My kids saw it in the little LEGO mailer and they like it too... then again, they always want me to buy them that garbage from the toy vending machines so I take their opinion on quality with a grain of salt. _Maybe_ if it goes on a great sale it would be worth picking up.

I have a secret weapon. For those that don't know I'm an industrial fire fighter for a local refinery. Whenever I go out deal hunting I always wear my uniform. It seems to help out in negotiations....lol.

I think this needs to be a massive set to interest people. Let's face it, most of the Modulars are wonderful sets, but they are losing their luster a bit. It's time to make a statement.

As much as I would love a Modular Hospital, I really want one in City form. 4429 does not count either. For all the Fire and Police Stations we've had from City, can't believe we haven't had a decent Hospital. Even the old one from about a decade ago only had decent size because it was sitting on a giant baseplate. They have to be chomping at the bit for a Lifeflight helicoptor. It's the final pantheon for Lego designers to design that white helicoptor with red and blue lights and change out the "police" sticker with a medical emblem on it. With that said, Lego, please don't put a coffee shop(or something similar) on the corner of the hospital. Just dedicate the design to a singular building. I understand the storyline with the laundry next to the bank, but it takes away from the bank to have it there and it makes no sense from a construction perspective.

Got my BL order in for the 9 pieces I was missing for the Death Star 10188 that I picked up for $280 a couple months ago. This is the first time I have built a set without the kids, who are visiting their g-parents. So far I have just finished the minifigs and a little less than half of the Death Star. In other words, the pics of the new Death Star should be leaked on Friday this week as I finish up.

Decided to crack open the never retiring Pet Shop today. After building FB and then GE, I wanted to keep going in order. I will say that so far I'm enjoying the build. I think the techniques have improved with each one. I do like the little brownstone that I've built so far.

Don't think the CSRs know what they are talking about. Price mistake is one thing but intentionally up-charge a customer from what the sales order stated is illegal and fraud.

I missed the 'sale'. However, it is interesting and I think mostly good news that a UCS set is being frequently discounted by a major retailer. I was much happier with my $120 Fire Brigades, than my $150 Grand Emporiums. Needing a set to double from MSRP in order to make a decent profit is a sketchy business model.

5 x 41053 - Cinderella's dream carriage @$6/piece apparently target found a case, but no price on shelf as the UPC was completely removed from their system.

I had someone ask me for some pictures of my 10179 wall mounted and directed him to this thread, but he told me the pictures were broken/not found.. and so they are! Maybe the forum move broke/lost them or wherever i hosted them from (can't remember) had a problem. I've taken a couple new photos as i can't find the old ones. I have not touched the thing in almost a year now. It shows no signs of warping or anything. Still the best display piece i have imo. everyone we have over loves it. I can't edit my OP to re-include them; so i'll just add them here. If a mod wants to/can move them to the OP that would be great (not sure that's possible).
