They better have some other stuff they didn't want to show. All this over poly bags is really not that impressive .4 points

That video is a little disturbing. While I don't mind people clearing a shelf of an item because I do it myself from time to time, does he really need to be such a ****** as he does it? Seriously, who is so full of themselves that they need to make a video like this? What's the point, other than to get a rise out of people and to inflate their own ego?4 points

This is how I imagine a lot of the members here look as they clear the stores of Amiibos, LEGO sets, and whatever else the hot item of the day is. At the very least SupraBoy looks like this.3 points

Friends Heartlake Mall for $80 locally on CL. Only a one mile drive and buy-in at $55. I've almost completed the task of no more Chima, Ninjago or Friends. There is money to be made in these themes, but seems the hold time is much longer.3 points

I am happy this does not exist for us "poor" europeans. Imagine you found this "hidden gem" that nobody thought about and you are hoarding it accordingly. Than this system comes into play and your hidden gem gets exposed. You can kiss your profits goodbye and once more the herd becomes an united sausage.3 points

So... Temple of Airjitsu... Got one with the recent deal with that free Serpent thingie set. This set is blimmin' GORGEOUS. The details, the building techniques... this deserves to be more popular than the modular buildings, all other things equal. Love the use of the speargun used as a desk lamp support, the upside-down garage jointed panels for the roofs of the buildings, the way the small curved staircases are build by simultaneously facing three directions. And the end result is breath taking. I don't even care about the minifigs (I'll probably sell them off). Just gorgeous.2 points

wuh???? weird liquidation? - sounds like what happens after eating an infected brownie. my staid solid DO from shop at home Jan 1 2015 weighs 2.639 kg. snagged 2 Red 5 and 4 RE at lego store in northshore mall but that sucks compared to vexxet's weird liquidation haul.2 points

went to my weird local liquidation store today because they said they had a parisian restaurant for 110$ and a millenium falcon for 95$. Got there and the falcon was gone, but he had the restaurant still... and 5 Detective offices that i bought for 632$ total for all of them... woo hoo! one box has some dings, but all of them look pretty good. (and weigh 2.6 kilograms each... which is what the parisian weighed and matched my other parsian... not sure about how much the detective offices should weigh though)2 points

Sold another 40138 train promo on ebay, $49.50 shipped. Need to hold on to a few until the Gingerbread arrives... that combo looks to be doing very nicely. Reached my next seller limit today! Thanks to all the incredibly useful advice on these forums, getting there was quite a breeze.2 points

Well all that "Kylo might be female" is more based on wishful thinking than on facts. Whereas HIM being a man has been using facts and clues that we have been given to determine the sex of that character. As a science person I'm sticking to the facts and clues approach. Also: This is not the new ghostbusters movie so men are still allowed. We got Captain Phasma who is the suprise female of this movie. Leia and Rey will probably be strong female characters (especially Rey). I mean we can argue about BB-8... is this shape suppossed to be... but that would take it too far if you ask me ;-) And don't forget about our animated alien character who is kind of female. Let's be honest: Ther is a good male/female ration in there from what we know right now. Nobody really cares too much about the nameless characters in the background. For all we know most of these stormtroopers could be female... in theory... (I'm also hoping for a female officer as we have seen in the LEGO sets. Female stormtroopers would also be great but I doubt we'll see that (other than captain phasma)).2 points

Yep, I package them nicely between 2 pieces of cardboard and plenty of tape to seal it. 11oz - $3.25 First Class USPS Clear about $10, no trip to the LEGO Store (over 2 hours from me) and no waiting until April-June to cash in those points. 2 out of 3 buyers were GSP.2 points

TRU usually puts sale, clearance, and Hot buys as $X.98 or $X.97 don't know why or when this changed but Benny's was on sale for $59.99. The 15% off coupon is not expired and sale items are not excluded. The coupon works like and instead of the 10% off TRUTH and Sat. So you must use your TRU CC at least for partial pay and the cashier must select the prompt for CC as form of payment once it is scanned not at the end of the transaction. So just have them scan it then ask them nicely to tap the CC prompt on the screen before moving on.2 points

How is that even possible? It was free with $99 purchase. Why not LEGO Shop at Home for $99 of product AND GH? Are buyers really that ridiculous?2 points

I hardly ever see flat rate as savings for LEGO sets. 1 of these sets should ship first class for sure. I just shipped a turkey (40091) in an 8x6x4" box for $2.74 and that'd be the same anywhere in the US. My 4 Bricktobers in a set from CA to KY was $8.99 Priority Mail, so in most cases, that should save over the medium flat-rate if you bundle the seasonals.2 points

Don't be an ass... Until now this thread has been relatively civil but I think it has run its course. All you folks who buy up all the stock (yep, I did it with 30320) know exactly what your doing and that some people are going to get annoyed over it. Just like you're saying the OP needs to deal with it, you need to deal with the fact some people will hate it. Personal attacks will cause this thread to be locked up tighter than ex1's TRU for stacking.1 point

Bricklink stats show that this set has been in stagnation since May (as have 10197 and 10211) and also that there are roughly double the number of sets listed now as then. As a buyer, if you see that prices are falling as people undercut one another you will hold off from making your purchase as long as possible - sellers get more nervous and the price goes down. Compare this with SSD and R2 which have both grown steadily during the same period and now have much fewer listings - perhaps the anticipation of the new film is giving them a kick in the pants and there is more to come. If the modulars don´t regain upward momentum after Xmas it is not a good sign of things to come.1 point
