Just adding this to the archive: Look at what I received with my S@H order. I hope this accidentally fell out of someone's mouth when this was being packed up. This is a new one for me, unbelievable.

No doubt about that, but this set is exactly on point in trying to appeal to the Doctor Who fan. If you asked a Doctor Who fan what they would want in a set, this has it. So Lego didn't miss appealing to the target audience, now the question is how big that audience is. I'll be getting some for a Christmas flip. And a report of 15 people lined up to buy it on release day? How many were lined up to buy the Mystery Machine?

My 15% coupon worked with Dr. Who this morning. No TRU markup either, $59.99 before coupon. I don't see this one lasting until TRUTH.

The SC is a great set! I'v got one here on display at work and enjoy playing around with it, its very versatile. I love how you can box it up so it's all closed and can be driven around or open the marketplace and start selling droids to the local farmers from Tatooine. I also have one for the personal collection and will build it up when I get tired of the Slave I and MKII. This one won't be around for too long. It's a fantastic set with 3000+ pieces and somehow it doesn't get the attention it deserves. However things will change once it disappears! It's almost the same piece count as 10221, but £100 less...so it's quite a bargain.

That single set has cost me more than I otherwise buy in like a year at LEGO Shop at Home. And that with a price tag of $0. And I will have to keep one or have a sulking wife: no question what to choose there. Hopefully they make it stop soon, I cannot take any more.

Here is where the Maz Kanata minifigure came from apparently. Interesting seeing a Star Wars set with a couple play features reminiscent of Minecraft and that hanging banner looks like an uncooked slab of bacon. Haha.

I sold through all of my Stagecoaches at $50 each and made a good profit. I picked up 20 or so at KMart for $11-$13 each. Still kicking myself for leaving behind the 20 or so Gandalf Arrives at $6 each. I think I bought 3.

It must have blended in with the blue on the packaging and the warehouse worker couldn't find it, if he/she even bothered to look for it. I did have a half empty packet of soy sauce plastered to the side of my UPS package one time. Fortunately the contents didn't get on the inside, but I think my driver had lunch on the go and used my box as a table.

I've sold a few of the Lightning Lads on BL for $20 so far, mostly to European buyers.

Hands up here to being a old DW fan here. And trust me, there are people who live and breath DW much more than me. A friend got us tickets to the recent DW Festival in London held by the BBC. As he got the expensive VIP tickets we got a goody bag, containing a T-SHirt, handbook, and a few other goodies. We were given a page of the script from episode one of the current series. Just a sheet of A4. I sold 2 of these for £4 each. I sold the T-Shirt for £20. Hopefully the handbook will go for £30. I grabbed a load of programs, I have those listed for £4 each. I profess to know nothing about DC, Chima, Ninjago etc A little about Star Wars, ie I know the films, hence I tend to steer clear of those sets. But this, I know it will do good. It has a worldwide audience. Its the first set lego have produced. Its them testing the waters. If it sells well, we ma get a eitire theme.

I didn't try. I personally don't care to stack multiple coupons on a single item.

I pretty much shared this experience as a kid. Although, I am willing to give the modern version a shot, just haven't made time for it yet.

use those calls wisely, if i remember correctly, that you only have limit of 3(three) replacement or similar calls. after that they will just ban you or don't replace anything for you. other BP'ers can verify on this though.

sigh. that sounds awesome. i'm still cleaning the toilet with a toothbrush now that the Target order from last tuesday arrived before i could intercept. time to go to sleep so i can get up early and pack. ebay is finally waking up for my sub$100 clearance junk. even lite brixTM (ick) are selling for 4x what i paid for them at the grocery store clearance. 2 out of 3 PS and PR (each shipped 3 per box in 2 separate boxes despite one order) were surprisingly mint and PS not too recent 37R and 40R5 so September and October - is it DECEMBER YET??? long term ebay is in big trouble because of amazon . i wish i could find a way to do a 20 year short on ebay.

First impressions: Box is beautiful. This is a beast. It's almost the exact size of Brainiac Attack, but is easily twice as heavy.

Agents Ocean HQ for $119 + $20 shipping. This one might be a 'hidden gem'. I got two of them at TRU for $50 last weekend. Not sure what sort of long term hold the set would be, but I'd say it's flip worthy if your buy in was $50. I was shocked to see that 2-3 of these per day were selling at $140, right after the theme was 30% off all weekend at TRU. Nice!
