  1. A while back I purchased some lego from one of the owners of Brick Bricks, a terminator salvation MOC, a few other bits and this along with a bulk lot of loose. After asking him I found out it was the beginning to a basement for the HH. Its been sat in the cupboard since, until a few day back when I fitted the HH to it a started covering the floors and adding details. Now don't get me wrong the majority of the work was not done by me, he is an amazing builder and has added secret passage ways sliding doors, prison cells, and there is a battery pack installed ready for a lighting kit. Any way just thought I'd share, get some tips and feedback. I've got a brick link order coming with various bits and some more olive bushes and lots of olive grasses, which I think will finish the front off nicely. I haven't started on the back, but was thinking of a graveyard, with a tree? I was also thinking of a large lamp post and the street. Much bigger and gothic style rather than the modular ones. Anyone have any ideas for this?
  2. Just saw this on Hoth bricks. Not sure if it's been posted yet (nor right place to post it) so admins feel free to move or delete. Figured I'd share! Looks cool!
  3. Received mine today and noticed that on the back of the packets there's a warning message 'Warning! Choking hazard. Small parts and small balls' I mean I know we like to have a joke at the Germans expense, but that's just plain rude!

  6. Very nice. I see it comes with a moderator included ......
  7. Love it. You could borrow the tree that comes with the Mystery Mobile for the graveyard. The Scooby sets have a lot of elements that would work well.
  8. All Angry Birds are 20% off at TRU. Use coupon code 979378 to get an additional $5 off.
  9. Wife and I took our 4 year old son to the beach to hang out for a few minutes.

  11. What'd you do, pour some Colt 45 on them?
  12. Phantom looks as necessary to this as it is to the Ghost.
  13. The boy loves this hot mess. I admit, i like it too.
  14. If you add Ryan Reynolds to your listing title, they sell faster than yellow guardian power rings.

more info via The Brick Fan LEGO has officially announced the next direct-to-consumer set with the next landmark-type set with the LEGO Creator Big Ben (10253). Some of you may already saw this leaked out yesterday ahead of the embargo which was very disappointing for those who decided to follow the rules. Anyways, Big Ben consists of 4,163 pieces and will retail for $249.99 which is a heck of a deal considering how many pieces it has compared to the price. Big Ben will become the 5th largest set that LEGO has produced and the second set this year to make that list with the Ghostbusters Firehouse (75827) being released earlier this year. It is on scale with the Tower Bridge (10214) so if you have that set, you can display it next to each other. LEGO VIPs will have early access to the set starting on June 15 and to the general public on July 1. Check out the press release and more high-quality images below. 10253 Big Ben Ages 16+. 4,163 pieces. US $249.99 – CA $299.99 – DE 219.99€ – UK £169.99 – DK 1999.00 DKK *Euro pricing varies by country. Please visit shop.LEGO.com for regional pricing. Build the world’s best-known clock tower! Get up close to Big Ben! The clock was first started on May 31st 1859, and Big Ben’s first chime rang from the 96-meter Elizabeth Tower on July 11th of the same year. This over 23” (60cm) high LEGO® interpretation of the iconic structure is a tribute to its engineering and architecture. It features a detailed facade with statues, shields and windows, and a clock tower with 4 adjustable clock dials and a removable roof allowing access to the belfry, plus buildable exterior elements including a sidewalk, lawn and a tree depicting the building’s location. This model makes a great display piece for the home or office. • Big Ben features a detailed section of the Westminster Palace and the adjoining Elizabeth Tower, 4 detailed clock dials with movable hour and minutes hands, and a sidewalk, tree and grass area depicting the building’s location. • Remove the top of the tower to access the Big Ben bell. • Put your LEGO® building skills to the test! • Special elements include 4 printed clock faces. • Rare elements include ski poles, flowers and corner plates in molded gold color, and tinted-translucent elements. • This set includes over 4,000 LEGO® pieces. • This set offers an age-appropriate building experience for ages 16+. • Big Ben measures over 23” (60cm) high, 17” (44cm) wide and 7” (20cm) deep.
  16. Purchased this awesome book earlier, and as a bonus it included this Micro-scale Space Cruiser which my son could build!
  17. I bought 16 packs on LEGO shop online and got 11 different players and 5 players twice... pretty good I'd say
  18. I wrote smooshed twice and it autocorrected. Could have been worse
  19. Waiting for the 90% to $9. Smart move.

Tsk Tsk Tsk the talk in this thread ... and then to think my purely educational pictures of mammary glands the other day got removed faster than you can say "well hello there"....

