So the Circus that was Star Wars has finished(filming anyway) and the long process of returning everything to its natural condition, Bird sheet'n'all, is slowly underway. What have we learned? Well, apart from sneaking over a mountain with a telescopic lens might get you arrested, or worse, have your photos deleted (thank zod for IT). Confidentiality Agreements aren't worth a Folk in rural Ireland! Mark Hamill can't pour a pint of Guinness. And well, just see the pics below.....7 points

You should get her name and complain with corporate. None of her business what you buy or do with them tbh. Or complain to higher management.5 points

Was at Toys R Us today. They had 10 out on the shelf, but they were each in a clear, plastic security case, like they use for video games and such. They also had part of a case behind the register that they let me buy as well. I felt a little bad as no-joke, the cashier lady actually told me something to the tune of this; "Y'all need to quit buying all of these. Save some for the kids. Comin' in here buyin' them and selling them on Ebay, I know what you're doing. You too old to come here and buy them for yourself." It was awkward. Made me feel dirty.4 points

It will be. A few of my WM's had them around $59 during the winter wave if I remember correctly. I passed entirely. Now those same stores have all restocked and are at retail. I can see this set going for around $40-$45, maybe lower at a few locations. It just sits and sits in my stores at retail.3 points

I'm reflecting a little tonight. Since I'm selling some Arkham Asylum's already, does this mean I'm starting to crack? Is the fable becoming real?3 points

C'mon, it's not that bad. Sure, it looks nothing like the ship from the show and the colors are all wrong and it's basically a log with weird folding wings and....Who am I kidding, it sucks. Has cool mini figs though.3 points

Similar to me. I set out to double my money but if something gets there really soon I hold (greed) and if it seems it won´t, I try to cut losses. This means occasionally selling too late but rarely too soon as few sets these days are sleepers. It also depends on what you do with the profits. if reinvesting is the aim then the time of year you sell and reinvest also has an influence in order not to get stuck with sets that never retire, but that´s when to buy, which is a whole different thread!2 points

So with the AoH set, the recently announced 75158 Frigate and this lot which includes another X Wing, which is only different by its colour. I'd say overall that the 2016 has not been a vintage year for Star Wars Lego.2 points

We needed a bridge for a section in our little city...so we built this bridge. It is basically a modified version of #4852 (Spiderman The Final Showdown), with road baseplates from #6600 (Highway Construction). It is the right length and height that we needed...Did not turn out too bad. Just not sure if I am completely satisfied with it though...2 points

That's true, but it's basically two OT sets combined. The same way that the best looking Force Awaken sets are the Falcon, X-Wing and Tie-Fighter and the new ships are pretty dull.1 point

I spoke to them this morning, as one of my orders got cancelled. CS rep said he would pass it on to the orders team, however now that the product had sold out he was unsure that they could do anything thing. He said that they might be getting some in a few weeks. Clear as mud as per usual1 point

Due to a collar bone fracture (bike crash a week ago) I have had some time to watch movies. I watched The Dark Knight and once again I felt this movie is special. Fantastic actors, Heath was amazing, and when the Tumbler kicked in my smile became even bigger. Despite the set is massively hoarded I feel blessed with my 5 sets. Long term wait. And till that time, I will definitely watch The Dark Knight again; "let's put a smile on that face" . As surgery will take place next Thursday I have some Marvel movies scheduled to watch during the recovery period. That might be the stairway to my first S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier.1 point

21017 Imperial Hotel "Fun build" is not usually associated with the architecture line but the Imperial Hotel build was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and not too repetitive. I would have liked more architect information in the manual because I do not know as much about this set as I do for the other architecture sets.1 point

Anyone else less enthusiastic about TFA now that you've seen it and it's been a couple of months? The more I reflect on the movie, the more I come to the realization that it doesn't compare to the original trilogy. It's not even close. Maybe I'm just getting old and my expectations are too high for new Star Wars films. I was certainly more impressionable as a child when the OT was released and toys flooded the market. I've had plenty of free Friday and Saturday nights to sneak away to see it again and I'm just not that enthusiastic about going for a 3rd time. That sounds crazy since we've waited over a decade for this movie. There's just something stale and unoriginal about the whole plot and presentation. I know we've beaten that to the ground, but as a die-hard Star Wars fan I'm wondering if my expectations are just too high? When I left the theater, I gave it a 8.5/10. I'm down to about a 7 now The OT are 10,9,10 for me (in that order). This felt like another James Bond movie. Same script, same actors, same gadgets. Entertaining, but very safe. Nothing memorable other than a few battle scenes and a few unexpected lines of humor that I did enjoy. Kylo Ren was a huge let down. Most great movies have a nasty, evil villain. Ren had that potential until he took his mask off. That was just too soon for me. Emo Kylo Ren, indeed. As for the box office records and fan mania, TFA reminds me of Frozen. Some good music, a few interesting characters, and a familiar plot line. But the villain was an overall disappointment and the movie wasn't original. Disney fans love Frozen because they craved something with the Disney brand and style. Other than Pixar, there was a huge Disney drought since Lion King (Scar is one of the best villains of all time). Disney finally gave them something better than average and they ate it up. I thought it was average and supported by a great marketing campaign. I'm starting to feel the same about TFA. Why am I ranting and comparing TFA to Bond and Frozen? I don't know. Maybe this belongs in the Tumbler thread.1 point
