  1. I've said this many times, and others have said it, re-makes were bound to eventually happen. As far as the rumors of the Snowspeeder, seriously it's been over 10 years. This isn't the stock market, it's a toy. If they can remake smaller sets over and over again, why can't they re-make UCS sets??? As far as the MF, bring it on. Sure I bricklinked mine for a crap ton of money, but I would still go out and spend another $500 for a new UCS MF. Collectors are going to want it regardless. For those crying about re-makes so much, I have no sympathy for you. If you've been holding onto sets for this long because you keep wanting to hope for more money, then it's bound to bite you in the ass. It's the nature of the game. With as hyped as the movie has been, and as great as it is, re-making a UCS MF is probably without a doubt going to be a home run for Lego. You do have to think, that as much press time as 10179 gets, you have to imagine there are a lot of people out there who don't necessarily have $4000+ to spend on 10179, but could possibly afford a $500 TFA MF with the new antenna and be perfectly happy with that. Also, Lego wasn't near the popularity force that it was 10+ years ago. Lego is beyond mainstream now. It's not just a kids toy. And as Ed said, there will be people that are still willing to shell out insane cash at the original 10179 no matter what.
  2. All used and pretty mint for $500. The guy is a Lego collector and quite meticulous. The set boxes he had were all flattened and mint. All built except the AT-AT. 10228 Haunted House - keeper - mint box and instructions 10178 Motorized AT-AT - keeper - mint box and instructions 10230 Mini Modulars - keeper - mint box and instructions 10213 Shuttle Adventure - not sure yet if reselling - mint box and instructions 10241 Maersk Line Triple-E - not sure yet if reselling - mint box and instructions 79108 Stagecoach Escape - will sell - no box 8386 Ferrari F1 Racer - will sell - no instructions or box 6933 Spectral Starguider - will sell - no box instructions are good 6975 Solar Snooper - will sell - no box - instructions are good 6878 Sub Orbital Guardian - will sell - no box or instructions 17 random series minifigures- will sell I think that is it but I feel like I'm missing something.
  3. Going all out and doing a back like that is a poor decision. I thought it might be because a building connects there and there is no real back, but... https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@40.7194173,-74.0068717,3a,75y,74.22h,103.74t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sqKA4ICLYossy48mJudJZug!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1
  4. Honestly neither is anyone else. Maybe time for another username. Hear third times the charm...
  5. He never finds any clearance of note, it always disappears the night before it's supposed to be marked down. Must be clearance eating elves or something, they got tired of fixing shoes or collecting underpants so they started reselling Lego.
  6. Built the Temple of Airjitsu and Sensei Wu's Dragon. First, ToA is an incredible set. I can't believe it doesn't get more pub for the incredible display it is. It's truly a breathtaking set, and one that deserves a place among the best of the best. Sensei Wu's Dragon is also a great build. I have built almost all of the Ninjago Dragons, and this one is great. The brick built head really shines, and the minifigures are excellent. Plus, it comes with a husky - an added bonus for an already great set! Both are great sets and highly recommended.
  7. The music during the ROTS scene about the tragedy of Plagius the Wise is the same as what's playing during Snoke's TFA screen time.
  8. To be fair, I don't believe there were pictures of what any of the sets would be when that vote took place. The description might have sounded good, but if they make a crappy version of that description, that isn't the voters' fault. Regardless, I didn't vote for a Home One. I think a Jedi Council type set was one of the options and that got my vote.
  9. It really depends on the new UCS Falcon. If the new version fails to live up to the old version, then it's up, up and away. If it is better than the 10179...well, everyone had their chance to sell.
  10. Gotcha. Yeah, Luke was apparently known much more as the rebel pilot who destroyed the first Death Star more than he was as a Jedi and his accomplishments on the second Death Star. I mean, all that stuff in the throne room wasn't really ever broadcast or known by anyone. As far as the galaxy knows, the Emperor just died in the explosion. Exactly, she had no idea about her abilities to use the force until Kylo showed her and opened her mind to it.
  11. Someone had 2 Gingerbread Houses listed on Amazon for 22.40 each, so I snagged them for next Xmas.
  12. Exactly. What, we just want another Vader? We're seeing the evolution of the big-bad for this trilogy as we go along. I love it.
