  2. My son has been working on a spaceship of his own creation for a couple days. I think he's done a great job. It even has a little escape pod. Looks kind of like the spaceships I made when I was a kid. First and second pics are yesterday, then he added a bunch more on today in the third pic.

  12. Got these 3 babies at my Toys R Us before the 20%off expires. Wanted to feel like a *baller* They didn't have Encounter on Jakku, sadly. I didn't want the clone tank.

  13. Built this a few weeks ago, just haven't shot it yet...It's got a cool elevator lift on the right hand side, the stairs move up and down, Hans in Carbonite can be maneuvered from facing out and in an upright position to lowered down in more of a flat position. I really like the one with Boba carrying Hans without any support. However, irl, there was support, but it got removed digitally I also stacked 3 images in PS to create a depth of field that showed all 3 figures in focus on the last frame. That was fun too.

  21. My six year old star wars nut just built this. Its his take on Cloud City. He's got the carbon freezing chamber, some controls, the window for Luke to crash through, and the yellow thing is the antenna fixture that Luke hangs from after his fall down the shaft. I'm going to have to leave my comfort zone of instructions and moc something with him one day...

  23. I passed on three 76025 Green Lantern vs Sinestro sets at Shopko. On clearance for $13.99 each. A $10 off $50 coupon would get them down to $10.66 each before tax. 47% off. I'm just not feeling Super Heroes anymore.

  26. Just posted this in "Odds and Ends"... Strakka Racing (the plucky British privateer team that runs in the World Endurance Championship) made a scale model of their Gibson LMP2 using the 42039 " The scale model adapted from a Lego Technics LMP Coupe kit with custom paint, custom vinyls and a revised cockpit (utilising pieces from Nick’s extensive private collection of Star Wars Lego " http://www.dailysportscar.com/2016/05/07/strakka-racing-reveal-gibson-00-015s.html

  33. yep. we are somewhere between the anger and bargaining phases of price appreciation where the buyer feels angry that they are going to have to pay so much for something they could have gotten just a few months ago for much less and they try to bargain for a discount in an underhanded manner. next comes the depression phase of things where sellers are depressed the profits haven't been what they expected and they liquidate their stock.

  34. This one has 3 rare parts in it needed if you want to Bricklink the UCS 4623002 Batman Batpod that was given away last year in a LEGO promotion. I think folks were selling 6 of those as a set for close to $75 last year.

  38. Did s search online for target with the DCPI number 204-00-1379 and found all locations ( Tulsa,OK) had hundreds in stock. I had been to 2 previously and not one to be found. So after I saw 279 in stock at one store - I asked an associate who brought me a case. Not one Disney minifig on the floor. ( side note... The sweet 80 year old man checking me out kept arguing that the entire case was $3.99) ( I couldn't do it - when he finally added 59 more he said " hot diggity!")

  41. more info via The Brick Fan LEGO has officially announced the next direct-to-consumer set with the next landmark-type set with the LEGO Creator Big Ben (10253). Some of you may already saw this leaked out yesterday ahead of the embargo which was very disappointing for those who decided to follow the rules. Anyways, Big Ben consists of 4,163 pieces and will retail for $249.99 which is a heck of a deal considering how many pieces it has compared to the price. Big Ben will become the 5th largest set that LEGO has produced and the second set this year to make that list with the Ghostbusters Firehouse (75827) being released earlier this year. It is on scale with the Tower Bridge (10214) so if you have that set, you can display it next to each other. LEGO VIPs will have early access to the set starting on June 15 and to the general public on July 1. Check out the press release and more high-quality images below. 10253 Big Ben Ages 16+. 4,163 pieces. US $249.99 – CA $299.99 – DE 219.99€ – UK £169.99 – DK 1999.00 DKK *Euro pricing varies by country. Please visit shop.LEGO.com for regional pricing. Build the world’s best-known clock tower! Get up close to Big Ben! The clock was first started on May 31st 1859, and Big Ben’s first chime rang from the 96-meter Elizabeth Tower on July 11th of the same year. This over 23” (60cm) high LEGO® interpretation of the iconic structure is a tribute to its engineering and architecture. It features a detailed facade with statues, shields and windows, and a clock tower with 4 adjustable clock dials and a removable roof allowing access to the belfry, plus buildable exterior elements including a sidewalk, lawn and a tree depicting the building’s location. This model makes a great display piece for the home or office. • Big Ben features a detailed section of the Westminster Palace and the adjoining Elizabeth Tower, 4 detailed clock dials with movable hour and minutes hands, and a sidewalk, tree and grass area depicting the building’s location. • Remove the top of the tower to access the Big Ben bell. • Put your LEGO® building skills to the test! • Special elements include 4 printed clock faces. • Rare elements include ski poles, flowers and corner plates in molded gold color, and tinted-translucent elements. • This set includes over 4,000 LEGO® pieces. • This set offers an age-appropriate building experience for ages 16+. • Big Ben measures over 23” (60cm) high, 17” (44cm) wide and 7” (20cm) deep.
