I would shy away from sending an invoice through paypal. This would take it out of the eBay transaction. Instead I would call ebay and see what they can do to straighten it out. You are after all, paying them.

I probably hit one of you guys up over here .... Purchased the Ecto-1 from 75828 for $24 (vehicle only) after a 20% off promo by the seller on EBay - plus got $2 in Bucks. Really just wanted the car to park next to my other Ecto-1, so this worked out great for me. I always try to do the math in my head before I checkout so I have a good idea what the total should be with the 10% TRUTH just in case the discount isn't applied correctly by the cashier. I've had to get it adjusted a couple times before and it's a real pain because you have to return and repurchase everything.

Who hates the TIE Advanced? It did very well last December when it was sold out everywhere temporarily. I flipped quite a few of them for decent profit on Amazon FBM and have been slowly restocking. It's been hard to acquire at a steep discount, which bodes well for the secondary market price when it does retire.

I quite agree - I built ours with the kids as well (9 and 6) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. It's full of great details. The GBHQ now sits on our display table and is the first model they play with when the LEGO mood strikes. Our Ecto 1 usually ends up crashing into the Haunted House but that's a story for another day... The only issue I had was the colour variance between the dark red wall bricks - the 6x1s were noticeably darker/duller than the 4x1s. LEGO as usual kindly offered to replace them but I think it gives an (unintentional) real world feel to the model. Tsk, tsk - get those fascia stars lined up properly. (Sorry, my OCD made me say it!).

Finished selling thru Research Institute 21110 on Amazon. 143 units FBA for $42.70 - $42.80. Buy in $15.60 (purchased 1/2015). $33.06 after all fees and shipping. Not the best return in the world but FBA made it oh so easy.

Sold my creator townhouse 4954 for $180 on ebay, buy in was $40. Manuals, complete but no box. It was a great build and I was a little sorry to see it go but that's what we're here for...building and making money...so I got to do both...Tried to explain that concept to my 6 year old son...we need to understand that attachment should be kept at a minimum in the ultimate pursuit of profit. I love this set! My husband is from Somalia so we totally built this with a small boat behind it. I am waiting for all his friends to buy my extra ones from us just because the Captain Phillips movie. In reality that whole situation is so depressing, one has to have some humor.