  23. Did s search online for target with the DCPI number 204-00-1379 and found all locations ( Tulsa,OK) had hundreds in stock. I had been to 2 previously and not one to be found. So after I saw 279 in stock at one store - I asked an associate who brought me a case. Not one Disney minifig on the floor. ( side note... The sweet 80 year old man checking me out kept arguing that the entire case was $3.99) ( I couldn't do it - when he finally added 59 more he said " hot diggity!")
  24. Who's on first, What's on second, I Don't Know's on third...
  25. Just offer free shipping. Calculate price by taking average high sale price + shipping price and take what you get. I use USPS East to mid-west and FedEx for West Coast. It averages out.
  26. Thanks for the tip. Added a couple more to my stash.
  27. Dr who 30% off at Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0154V7D9A/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1463844598&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=lego+dr+who&dpPl=1&dpID=51VBiyZ6ERL&ref=plSrch
  28. I really don't see Lego doing another run of these. If these were manufactured in November last year I can't see Lego putting in the effort more than six months later just to chase after a couple million Euro, they got bigger fish to fry just keeping up to the Star Wars mania and the expansion into Asia.
  29. More details on the 20% Shopko online deal.
  30. 20% off entire purchase. ShopKo.com. Online only. One day only. I haven't looked to see if there's anything worthwhile. I don't normally shop online at Shopko. I am an in-store kind of a guy.
  31. They are, we looks for tons of things, but you are trying to say that our numbers should match up to yours 100%. I have 7000 listings for the SSD, sometimes the "scam" numbers are so close it will be tough to know. In this last batch i fixed 13,000+ listings that should have been labeled as used instead of new. I am not 100% sure if I found every one. 452,000 listings is a lot to parse and know if you got it 100% correct.

Maybe you could go on a little adventure one day and turn up on their doorstep and remind them in a friendly way that they forgot to put the minifigures back into the box before sending it back. Honest mistake I'm sure
  33. Nice work looks great. Checkout the tree in 9463 and the grave in 850487. For the lamppost try looking at the modular MOC thread for ideas.
  34. Did find a $7 off $50 and $10 back in points on $50 at Sears just now, which stack. That, and 39 drawer Stack-ons for $13.99 on sale, makes ~$54 for 4 Stackons after tax plus $10 back. The only semi-solid deal.
  35. If it's Snow White, it's most likely Dopey that she'd be paired with. That's what happens at the parks. I'd say Tarzan would be paired with Jane not Clayton. No one (other than maybe you and me) remembers Clayton.
  36. Well, just during certain periods. We've had milder Winters of course. It's not uncommon to have 20F-30F for an entire month between January and February though.
  37. We went here a couple weeks ago for Mother's Day. It's about the best I can do, about an hour away. This is our backyard in the Winter.
  38. Came in today's mail, stuck to the front of their latest booklet.
  39. Was out driving a couple days ago, looking for any B&N "$2 leftovers"... came up with nothing. Stopped in a Target and picked up 2 complete sets of Series 8 Mixels. Sold one on Amazon for $99.99, and just sold the other on eBay for $83.99 (buyer in Italy). I figure each set cost me about $51 with tax (and gas money), so I ended up with maybe $35 in total profit, after fees. I was kind of sweatin' it... matching the low BIN on eBay... if I can find them, I'm sure more are coming to eBay soon, so I wanted to get rid of mine quick. Looking at the eBay listings, you'll see another Brickpicker who has done much better than I selling these.
  40. Been passing on half price Sinestros all week on this side of the pond as well. There’s still value in some superheroes out there, but not this one.
  41. New TRU 20% coupon. Good from 5/27 through 7/26. Two months worth of savings!
  42. that's probably because of the supply in US that kept the prices low. i believe it was offered as a free set with $99+ purchase @ TRU few years ago. there were lot of people who snagged 50+ exclusives and got 50 copies of this set for free
  43. I picked up 20 at Toys R Us yesterday just at random, no smooshing. Ended up with 13 unique characters and 7 duplicates.
  44. Finally Finished this bad boy after building it little bit at time over the last week and half. This is my first big build and I am really digging these larger SW sets.
  45. YMMV but I found a bunch of older Lego sets in a different aisle near seasonal beach stuff this weekend. This included x2 Brick Bounty, many of the other pirates, knowhere escapes, sentinels, bike shops, double decker couches. Everything was at retail but there was a lot and in great condition. With some serious, SYW magic, I walked out with a pristine Brick Bounty for $36.25.
