  5. He never finds any clearance of note, it always disappears the night before it's supposed to be marked down. Must be clearance eating elves or something, they got tired of fixing shoes or collecting underpants so they started reselling Lego.

  6. Went picking for my amazon businesses and found five 40138 Christmas Trains for $18 each at a thrift store. Offered to buy them all at $10 a piece. Settled at $12 each. Going for $58 on FBA.

  9. Excuses, excuses, and more excuses. This one will be different, this one won't be as detailed, the old one will still be in demand by the serious collectors, the new one will just bring more attention to the old one increasing demand, bla bla bla bla bla. Remakes are bad for business - The End.

  12. Finally picked up 75052 - Mos Eisley Cantina. Since the end is near for this set, plus no major retailer seems to have them anymore and the price was $56, I picked up two to stash away for awhile.

  13. 480 on a 400$ set come on folks way too early . I would be looking for the rope if it didn't go that much to begin with . That barely covers fees

  14. The thing is a bunch of people will buy because it doesnt matter if its a scam or not..Ebay or PP will refund their money and who do you think bites the bullet? The scam artist? Not! The only thing advertising that garbage here does is raise Ebay/paypal fees. So I sugesst everyone stops talking about it unless they want to be in full moderation mode.

  16. More rumors that the new UCS set is based on TFA. "According to one of our readers who goes by the name of Dan, a LEGO Star Wars UCS Starkiller Base set is actually in the works right now and it scheduled to be released in 2016. Based on what he told us, this new set will be quite massive with roughly 4,000 pieces. There is no word on what the actual set looks like, however, it’s possible to assume two possible routes this set can take. First, this Starkiller base could be a playset that goes along the lines of the 10188 Death Star. The second option is that it is actually a UCS set with a complex design such as the 10143 Death Star II. Hopefully it’s the latter of these two. From what I can tell, Dan seems to have a reliable source since he was also told about the new UCS Snowspeeder, which we just wrote an article about. That set was confirmed to be real thanks to the Brickset Database. If he was right about one set, then he’s probably right about the other." 18. Since the Winter Toy Shop remade this year, the biggest take away is to have a plan out. Once it reaches your desire price; SELL! Don't hold a bunch of a set forever.

  20. The brand new (German) brand catalog is here (click)! Direct link to PDF (282 MB!) Browsed it quickly: no Jurassic World and no Scooby-Doo?! No Architecture and Exclusives either but I assume that's because it's a "kids only" catalog. What's most interesting to you?

  23. What easter eggs did everyone pick out from the movie? I had a chuckle when Finn was going through a toolbox on the Falcon, and tossed out the training remote from ANH.

  24. Luke didn't seem to know anything about the Jedi or the force before Kenobi told him in ANH. Rey lives on the same type of backwater planet, with little contact with the rest of the universe. Obviously people are going to know about the war between the Rebellion and Empire, but with one Jedi and a couple of Sith in the mix, they would be legends outside of the group of people who knew them personally.

  25. It was an SSD. The Empire had more than one SSD. A great source for some background info is the Star Wars Visual Dictionary. I looked through it yesterday. They do confirm in there that the wreckage was another SSD. There's also background on people and places that was cut from the movie. There's a map, too (although that one I'm not too keen on). They do give a little bit more background on Hux, and what happened to the Imperials I agree with you. Rey didn't know that Luke Skywalker and Jedi truly existed. She's on a backwater planet, so only had heard rumors, etc. And like you said, the Jedi have been gone for 50 years by now. Even in TPM, in the Outer Rim planets (like Tatooine), the Jedi are known, but don't have an every day appearance.

  26. Since we saw Vader's burned helmet in Kylo's hand, is it safe to assume he destroyed most of Ewoks in moon of Endor to get it?

  27. A remake of the original ISD is probably a ways out as we'll likely see a TFA ISD first, so if you want some this is probably the best price you'll find them at before they disappear! After seeing TFA on friday; i went back to CT and picked up one of each of TFA sets for myself at %30 off (minus MF and Kylo shuttle as i'm not sure CT even carried them). Because after seeing the movie i had to have em :3 movie made me feel like a kid again.

  28. I really like this set at $50. It should settle in around $120 by next Christmas and could gain steam when the next movie hits. I remember seeing big stacks of Black Pearl on clearance too...

  30. Brickset has some images up of the upcoming Angry Birds sets. To me, these look really lame and dated. I really question the relevance of Angry Birds. http://brickset.com/article/18315/lego-angry-birds-revealed

  31. Now every bper should spread the words 10188 is so cool that one can not call themselves a lego collector without this legendary set. Sure we'll create a bubble big enough to benefit all of us...

  34. I second this! Yesterday found 3 Lego The Hobbit Unexpected Gathering #79003 at one of my local Walmarts. I was excited until I scanned one and saw the $69.99 price tag. Needless to say I left them all there. Just couldn't justify it after picking up 7 earlier in the year on clearance at the same Walmart for $49 each. I am tempted to go back and see if I can hassle the toy manager to mark them down further since they are retired and no longer sold at Walmart.

  39. Let's hope so. That would be the best case scenario for resellers as well as collectors. Don't know if there is enough in the movies to support a Starkiller playset but a UCS model would be fun.
