We're back in business! For two weeks at least. Came attached to a TRU Easter mailer I got today.

Finished this one last night with my 5 and 7 year old. Found it in a beat up box for $30, so it was a no-brainer build. It must have been a success, because afterwards my daughter said: "I think I like the Star Wars Legos better than the Friends ones...or at least as much as the Friends ones." Score.

Sold a 42009 MK II, open / damaged box on Amazon (FBM... listed as collectible / like new) for $319 shipped. (Bought 2 weeks ago for $110 TRU rewards + $85 cash... post fees and shipping, putting $260 back in my pocket).

I no comprende mostly this... I never stand in line, just drop and go... Only remember 1 package not scanned til destination in last 3 years, and only 1 buyer ever anxious about delays in origin scan. I simply replied with detailed assurance, asked for patience, and all was fine. USPS has at least 99 problems but for me, scanning ain't one. UPS drives over my packages and FedEx leaves them for neighbors to steal, on the other hand.

They have bags large enough to ship these too.

I think folks were complaining about B&N, struggling franchise, why are they alienating customers with coupon restrictions (LEGO buyers)?, etc.

I only picked up 5 Ghost/phantom/Ezra’s bike combo’s, but as they’re already selling for 2.5 times what I paid. Sad I didn’t pick up more.

Yes, that was me. October of 2014. I'll have to do some digging to find my original post with the results. I think I posted it in the Ban thread as well at one point. To summarize, I ordered one exclusive every day for the entire month of October on one account. I never ordered the same set two days in a row, and waited for my previous order to go "in warehouse" before placing the next one. No issues whatsoever. Each order also came with a promo item, which at the time was the Christmas Elves' Toy Workshop, so I received 30 of those. My last order on the 31st didn't get one because they ran out. I am still using the same account and so far this period have ordered an Ewok Village, Ferris Wheel, TIE Fighter, 2 Ecto-1s, and a Slave 1. It's been more than one order per day, but I place one around 2am when I get up for work and the next around 4pm when I get home. The previous order is in warehouse by the time I place the next order. No issues yet, and everything has been shipped so far.

it sounds more like one of the high paid silicon valley tech worker or bankers. have you sold single set so far? if not better get your feet wet on the water. keep my handle for your reference so 3 years down the road when you decide to liquidate you might need it.

Just on a general statement, it's almost always better to wait as long as you can before EOL before hoarding any set. It's money that's otherwise locked in and tied up for no future benefit until that EoL date comes around. On a set like this, that could be 2 years or more. Plenty of other sets from plenty of other themes that will retire and appreciate nicely in that time frame. If you're into the architecture sets, I'd be looking at Eiffel, Trevi, White House, Lincoln, and Big Ben, they'll be retiring before the others currently available.
