My kids saw it in the little LEGO mailer and they like it too... then again, they always want me to buy them that garbage from the toy vending machines so I take their opinion on quality with a grain of salt. _Maybe_ if it goes on a great sale it would be worth picking up.

I have a secret weapon. For those that don't know I'm an industrial fire fighter for a local refinery. Whenever I go out deal hunting I always wear my uniform. It seems to help out in negotiations....lol.

I think this needs to be a massive set to interest people. Let's face it, most of the Modulars are wonderful sets, but they are losing their luster a bit. It's time to make a statement.

As much as I would love a Modular Hospital, I really want one in City form. 4429 does not count either. For all the Fire and Police Stations we've had from City, can't believe we haven't had a decent Hospital. Even the old one from about a decade ago only had decent size because it was sitting on a giant baseplate. They have to be chomping at the bit for a Lifeflight helicoptor. It's the final pantheon for Lego designers to design that white helicoptor with red and blue lights and change out the "police" sticker with a medical emblem on it. With that said, Lego, please don't put a coffee shop(or something similar) on the corner of the hospital. Just dedicate the design to a singular building. I understand the storyline with the laundry next to the bank, but it takes away from the bank to have it there and it makes no sense from a construction perspective.

Got my BL order in for the 9 pieces I was missing for the Death Star 10188 that I picked up for $280 a couple months ago. This is the first time I have built a set without the kids, who are visiting their g-parents. So far I have just finished the minifigs and a little less than half of the Death Star. In other words, the pics of the new Death Star should be leaked on Friday this week as I finish up.

Decided to crack open the never retiring Pet Shop today. After building FB and then GE, I wanted to keep going in order. I will say that so far I'm enjoying the build. I think the techniques have improved with each one. I do like the little brownstone that I've built so far.

Don't think the CSRs know what they are talking about. Price mistake is one thing but intentionally up-charge a customer from what the sales order stated is illegal and fraud.

Just finished my UCS Falcon.. took much longer than expected (mainly just to sort and FIND the pieces needed for each step) but worth it. It's bigger even than anticipated but also "loose" in areas. Having built nearly every other large Star Wars ship, the top panels don't secure the way I expected. Either way, it's an icon for a reason.

The playsets tend to have a slower growth rate than the vehicles. Just looking at some of the recent examples - Duel on Geonosis, Palpatines Arrest, and even the Cantina have shown a slower growth rate, than some vehicles that were released during the same time that retired. Looking back, it was better to stock your money in Gunships, than to buy an equivalent amount of Duel on Geonosis, even if it has a very well done Count Dooku figure. Same can be said of Palpatines Arrest - a great set with awesome figures, but for some reason, the money would have been better put in X-wings back then. Last year, Cantina's haven't shown the same growth rate as AT-AT's and ISD's. So, I'd suspect something similar here. The IST will more than likely grow faster than the Final Duel's, and while I think investing in a few is a good bet, I think it will just be a moderate investment with very slowth growth. It will eventually double, but other sets will double much quicker.
