I bought.
  27. You aren't their target audience.
  28. My experience is that it pays off to make the same shopping cart at all 3 sites (SYW.com, Sears.com and KMart.com) and see which one gives the best combination of coupons. Seriously.
  29. New hi-res pic of the offer from the October 2016 LEGO Store Calendar: I had speculated previously that it might be one of the regular advent calendars, but clearly, this is not. Set number 40222. It's a different set than any of the advents. As the image says, it will be free with purchases of $99 or more from October 1-25, 2016.
  30. That seems likely, since this one has been around for over 2 years now, right? It's a nice set. I like having it displayed on my shelf.
  31. None of the sets are showing as on sale on the website so that's a neat trick. At the moment I would use the $10 off coupon on either 2 Carnage shield attack sets or the Ghost Rider set for maximum bang for your buck and the offering of exclusive minifigures in those sets. The Iron Man/Ultron set is the same price as the carnage one but I don't see the same demand for that set given the easy availability of these figures elsewhere. I also don't expect the same demand for the Crossbones or Hydra Showdown sets as for the Ghost Rider set. $10 off a $25 set is 40% off right there.
  32. Thanks for the reminder! Need to set a reminder in my Calendar for October 3rd. The London Bus promo starts on October 3rd, so we actually have two days to make use of this promo.
  33. If you take into account the Buy It Now listings, then that tends to be on higher end in terms of price. The auctions however tend to be a bit on the lower ed of things from what I observed before selling mine a week back. I certainly wouldn't be able to pull off selling it for $1,050. That's just a bit much. But yeah, flipping them does make decent profit from now until whenever they're re-stocked. Plus, with the Holiday Season upcoming, there are more opportunities for flipping the set for increased profit.

Got all the 1st wave TFA sets for 50% off except the Falcon. Hoping for the same here.
  36. My local LEGO store has all the JW stock off the shelves and in the middle of the store... The place where product lines go to die hopefully.
  37. Poor K-Mart....I ordered trash bags along with about 3 other small things to max out the $25 back and to get free shipping. I had 4 items totaling about $32. All four items were shipped individually. They really took a bath on shipping my order, it's kinda sad.

Had this set next day aired to my studio so that I could get it shot and edited as soon as possible. Enjoy.
  39. Hide the power tools...
  40. I'll be passing permanently. Just getting some for boys. @Bold-Arrow what was the record last year? 400+ sellers on Amazon?
