A friend of mine used to go around introducing his wife as "this is my first wife, Donna." A couple of years later, they got divorced. His second wife forbade him from introducing her that way.8 points

I agree that Jang doesn't have the most pleasant voice to listen to, but his reviews of Lego sets are thorough and informative. Not shying away from giving criticism where criticism is due. I like that he touches all the details of the sets he reviews and I usually find myself agreeing with his opinions. His voice is something he can't do much about it, but his reviews are worth it. So I do listen to them whenever he reviews a set I'm interested in, and I have subscribed to his YouTube channel as well.5 points

When you consider how much creative energy the UCS Assault on Hoth probably took, I'm not surprised.4 points

Hopefully slimer follows suit. For those that pre-ordered long ago during the $5 off promo, you should see an automatic adjustment and end up paying $2.50. Bottom line: don't cancel your old pre-order to reorder.4 points

Can't help. I've got to clean up DD. In all seriousness, what you are describing is stock manipulation and it's something we frown upon heavily here at Brickpicker. If you'd like to discuss the ethics of buying like that, we have an ethics thread to discuss these things. Will link to it later.4 points

Good deal on Lego Dimensions and Microsoft store. Just like Lego shop they have their normal packs on for 7.49 (50% off) but they also have the team packs and level packs on for $10 off which make them $14.99 / $19.99. The crazy deal is the DC team pack for $7.49 which is $17.50 off! Go go go as it keeps going out of stock, I was able to order a bunch: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msca/en_CA/pdp/LEGO-Dimensions-DC-Comics-Team-Pack/productID.333109500 2 minifigs and 2 mini builds seems like a very easy flip for profit especially with Suicide Squad movie coming out soon. Oh and don't forget to go through ******** for another 5% cash back3 points

so we got the engagement (40120), now we have the wedding, and all that's left is either the divorce or the funeral set.3 points

I think this is the way to go if you want to do this correctly. Buy one to keep, and the 2nd one to add onto the first to make a larger Wayne Manor. Sell of the figures and vehicles and you should get a fair amount of your money back.3 points

He's at least clean in his videos and kids enjoy them. I'm thrown off too, but my son talks about him like he's our neighbor he just talked to about the latest LEGO set.3 points

I hate it when my kids' friends are coming over in the morning AND I can't fall asleep until I have safely hidden all of my LEGO. The thought of grubby little hands pocketing my precious pieces is far more than I can bear.3 points

3185 Summer Riding Camp is another good example. Granted, it was a TRU exclusive which made it harder to acquire when it was available, but it has performed well since retirement. There are several other Friends sets that have horses, stables, and the like which cost much less than what the Riding Camp is going for but parents still fork over the big bucks for it. I have downsized my Friends investments, but the Mall at $50 is a no brainer. Wish I could find some.2 points

You're welcome. I was really tempted to buy them just to have extra sets around but I decided to share because I already have all 4 on display. Enjoy the builds!2 points

Bingo - I will be displaying this alongside the other two batcaves for a big ol' batcave sandwich...2 points

He talks too much for me.. his reviews are too long, but yeah my kids loved his Bionicle reviews and I know he speaks respectfully unlike many other videos Youtube recommends when a video is over.2 points

Galeria-Kaufhof time again. -13% on all Lego Star Wars on Sunday 21.02. Discount will be applied during checkout process. All Paybackusers should have a 10x Payback Coupon in their account, if not the Code "Februar2016" should also work and get you 10x PaybackPoints. The 10% PaybackCoupon didn't work the last weeks as well as the Newsletter Coupon. Example: Kylo Ren's Shuttle 75104 99,99E - 13% = 86,99E - (10x PaybackPoints which is 8,69E = 78,30E)2 points

Pretty sweet deal here for someone looking to trade Lego for......some rabbit. http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/bar/5446408691.html2 points

I was one of the ones commenting on declined sales.... but that was a week ago. I'm back on track to hit my average (for the last 3 months anyway) of 1k in sales. The extra 29th day in Feb this year may help that average too. I'm selling mostly used sets at the moment, and I find the biggest ticket is to just get more SKUs on the shelf. The more listings you have, the more buyers you'll pull in from different search results, and in turn they might explore your other listings. I simply listed more stuff, generated interest on it and some of the existing listings that have been around for a while.2 points

I just wanted to thank Alpine and all the other mods for making this an amazing forum. Your work is not unnoticed, and it IS appreciated. Also to the newbs, its' amazing how many questions you might have already exist as a forum topic or a great blog. Be sure to SEARCH FIRST, then ask your questions. You'll be amazed and get much better answers in existing topics when the questions were first asked then if someone has to remember the points and counterpoints and summarize them. Thanks to everyone for making this a great place.2 points
