  1. So, I got home from work yesterday and my son had completed the Tie Fighter for me. Got my lights out last night and put it in front of the camera.
  2. 75917 - Jurassic World: Raptor Rampage has dropped to $43.99 at KMart.com. If you use the $10 off $75 mobile coupon found from the link in the DD main post, you can get them down to $38.99 each when buying 2, plus whatever other magic you can conjure up.
  3. Yes but when is gold retiring? I mean its been out for a long time now.
  4. It only has 14 posts but it does have a thread...
  5. I can police myself, but I'll use all CAPS next time out of spite.
  6. Gold has it's own version of Nexo Knights or Chima.
  7. Good choice. Really enjoyed the build although I haven't successfully completed the game yet. The box and build were bigger than I expected. Well worth the money, I hope LEGO Shop at Home raises the limit on this set once it's been out for a while as it's certainly a set I'd want to give as a gift.
  8. Hey, I'm very new here (literally my first post) so I don't know how this forum likes Costco Canada deals, but I thought I'd post a few since I hadn't seen them before: 42043 - Mercedes Benz Arocs 3245 - $199.99 CAD ($269.99 CAD at lego.ca) - 26% discount 60052 - Lego City Cargo Train - $178.99 CAD ($229.99 CAD at lego.ca) - 22% discount 75106 - Imperial Assault Carrier - $124.99 CAD ($149.99 CAD at lego.ca) - 17% discount In total they carry 17 sets from various themes, all at a discount to lego store prices, although it appears that discounts are better on larger sets (with the exception of 31313 which is being sold at the same price as lego shop).

  10. How 'bout these dots...?

That wasn't random, it was well thought out.
  12. You really put a smile on my face

    Ugh, received mine yesterday.
  14. Thank you. Practices like this are frowned upon
  15. Generate your shipment for the 10697s as case-packed items, 2 per case, so you can use the original shipping boxes. They don't waste any space and the UPS rates you'll be getting are fantastic to the point of being unreal, if you're used to doing fulfillment yourself. Send your other, non-case-packed stuff in another shipment.
  16. I disagree. I think they wanna stop paying the designer...

Website flyout menus. So many sites have them and I'm always clicking something as they're popping up and now directing me to something else...
  19. Was about to direct your what did I buy question to here a buyer of another set had asked me about it, I was heading to a store where I knew they still had a couple so chanced my arm on a quick flip. Does that make me a QFLL, I feel so unclean now On a related note I love The Lego Movie, I picked up Benny's Spaceships at €50, Sea Cows at €150 and Double Decker Couches at €11.50. It's the theme that keeps on giving (for me)
  20. completely agree. 2 important points here. lots of people follow the horde, when its best to avoid. the other part is equally important yet most can't help themselves and that is keeping quiet!!
  21. Don't worry, you're cool. We just need to remind the entire community every once in a while.
  22. Already edited my post please don't remove.
  23. FYI, If a deal involves going to a portal and a click to bring you to another retailer's website, then it is from a competing affiliate program, ie. BP does not get the affiliate $. Posts will be removed
  24. Sounds like a confirmation of an earlier statement I made somewhere here on this forum. Savvy buyers who price-check and shop around typically buy on Ebay, impulse buyers go to Amazon.
  25. Many believe that once it's mentioned here, it's time to head in another direction.
  26. Landed 24 nexo cycles and a dirty look from a TRU cashier.. I am thinking to myself " hey I left like 3 of them on the hooks for little Timmy". If she only knew I was buying them with a heavily discounted GC, she would have felt better about the whole thing.
  27. Grabbed two sets from kmart Chima Ragoons rock flinger $28.00 -40% off clearance items --> $16.40 (Was: $29.99) Chima legend beast (Gorilla) $9.00 -40% off clearance items --> $5.40 (Was: $9.99) Used $11.00 in surprise SYW points Total: $12 and some change, retail $39.99. Probably going to lose around $11.00 at this buy in sadly....

