  2. Call me a sheep, call me the target audience - I don't care; I'm all in. I can't wait to see how people MOC this up a bit. I know I'm going to want to add a car or too. Or a caboose. I don't care. I love it!
  3. I'd like to congratulate LEGO for maximizing the profit potential for a set from popular theme. - $100 for 734 pieces (judging by the pieces, this set is not going to be that heavy), WOW ! - Plus just enough tracks so people will have to buy more tracks if they want the train to go around a Christmas tree. - Plus you have to pay more if you want to motorize the set Worst part was, I could not decide if I was being sincere ( ) or sarcastic ( )
  4. I made a home for my Space Slug set on my desk at work. Here are a few pics of this small collection. I have some other stuff I haven't set out yet after my recent office move.
  5. Hey Will, here's a picture!
  6. How about Queen Amidala, then?
  7. I just can't get that jazzed about this set at the $100 price point. Hopefully we get a nice promo like last year to offset the cost. Going to need the Gorilla Suit guy a la Trading Places. I would say the cats out of the bag on flipping the winter sets. Look how many sellers there are for Santa's Workshop on Amazon.
  8. My daughter and I built this Bionicle Skull Scorpio set today. Impressive and detailed build for a small set! The claws in the back snap open and close using a neat rubber band mechanism. Best $7 I spent and she is so happy
  9. ...and this is why I'm swimming Changing Seasons.
  10. Fixed the picture for you..
  11. It's like Santa is in an incubation chamber, healing for the next long night of deliveries.
  12. Jet.com has a new code good for $10 off your next 3 purchases of $35+. This code is good for new and existing accounts. The code is BACKTOSCHOOL05, and it is good until 10/31. (Not sure who's going back to school that late!) I just used it successfully on one order -- 60044 City Mobile Police Unit for $25 shipped.
  13. I didn't see the drawer before. As if I needed to want this more...
  14. Guess what's back with all new 2016 seals... NEW Trick or Treat Item: 40122 Ages:7+ VIP Points: 0 Pieces:133 Retired product
  15. Did some Sears /Kmart magic today. (Thanx for the lessons guys) Snagged 2 $100 Sears GC Tuesday on eBay for $88 a piece. ($14 back in ebucks 8% promo) bought 2 mystery mansions for $78.99 from Sears =Total $168 or $148ish real cost with GC discount. BUT purchase earned 30%, for a whopping $47 in points. Took $29.98 of those points to Kmart with $10 SURPISE points off $35, and grabbed 2 ghost rider sets(shipped free with no tax). Still have $17 left in points,$14 eBay bucks and $32 left on my GC..
  16. Go fly away Birds.... I bought some from SAH for $31.48 each right before they retired the set, now just waiting for them to stop showing up! When does migration start? perhaps that's when they are gone for good....
  17. Yes sir. I think this will be QFLL gold before Christmas.
  18. Hmmm. Maybe it should have been: BACKTOSCHOOL16
  19. Wonderful! Got a Changing Seasons for $27 ....
  20. Do you take requests? If so, please have Jar Jar Binks' upper torso pop out from the cake every 5 days or so to keep us honest.
  21. Just built the Louvre! Couldn't wait to build one after visiting it this summer! Next up Eiffel Tower or Parisian cafe ?! [emoji848]
  22. I purchased these today at one Lego store but had to make two visits, one before my work's meeting and one after.
  23. I don't know man. He missed the memo about including a helicopter in every LEGO set Although I have to admit I like the little robot
  24. CM4Sci works fast. Photoshop guru.
  25. No instructions but here's some more. I want them all. https://www.flickr.com/photos/27892707@N08/sets/72157662137780770/with/23312035453/
  26. Dude, no, it's so we don't have to see Jar Jar jump out of the Death Star.
  27. BACKTOSCHOOL06 works. Just used it. Corner Deli + some gum for $27.
  28. i think 10254's impact to 10173 will be similar to what happened with the first 2 batcaves. (i typed this a couple pages ago). after the 10254 hoopla has died down, 1) folks will remember once again 10173 is pretty scarce due to it's limited run and 2) it's still better than 10254 in many ways. to me 10254, looks more like a refresh to the Toy Story train set than 10173. s
  29. Some forum members are now probably hoping even more desperately for the long awaited 75159 pictures to arrive before this weekend [emoji6]
  30. I can't see it dropping the much. They really are fairly different sets, with a different target audience. Like I said a few days ago, there's such a limited supply of NISB 10173s out there, that I think the prices will stay somewhat stable. You might see a dip in prices for 10173 this year and maybe even next year, but in the long run, I think it will be fine.
  31. Who needs holidays as excuse to party in train? But specifically for New Years Train, you would need a Gorilla Suit Guy and a businessman with suitcase minifigs
  32. I was looking the other day, and I realized I don't own a single Darth Vader minifig. But I think I've got a Jar Jar laying around in a bulk lot somewhere. As for Leia - yes, I do have Leia. I like this idea. I'm going to do some digging in the garage this weekend to get some "add-ons" out (including Jar Jar). I have a couple of things I'm going to add starting this weekend.
  33. Code has been active for 11 years and they just figured it out.
  34. Or a guy with a mop to clean up the mess left by people partying all night long in those cars
  35. Great idea! Although I would prefer the 6210 Leia torso [emoji1]
  36. he did say stay on topic ...smh
  37. What u talkin about? Cat looks like he's life of a party
  38. Found 6 @ Walmart for $64 each. At that price, I have no hesitations for this set.
  39. Finished up my BB-8, a slightly different take than the one that @Locutus001 did about a month ago. I did bricklink the stand from his build because I like having the option to display it with the stand or without. Comparing the two, the biggest difference is in BB-8's head, though there are differences in the body as well. Definitely a fun little build, and it displays great. It was my first BL project, so that made it fun as well.
  40. Thanks for the info! I was trying to decide whether it was worth it for me to drive to Walmart to return the four I purchased. This was much easier!