  13. He's a poser, n o doubt. And Rey called him out on it, when she said, "You're afraid you'll never be as strong as Darth Vader." And to hear Kylo Ren talking to Vader's helmet, saying, "Forgive me...I feel the call to the light." He is the inverse of Anakin, but he doesn't know it. Anakin wanted to turn back but couldn't ("It's too late for me" he told Luke) Here you have a man who WANTS to let the dark in. Something happened in his past that has so warped his mind, I don't think there is any redemption for him in this story. And to see him banging on his blaster wound while fighting Rey...that was great. He's feeding his pain, increasing his link to the dark side, because he knows he needs it because he had been weakened). Fascinating stuff.
  14. The skeleton is similar, but the meat is very different. I don't know how you could be disappointed but to each his own. It was the most fun I've ever had at the theater, and everyone I was with thought the same thing. It got even better for me on my second viewing and there is SOOOO much more to the story than I originally thought. There are so many more plot points I missed, especially regarding the bigger picture of what is going on in the galaxy. Spoilers follow: At first I had a small problem with them rehashing the death star thing, and then on second viewing, I got it. The First Order is NOT the Empire. I knew that already, but I was thinking that it was really just a name change. But it is soooo much more than that. The First Order are fanatics. They're insane. They steal children from their families and train them as soldiers. The New Order is operating on a warped view of the Empire. The Emperor was evil, but not everyone who worked for the Empire was. This is not the case with the New Order. They sincerely have a perception of what the Empire was and they're taking the most extreme form of it and idolizing it. So they said, "We're going to rebuild the thing that the Rebellion destroyed as a way of saying that we are not afraid of you." We do the same thing in our own cultures today (rebuilding the World Trade Center, etc..) And then the New Order used that weapon to destroy pretty much the only fleets that the New Republic had (as seen in The Force Awakens when the 5 planets are destroyed) and all that is left is the Resistance, led by Leia, which is basically a black-ops team for the New Republic. I thought it was all genius. And Kylo Ren is the most interesting on-screen villain since...well, for a long, long time.
  15. Windeln liefert echt aus, krasser ****...nächstes Weihnachten kann kommen. Bester Deal des Jahres. Erst Galeria dann nochmal Galeria und dann Windeln...
  16. Transformer Devestor $69.97
  17. I love the entire Pirates line and think it will do really well soon. If the last Castle theme is any indicator, I will be selling bundles of this theme for double what I paid (after fees) in sixth months.
  18. Limited stock of 75054 AT-AT at Amazon.co.uk ( £83.14 )
  19. Honestly neither is anyone else. Maybe time for another username. Hear third times the charm... If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...
  20. Sold two 10233 Horizon Express sets for € 300. Buy in was € 160. Had them for just over a year.
  21. Unfortunately that's what happens when one's post reads as if a 7 year old wrote it, legitimate or not.
  22. I think the buildable figures are destined for clearance...
  23. I would like a UCS Jabba's Sail Barge with a Dersert Skiff. Close to minifig scale. Won't ever happen. a Cloud City would also be nice as would a $100 UCS landspeeder.
  24. you may be right there. I just looked at the sold prices for sealed 7191 UCS X-Wings and they haven't gone down despite the release of Red 5. As a fan it doesn't matter to me whether a model is the original or a re-release as long as I got the model I wanted. I look at it like they are plastic bricks and can be designed into any form imagined. I don't need the older original version. I do understand there are collectors who might want the original or as you said, as a status symbol.
  25. People paying $5000 for a LEGO set will still buy whatever set they want. It will not affect their buying decisions one iota. The 10179 is a status symbol. There is history there. A new one will have no such history....just a lot of people stockpiling it.
  26. That because your an Average Guy.
  27. Disney paid 4 BILLION dollars for this franchise. You had better believe they will be making more toys, authorized Lego sets included, than there ever before for this franchise , if not just to pay the bills alone. You can expect more remakes from Lego. Now that the Star Wars franchise has been rebooted, the fans are hungry again. Do you really think Lego wants buyers paying $4-5k to resellers when they can reboot that same kit again for $500? Lego is losing roughly $4k in sales every time a buyer buys a 10179. The buyer will spend his $4k in Lego kits , the question is who will he give it to? The Lego corporation or a reseller? Lego can easily get that market share back with a reboot of 10179.
