  1. As an engineer with an advanced degree I consider myself not the dullest tool in the shed. That being said this SYW stuff baffles me. What a mess.

  2. 2x JW IRB at Wal-Mart for $30 a piece. This particular Wal-Mart puts out empty boxes with the "See associate for help with Lego products" sign for the large sets. This so far has worked in my favor as they usually don't sell, even on clearance because no (normal) person feels like waiting 20 minutes for the associate to go find the manager with the key to find the locker with the set. Just made it home in time for the Survivor season premiere.

  9. YMMV but my Kmart has a blue light special going where all of the clearance stuff is 60% off instead of 20%. I stocked up and bought all of the halo mega bloks that I wanted. The best part was I had surprise points so it made everything 75% off lol.

  14. My experience is that it pays off to make the same shopping cart at all 3 sites (SYW.com, Sears.com and KMart.com) and see which one gives the best combination of coupons. Seriously.

  15. The way the new SAH web is working, I´d mark the 18th to log on and maybe by the 19th, the list of sets will have loaded.

  22. Personal opinion : you should be fine and I doubt anything bad would happen . However with the current changsd who knows , I've never heard of anyone getting shut down becuase of it , "just" a warning and they were buying in large quantities . Abd just because I've never heard of it doesn't mean it didn't happen . Lol

  24. the right way of doing it is to have 2 buying account ( individual and business ). Never use prime on your business account for items u plan to resell at any point and never use your personal account to buy items u plan to sell .

  26. Not a huge fan of the Snowglobe giveaway. FAR from what we got last year with the Gingerbread house! With that being said in for 3 .

  27. You cancel the sale if they pay by PayPal and specify local pickup. eBay, but their own admission, should back you up in case of negative feedback. Here is the rub.... If you DO NOT offer free shipping, the buyer who chooses local pickup will always contact you about how to pay since they won't want to pay to ship it! If you offer free shipping, there is no incentive to contact you!

  28. I like Gen X chances. That move restraining the other team could have been huge. Should have worked if they hadn't have put THE dumbest person on the puzzle. Oh well just one week.

  36. I guess Merlin has exclusive rights to them at the moment. I got mine from Leogland DC Chicago (Schaumburg) as a "freebie" with a specific ticket package (the one with a free lego gift). It was an option among three others to choose from...the obvious choice. They did not have them for sale in their store as of July 2016. Edit: Just a word of caution. Don't be surprised if these turn up in large quantities at a Target or whatever later on. Would highly recommend a quick flip for something like this.

  42. Every once in a while you come across a song that truly moves you. This song is one of those songs for me. Michael Stipe and Asha Bhosle are fantastic. The entire Album, 1 Giant Leap, is about the journey of music and how it affects our lives on a Global scale. A truly beautiful album.
