  4. Sold a 9509 Star Wars Advent Calendar 2012 for €20 excl. shipping (to France). Buy-in was €13. I know, it could probably do better but it's my first sale on eBay so still building up seller's reputation.
  5. This further supports my theory that BA works at TRU.
  6. Used Market Street for $950. A good day!
  7. UN building 21018 is now call to check are EU shop. Nooooo, I don´t have this one!!!!!
  8. I'm very happy that Disney, J.J.Abrahams, etc. worked so quickly on that one and that Daniel got his wish fulfilled. I'm very sad that issues that would be solveable and fates that wouldn't need to end in early death don't get the attention they deserve and don't move people as this one did. (Not meaning instead of, but as well).
  9. They just better not be the friends/elves type figures.
  10. I looked over the shelves for a good bit Saturday, had physical coupons and gift cards in hand, and still couldn't bring myself to buy anything. Anything I was interested in was marked up a good bit and it wasn't really worthwhile.
  11. According to this https://instagram.com/p/96Fas4rVPf/ Disney minifigs ?

This one mostly fits into this topic. Here's an alternate take on the Sea Cow: I Think I Built My Sea Cow Wrong
  19. Yep. My last visit was 10/29/15 and was only able to grab 1 of the 4rth week set due to all the new hires (only took 43 minutes to buy 1 set). Now I'm sitting on over $300 in gift cards. I'll patiently wait in the corner. Kind of happy to be getting my Slave 1 for about $10 thanks to my 1st Pseudoty $199.50 discount
  20. I am beyond excited for these. I really hope they are classic Disney characters. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, etc. They could do a Steamboat Willie too. So many possibilities! I just love Disney and these would really open up Lego to a whole other group of collectors that maybe do not buy much Lego.

eBay is advertising my sets to me!!! AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. They were just stopping the shelves in my area around 2 am last night so go out and check this morning if you haven't already. When they put the pallets out I can normally find 1 or 2 Lego boxes on the toy pallets but last night there was at least 15 different Lego boxes.
  23. Previous truth deals have definitely spoiled us. I miss getting 20%, 15% and $5 off $25 one item plus free bricktober set.
  24. imho, folks are over thinking the December first deadline, data shows the Danes are strong going into the first week of December . Not to sound sacrilegious, but you can open more than one a day.
  25. Correction. one gone for £120. If another goes soon, I shall think about increasing the price for the last 2!

Why is this stupid? Mega detailed Lego Technic with 3000-4000 pieces is loooong overdue, especially if the set is in the shape of a car and not another construction vehicle. I find it ridiculous that people are happy to pay 300-400 in any currency for a boring house or just something equally un-inspiring in the Lego range, but when it comes to Technic all of a sudden it's too much. Are you serious? Technic is absolutely amazing and there are so many things yet to be done with Technic, the theme has such a potential!

  28. They don't repackage it, but they are usually opened and re-taped with a special "eBay" tape. We have a thread somewhere about global shipping... I've had very good luck with one exception - they put the loose bricks back on the bottom and the set box on top. The weight of the box caused indents and scratches all over it despite the bricks being in a plastic bag... (yeah it mattered, it was an SDCC set that'll never leave the box). Someone else has had them cut the LEGO box with the knife used to open the box... so make sure you guys leave a little air space at the top or put a scrap piece of cardboard under the tape seam!
  29. Well, that's debatable. Time = money :)
  30. $59 - Logging Truck FBA 2 x $45 Empire State Building FBA
  31. Listed 3 holiday trains for $34.99 each on amazon non-prime, not expecting them to sell and they all sold out within the last hour. I was not even close to the lowest price among third party sellers. I will most certainly take it.
  32. Causing a stir, look at the product description. http://www.amazon.com/Star-Force-Awakens-Piece-Puzzle/dp/B0153YLTIY/ref=sr_1_2?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1447098640&sr=1-2&keywords=star+wars+1000+piece+puzzle

  34. i will just make sure that the deal is legit before embarking in a 6 hour round trip...
  35. If they do these even just "so-so" they will still be gold, Disney collectors are "nuts"!
  36. agreed. At this point in the game my TRU purchases will end up under a tree in the wee hours of christmas morning.
  37. With rumors going around since April, it looks like there is a little more solid confirmation thanks to Instagram user blockpopinjeju.
  38. It's great, if you eat it before midnight. After that, it turns into a gremlin.
  39. Amazon is up again, backordered for 11/16. EDIT: Oops gone again current BB price is 66.90 with 18 offers lower than this. Seller has a limit of 5, so I would guess he's pretty confident in his stock on hand. Current number of offers 357. Ebay doesn't appear to have changed much.
  40. Sold a Fallingwater for $190 shipped on Amazon.
  41. This is the first time I've ever posted in this thread, but I feel a little like a kid in a candy store. I found myself an early Christmas present! Used on Craigslist...$700 with box and instructions. Was only missing about 12 pieces which we easily found in our collection. Out of 5922...that's pretty good! The light is nothing original, but really enhances nighttime display! Sits quite comfortably next to the Eiffel Tower. Now I just need the GC!
  42. Well, at my day job I work under a union contract. This particular union contract leaves no room for individual tangible rewards from our employer -- everyone doing the same job gets paid the same, there are no individual raises and no bonuses. And I would be the first to point out that yes, for many of the people here work degrades to the lowest bare minimum of service they can do without getting written up. However there are also plenty of other employees that regularly try and raise the bar for job performance. These people find that they get the gratitude of their fellow workers, their customers and if they have a good manager they are also awarded priority for picking schedules and projects. These employees also tend to stay for the long haul and receive longevity raises and tend to stay until their retire with pension benefits -- the slackers tend to leave angry and upset after a couple of years. -=- As for how it applies to restaurants, I live in California and we have a fast food chain here called "In & Out" that can be an interesting case study. Based on friends I knew that worked there back in the 90's, they were never expected to be tipped, they were paid nearly double the minimum state wage, shift supervisors were encouraged to write up anyone that provided bad customer service and most importantly managers actually fired people that got written up. As a result, as a customer -- I knew they were paid well and the service I got there always exceeded my expectations for a fast food restaurant, and often exceeded what I would expect at a diner. -=- If I walk into a restaurant, if I receive poor service, I look around and see what level of service other people are receiving. If it appears my service was worse then that received by other people, I mention it to the shift supervisor, or manager on my way out. If it appears everyone is receiving poor service, I vote with my money and never visit that establishment again. If others did the same, then those that run places with poor wages and low expectations will go out of business and those that pay well and have high expectations from their employees will prosper.
  43. I'm a little disgusted knowing that a good percentage of EBay members who sell loose LEGO must live in an environment that smells like cigarette smoke mixed in with Brut/Old Spice.
  44. Thirsty, I'm not trying to call you out but, this post is a perfect example of why anyone thinking about getting into this needs to sell a few items BEFORE they wind up with a portfolio worth $70k. Buying is easy, finding deals is a thrill. Selling, no matter what platform you're on is hard. Anyone doing this needs to know that. Good luck, I've sold on eBay for over a decade and am, for the most part, happy with it.
