  1. And built a few Modulars to finish my city block. I need to build a few more and will build my third green grocer next, but this time mirrorred. Should be an interesting build.

  3. Because there is nothing more Iconic (representing Easter), than a happy guy in a chicken suit, leaving an outhouse.

  4. To be honest, If you invested heavily in the Chicken Suit Guy - it was kinda like putting all your eggs in one basket.

  7. Hi guys! I am new to this forum although I am already being member of other LEGO forums (Eurobricks, Brickset, Rebrick...). People may know my "stuff" tho: for example, in case you are using BlueRender for your LDD models' renders then I am the author of its MOD adding all those realistic stuff to it (brick seams, slope grains, real glass, logo-on-studs, color shadows from trans parts, proper materials, lights advanced options and much more) + I am author/developer of somewhat already a bit known LEGO Space pseudo subtheme called Techtroners (if you've never heard about it you can check it on my official webpage: http://lego.queryen.com). Also I am owner of probably the biggest personal LEGO Space sets collection in Slovak and Czech republic - I already own basically all LEGO Space sets TLG ever built (most of them with their original boxes), all in pristine condition as if they were produced just yesterday...only like 10 sets missing (but I am working on it...LOL). Besides I am also AFOL and big LEGO Space enthusiast MOC-er myself, so if it is allowed I would like to present some of my MOCs just as an example of my latest work on this field, so here they are + all these MOCs are also LEGO Ideas projects as well...

  8. Exactly what I was going for! Car free pedestrian walkway I will add some 200 minifigures to this to give it a 'busy' street feel like the 'Kalverstraat' in Amsterdam

  13. KMart.com has the 60050 - City: Train Station on sale for $51.99. It's not marked Hot Buy, so you can apply a $5 off $50 and maybe another coupon on top. I was able to stack the $5 off, $15 back on $40, used points down to $40, and then applied a discount gift card.

  14. Started filling in the green plates and placing all the tress and such over the weekend. Still missing a lot of large leaf/tree pieces so what you see here is not the finished paddock interior. Also finally got the Goat figure and he will go where the horse currently is (along with a couple fence pieces and a chain around him). Instead of getting more expensive palm trees, i decided to go with brown 1x1 cylinder pieces and just pile them on top of each other with various leaves put on throughout. However piling these too high makes them unstable, so i just slid in some minifig wands/lightsaber blade pieces to strengthen it. Originally i was just going to do a little river/pond on the left side, but the paddock interior felt a bit boring with just trees. So i had these light trans blue 2x2 round Chima pieces from the PAB wall that looked great to make a waterfall. And then if i did a waterfall i would obviously need some sort of rock face. And luckily i had a generous amount of parts on hand to make a pretty decent looking build. Not entirely happy with it yet, but it will do for now. I also played around with somehow lighting up the waterfall from behind with some small brick LED's i have, but not sure i really liked the look. I'll also probably add the little Compy from "Gallimimus" trap to the inside of the cage (not movie accurate, but book accurate, someones gotta eat up all that dino poop :3) and maybe the Pterodactyl flying above the waterfall. Should have the rest of the pieces to finish up this week. Once the fences are placed and I've got the monorail tracks on the road.. it will all really come together and look awesome. This is the first time i actually picked the thing up, and it is just as sturdy as i planned which is great.

  18. This is one of the saddest SW sets I've seen in a while. A perfect example of why LEGO SW should stay away from locations and stick to vehicles. Entirely uninspired build utilizing small elements merely to jack the piece count in an attempt to justify the price people pay for the minifigures.

  20. Today I managed to finish building the Grand Emporium. For the photo I placed it between 10246 and 41101 which were built in the past two weeks. Some people complain about the built being repetitious but I didn't mind that. What I did find noticeable when I opened the bags was the absence of a brick seperatator as Its regular inclusion in bigger sets is something one gets accustomed to with time. I still have a second GE to realize an extension of this modular building at some point. The parts of two GEs might not be enough though.

  22. I can already hear the complains for this boxart: "How dare LEGO depicts the girl cooking and the boy wearing a suit? What is this, the 1916?"

  23. If you look over LEGO's terms for past promotions, they specifically call out one promo item per household. However, most people do not seem to have a problem placing an order, and then placing other orders, and getting multiple promos. That could always change, and is probably subject to availability and abuse.

  28. Thank you, below is some more for you then... Thank you very much! BTW besides my main Techtroners subtheme I also made 2 others: Spacastlon (Space & Castle hybrid - basically my idea/interpretation how could NEXO Knights look before there were any known pictures) and C.S.Neo (actually just neo Classic Space with green minifigs in regards of the Exosuite LEGO Ideas set so it could be taken as kind of continuation of that line), so here are 2 MOCs of both subthemes mentioned (hoping you will like it too): SPACASTLON C.S.NEO

  40. To be honest I think Lego/Disney are leaving the prequels/clone wars in the past and trying to move forward with their own vision of Star Wars. Which is a shame since that era has the greatest diversity of vehicles/ locations versus TFA which was rather bland and there was not a single vehicle I could say I would want in UCS form from. However since I am certain we will never see a UCS version of the Venator I built my own off of Anio's design.

  44. All done . Need a cigarette and I don't even smoke. build was the most challenging that I have encountered . Parts 1 & 2 get things going with things getting really interesting in parts 3 ( gear box/back ) and definitely 4 (arm) and 5 (front) . Part 6 is a breeze and a good cool down . It does get frustrating at some points as is the case with most advanced Technic sets . There always seems to be the inevitable mess up where a gear doesn't click into place or something is not aligned correctly. Atleast for me anyways. The end product is amazing as display piece and everything works as advertised. Front of the truck is sure to start a conversation or two. Highlight being watching the arm come to life and maneuvering it . Drawbacks : -I would have gladly paid a little extra to have a small engine added - power function doesn't include the tires . 9/10