    In for 50. Thanks
  29. Just bought a Laval & Benny for $3.74 each w/ Cartwheel. Didn't try Eris and they didn't have Unikitty, but you already confirmed that one.
  30. Return fraud posts have been hidden.
  31. Lego AtAt 75054 $50 Local hobby store
  32. Updated the first page of this thread with the coupon.
  33. I am not sure if it has been discussed - I know the Target Cartwheel offer for Dimensions Movie/Chima Fun Packs was talked about - it lists the Emmett pack and the one Chima pack, but it definitely works on the Unikitty pack and the other Chima pack as well. it does NOT work on Bad Cop, and I haven't tried it on Benny. As other people have mentioned, I don't think even at this price these are investment purchases, but for self/gifts/fun - solid price.
  34. 1. Took the plunge and bough two Lego Certified Professional Tyne Bridge Sets for 665 GBP shipped to the states. 2. 9498 Saesee Tin's Jedi Starfighter NISB for personal collection for $20 off the bay with some extra bucks. 3. Also picked up a used display set 9474 Battle of Helm's deep + 9471 Urak-Hai Army combo $90 off the bay with some extra bucks. ******** 4 Additionally, I picked up a Phil and Ted's Smart Stroller on clearance and a 4Moms Breeze Playard on Amazon Warehouse Deals. Wifey and I are expecting again after an almost 9 year break. Just found out last week we are having a little girl.
  35. It is always going to be cheaper to ship everything in one box. Their UPS rates are cheap but still expensive if you are sending in lots of small boxes rather than one large box. A 24x box to 50 lbs should cost around $18 to ship anywhere in the country and could be quite a bit cheaper if the warehouse is in your state or close by (around $9). Just keep them in their lego cases and put inside the bigger box if your goal is to save on cost. You can adjust by 6 units for each item as well so play around with the numbers, brand neutral settings, and time of day / month to get a close warehouse. When you get something you want lock it in. There is no time limit to ship, but all boxes in each shipment must be sent at the same time. I plan my year ahead and always pull Washington state or California until Sep and then that changes to Virginia / Florida so I lock everything in well before Sep for the christmas season.
  36. Did something for the first time ever. Bought a Chima set. On clearance at Walmart for $19 71044 LEGO Legends of Chima Laval’s Fire Lion I feel so ashamed of myself. Also picking up 2 Ghosts from local B&N after membership 10% off
  37. Still waiting for the grammar police to show up for exciter's post
  38. What is gold "alloy"? I mean Legos have to at least be better than Gold Alloy.
  39. Don't apply American performance predictions to the European market.
  40. eBay will soon start selling their own branded shipping boxes. Interested to see how they stack up against stores like Uline and Staples. eBay to Launch New Shipping Supplies Store
  41. Yup, I was right...bulk Thats some nice $$$, that's putting smile on your face too I'm sure, when you get the patriot, are you disappointed because it's the cheaper (per eBay sold) one? Lol no dislike button but I found this or
  42. When I build my Fairgrounds MOC, these will be great "walk around" characters to inhabit the grounds.
  43. My first, unplanned, foray into vehicle/minifig part-outs: After buying a 75102 Poe's X-Wing from Amazon for $76 shipped, found a better offer a week later from KMart for $63 shipped. Contemplated returning the one from Amazon, but (cheap as I am) didn't want to pay the $7 return shipping. So I split out the 4 minifigs and put them on BrickLink & BrickOwl, and listed the X-Wing as no-box, no-minifigs on EBay during the 40% off sellers' fees promo. Sold all of them within 2 weeks, making $90 after shipping and fees. And since I claimed tax back from Amazon making the original purchase $71, I basically got a 75102 X-Wing for $44 all in. Can still lower that a bit more if I decide to list the box .....
  44. I am a sucker for DC Comics Super Heroes, and I enjoyed the movie. It was well acted, the fight scenes were excellent (and over-the-top), and there wasn't a moment during the movie that I wasn't totally engaged. Wonder Woman had a great cameo, and during the movie the audience actually applauded when she showed up. In reading some of the critics, many were mixed on Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, but I thought he was great - believable bad guy that manipulates both Super Heroes. Let's face it - this movie had a LOT of goals to accomplish: introduction of the Justice League, walking the fine line of pathos between having two heroic characters fight each other, bringing Wonder Woman into the storyline, tying into the Man of Steel plot line, giving back story to a darker Batman, and continuing to explore Superman's internal struggle to understand how he fits with the human race. All this while trying to maintain a coherent plot line was a gargantuan task, but I think Snyder pulled it off. Generally, if you enjoyed the Man of Steel I think you'll really enjoy this movie. I know I did, and will be looking to see it again in the theaters soon.
  45. They are slowly fading away in Australia, Target has them on clearance for $79 AUD (RRP/MSRP: $140). Next week Target is having a BOG50% Sale on all toys including clearance. I have thrown a couple on lay-by to get them matched next week - $120AUD for 2 isn't too shabby
  46. I read that someone heard that a Lego employee said it was done...
  47. I created a new thread for 75106 since I have a feeling we are going to talk more about this set. Plus the video is too good to be buried in the other thread
