I'm excited to share the 6 "nanoscale" architecture models which I submitted in the Advent calendar contest at Brickset. 6 "nanoscale" LEGO Architecture models based on designs in The LEGO Architect book.Creating what I call "Nanoscale" LEGO models which meet the constraints of the advent calendar contest is a really interesting challenge. Hanging is by far the best way to display it. It has a hollow core, so we used a small piece of wood painted black with an eye bolt and picture hanging wire. That way its supported from the bottom. Merry Christmas.

My Chima-loving 9yr old son got the Phoenix Fire Temple, and his twin sister received the Grand Hotel ... Both have been quiet for the last 5 hours, occasionally shouting "I'm on book/bag X" to compare progress Daddy got a 250 page book by two first-time authors, not sure if you guys ever heard of it: something about collecting LEGO sets for investment purposes or something ... Will let you all know if it is any good once I finish it ;-)

Last microfighter millennium falcon/xwing combo on eBay for $45

My first larger experience with Mega Bloks this morning. Put together the Halo UNSC Warthog. I actually had to use a child's project hammer to get the pegs to fully insert into some of the parts. It's not LEGO, for sure. I'm putting together the Scorpion later and we also have the Police Pelican, which I'm dreading. Good and sturdy once together, but definitely an inferior product with swirling colors in the pieces and some are too flexible. My daughter received a bunch of American Girl, Barbie Dreamhouse, and new Epic LeapPad. My son got his first laptop, LEGO Dimensions, an Interactive R2-D2 and we're going to share an XBox One. I'll be busy on vacation putting all this stuff together.

My two kids got Dimensions. My son got a couple of trains. He's rolling the retired 7939 cargo train (yellow engine) used set, and the new 60052 (red engine). Between the two sets, and some extra track, we are setting up a pretty boss layout. Now I need to decide if I want to open up my sealed Maersk train to play along.

Luckily, you can glue Mega Bloks...

Build my Tydirium Shuttle and moc-ed a stand for it! I like the wings to be opened in fly-modus. Even if you don't know it it looks like the UCS 10212 but much cheaper [emoji4]. Got mine from german Galeria-Kaufhof for 69€! Looks goob besides to slave I.

I spent the whole day building this set and I have to say I'm extremely impressed. The "displayability"; mainly the expanding wing design/engines are fantastic. After building it I have more faith in this set. It was much more enjoyable to build than the Tumbler and newer ISD. If the Red Five hasn't retired it may take a while to appreciate but I do like the set regardless. May just end up with a fleet of x-wings

It's on her. If she wants her item she can have the person whose address she had it sent to forward it to her. You need to contact eBay so they know what's up, but you should be covered. I had had a similar problem when I moved twice in three months where items brick link kept resetting to my old address and I had items going all over the place. I in no way considered the sellers responsible for a problem that was in essence caused by me.

so you're just happy the movie title had the words "Star" and "Wars" in it, and whatever they put on screen is good? The Star Wars Holiday Special proved that the SW brand name is not enough lol

Who f****** cares? It's a new Star Wars movie. I am always baffled by people who let stupid little plot contrivances like some of those above get in the way of their enjoying a movie like TFA. BTW...an AT-AT would serve the same purpose on a desert planet that it would serve on any other planet...to blow s*** up. They don't call it an "ALL TERRAIN armored transport" for nothing. Han captured the Falcon...that was pretty clear from the movie. There wasn't a giant squid aboard the Falcon, the rathtars (sp?) were aboard the freighter that captured the Falcon. The castle was also a cantina because Maz has run that watering hole for hundreds of years. Luke's lightsaber was in the basement of the cantina because Maz has come into its possession some time before then. etc. etc. But, at the end of the day, who f****** cares? It's a new Star Wars movie. If those sorts of things prevented you from enjoying the movie, I feel very sorry for you.

And not just shot - shot by the freaking Bow Caster. We saw what sort of damage it did a few other times. Ren isn't a "fully formed" villain, from the perspective that he isn't a full-fledged villain yet. When we see Darth Vader in ANH, he's had 15 years to become who he is. Ren is still learning. Even Snoke says that Ren still has training to complete. My point is that Ren isn't going to be a bad ass Jedi every single time we see him. He's going to be fallible. By that point in the movie, he's got quite a lot of things going on.

I was thinking the casting agency already posted a list of returning actors and it includes Harrison ? Though if he does I am actually quite surprised I saw that casting sheet, but I think that was provided to the casting agency prior to Episode 7 opening. Would be a huge spoiler if he wasn't including on the Episode 8 sheet prior to E7 coming out. As far as FO recruitment. Well, we know they took children and raised them to be Stormies from the start. But think about where they are....they've been driven to the Unknown Regions by, what they feel, is an illegitimate government bent on their destruction and the destruction of their way of live. Easy propaganda in the Unknown Regions to get people to believe that they were on the losing side of a righteous cause and need help to regain what is rightfully theirs.

If anyone is dropping an XBone under their tree this year, you may want to open it and get it updated prior to your kids opening it. Updating the one we got and the first update is ~1.2 GB. Not sure if there are any other updates, but I decided I didn't want to be doing this on Christmas morning along with everyone else that got a new Xbox.

Already liked this in the other post but I'll like it again. This is an excellent and amusing display. The story of The Grinch would be so much better if it had some ATATs and Darth Vader in it, right? Well done!

I thought as you did, mostly. Until I saw it again and I was just able to absorb it. It was strange for me watching a Star Wars movie that I basically didn't have memorized. On second viewing I really found myself gripped by the performances and there are really some classic lines. I have talked to quite a few people whose opinion of the movie greatly increased on second and third viewings.

I believe that this movie was meticulously planned. Maybe not as a complete story, definitely not as an original story. It was designed and planned to bring people back into the fold. For those disenchanted with the series due to the prequels and 1000 novels and comics that muddy things up, it was a palate cleanser. It reset people back to the Star Wars that they remember. The people who wanted new and different were the ones most disappointed, while those who just wanted to get back to the classic Star Wars at any costs and those who just wanted to be entertained loved it. For me, I am in another camp, I find things to like in all of the Star Wars stuff, so this movie made me happy. I recognize that people have legitimate concerns and gripes about this film, but some of the haters are just gonna hate. There was nothing more or less intrinsically wrong with this film than most things that we get in cinemas nowadays. It made my wife and kids excited to watch and they all want to go again. I'd say it did its job well. It brought back fans, it created new fans and it amused fans that were always there. Is it going to have enduring appeal? Possibly, but more because of its position amongst the rest of the series than on its own merits.

I sold through half my stock of the 6860 Batcave for $120-125 each FBA. I was expecting more from this set, but LEGO kept it around longer than expected and the Target blowout last year didn't help any. Still not bad for an average $50 buy-in price.

Got my DS from Amazon today, perfect condition. And my LEGO Shop at Home DS just shipped today. No more Ds's for me, I'm good with the 2.