  28. The eurobricks user "cavegod" announced a new UCS Millennium Falcon in 2016. I think he is a quite relaiable source, als passt has shown.
  29. Jumping on the SW love bandwagon after seeing it this afternoon. I am huge OT fan and saw the original film in 1977 when i was 8. TFA is fantastic. A great story told with precisely the right amount of detail and not a drop more. Perfectly edited. I did not expect the emotional response at seeing those yellow letters scrolling up the screen like my life going by but it was so justified. One of the most satisfying motion picture experiences of my life. I was one of those weirdo's giving it a standing ovation at the end. Going to see it again in 2 days.
  30. Build the Technic 42042 Crane the thing is a beast and imposes its presence once done challenging build end result is amazing. Great playability i saw a video where someone turned it into a RC.... might do that at one point.
  31. Called a costco in Manitoba and no stock on the transformer since July. She did mention Saskatoon has some
  32. Moved this summer and had to move my whole collection. Took some notes just in case anyone could use any tips when they move their Lego. Now I have a whole shed dedicated to my lego building/collecting, and other hobbies. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/416912
  33. Kylo Ren basically showed her how via his interrogation technique (it was basically Force Persuassion x10000). Can't blame a girl for being a quick study
  34. Ey thank you, bagged one for myself. Selling for a lot more than that on eBay so am surprised
  35. You mean limited to 1 per account [emoji6]
  36. I completely read that as the second coming of EDB. Haha... I read it as Empire State Building.
  37. I bet the store manager was heard yelling, "spaceship... Spaceship.... SPACESHIP!!!!"
  38. Whatever LEGO sets that don't get a remake might become the new iconic sets. I think the B-Wing just became a whole lot more valuable. Good thing I have 15 of them. LOL
  39. But it´s part of the business we are in and it has always been like that. There are so few 10179´s still around unboxed that it is unlikely to have a huge effect on their value.
  40. think it is going to look something like this
  41. After seeing the film I am for sure buying this set. Originally I wanted nothing to do with it after the last one being released. But now I am hooked and have to have it. I am sure there will be or have been lots that are sharing this same feeling after seeing the film.
  42. I have a rant. Now some folks here know I was displeased with the prequels but they did get something right. TFA'S First Order Leadership / Mgt should be fired starting with Snoke who's name reminds me of Snorks (show I watched as a kid). Anyway... After 55 years since Palpatine became chancellor (replaced the original General Zod) the bad guys have learned nothing. Death Stars and similar do not work against Rebel and Resistance "scum". These First Order folks are like The 3 Stooges. Seriously. It's simple. The only thing that seems to destroy the good guys are 1) trade blockades and 2) senate politics. Maybe sprinkle in some clones. If Ep 8 has another battle station, I will throw popcorn at the screen each of the 10 times I watch it in the theater. Ok, I'm done. It's still a great movie and Star Wars is back. I even want to rename our dog from Indiana to Rey.
  43. If JJ Abrams didn't incorporate the older movies to a large degree, people would complain. The pressure on these creators of this movie was tremendous, unlike anything ever encountered in movie history and I believe they did a stellar job mixing old and new and making a tremendously entertaining movie. Are there holes in the story, sure, but name me a movie that doesn't have holes in the plot. It wasn't meant to be super deep. It was meant to be fun and exciting and it succeeded at that more than any movie of recent memory IMO.
  44. The movie was a visual and acoustic masterpiece. The sound was just amazing. The last scene was awesome. It kept you interested and engaged from the opening credits to the closing credits. This movie has to be seen like 5 or 6 times before you can see all the little trinkets and homages to the older movies. Even other Classic movies had an influence on this one. I thought I wouldn't like John Boyega, he was my favorite character. Daisy Ridley is not only easy on the eyes, she kicks ass. Classic movie in every sense of the word. I cannot wait to see it again.
  45. I feel like I can safely wander back in here, after being absent for awhile. I won't spoil plot, but I will give my opinion...
  46. Kylo Ren is bad ass. I would say more terrifying than Vader due to his unpredictability. However, there is no music matching the imperial march like how Vader appeared on screen, which sort of dialed down the fear factor a bit.
  47. four step program BA 1) return all death stars 2) wait in line for new death star 3) get micro fighter death star 4) weep and cry rinse and repeat lol
