Ferrari F40. Total love-hate relationship with this car... Love: 1) the ways that Lego designers are able to create angles and shapes is absolutely astonishing. I love when I am building a section that I have no idea where it is headed until I pop it in to place. There are plenty of surprises in this build. 2) the wow factor. I gotta hand it to Lego, they have made another incredible vehicle. I was concerned what having two red cars on the shelf would look like, but the either it is a different shade of red or the red on black just pops differently than the T1 on white. It really stands out and looks beautiful. Hate: 1) the stickers. I don't necessarily hate placing stickers on Lego, but these are particular cumbersome because they are so tiny and my fingers completey covered them so I had trouble making sure it was lined up properly. I had to carefully re-lift and place far too many times. These are high-stakes too. If you want straight pinstripes or logos, you better have a steady hand. 2) fragile- I found a way to break it several times during build and my kid and I both found a way to break it after build. It is most definitely a display piece only. 3) lacking "fun" details. The T1 and especially the Mini Cooper raised the bar in regards to the extra factors such as a picnic basket, spare tire, or fan belt on engine kinda stuff. F40 has a sweet engine, but it becomes locked in with the bumper. It can be removed but should not be so tedious to do so. Also the trunk contains a container and some white case or something. Kind of blah. Also the stick to hold up the back car hood would be better attached with a ball joint or something. Overall the end result is a really cool display piece. Looks better in person than on the website and box. A great addition to the cars series, as long as you don't fiddle with it too much! I definitely recommend for build and display, but on the fence for investment some day down the road.7 points

Son and I spent 4 days building the Pet Shop. I never really understood the modular craze, until now. When I saw the pics that were uploaded for the brick bank, I thought it was time to at least get a pet shop before it went. So we bought it this month to have at least one in the collection. This was perhaps the most fun building experience of the many sets that we have done. The details in this set are just awesome, and this blows away all the architecture sets by a mile. I guess, we'll be ordering the other 4.. Don't think i'll be going back on the retired versions of this line, but the fire brigade sort of looks fun.5 points

Companies that are as successful as TLG tend to make money, not statements. PS may go or it may stay (I think it is going), but it won't be because TLG wanted to make a statement to one of the smallest slices of its consumer base (i.e., resellers).4 points

It is a give and take I am doing great on JW sets. they will be gold this Christmas in my opinion whether there is some channel supply or not. I do know many people say factor in labor. However if this is your hobby, I guess instead of working on this you could instead sit on a couch and stare at a wall and charge $0 per hour and be bored. Labor is a factor but only if this is in my opinion not your hobby and you could replace all of the time you spend on it with something at a better hourly rate. In the world today there are a great many people who would not be able to find work to replace it at a more profitable rate while also being a hobby... not directed at you but something that has been on my mind when multiple people have said on BP to factor your labor costs in ... yes factor them in but also factor them against multiple variables3 points

This is a great article and video posted on the home page here at BP (from the Brick Blogger): http://thebrickblogger.com/2015/10/lego-africa-first-time-playing-with-lego/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+thebrickblogger+(TheBrickBlogger) My five year-old son and I are going to send a box to this program. He is so "over-privileged" when it comes to the amount of Lego toys in our home. Watching this video makes him understand how lucky he is and it's amazing to me how much he wants to share and help kids who don't have Legos. I hope some of you will donate as well. This is guaranteed to give you lots of good karma for the upcoming holiday season. Tower of Orthanc will pop back into stock at the moment you're sitting at your computer, Death Star will retire three weeks before TFA opens, and Palace Cinema will leapfrog the Pet Shop and retire the day after Thanksgiving... All because you donated an old box of Legos to children who will love them. Now who's the winner?2 points

I agree with everything being said that also being said the demand for JW will far exceed any demand the Tumbler had in my opinion who knows if I am right but I think JW will be just fine for the Christmas flip2 points

Ok here is an update. Things have changed on how we get our data and the format that it is in. It seems that everyone in all the major companies are really either closing doors on data that is given out, or clamping down on how people share info. I have a bunch of code that I need to update in order to work with the new data. I need a few more days to work this out and make sure it's right. The good news is that, based on what I see, I hope that as everything moves forward, it will not need to be monthly updates. It could possibly make it's way to weekly updates, we will have to see. So if anyone asks where is the update, just point them to this post. I will try to get it out there as soon as I can.2 points

I've never seen that either and I have no idea if you can correct and be protected. It was just a hunch based on changes PayPal has made in the last couple years to try and "correct" incorrect mailing addresses when you sign up but retroactively they can't just go a fixin' things in people's accounts. (or shouldn't). I would email the buyer again and ask them to fix the address and call PayPal directly asap. Get it on file that you can't ship it!1 point

I think this is one of those sets you can give to people who don't know they have any interest in Lego and they will still really appreciate it as a display item (Ok maybe I am a little biased because I LOVE the film). Similar to Wall-e (and pretty much all the other CUUSOO stuff actually). Is a great set with some real potential with and without a HQ on the horizon. Think I've just convinced myself to go out and start stocking up on these1 point

What the forum members are saying is that those employees likely know less than we do about product retirement (less than nothing is still nothing btw). I don't think mean you are a liar that they did not say that, it's that they don't believe what the employees said. Guys - language is important. Rude posts have no place here and yet again we ask you to tone it down. Seriously, if you can't write a reply without insulting someone, DONT REPLY.1 point

Lol, let me clear the air here. First off I didn't say anything about food, that was someone else. I was referring to keeping track of your mileage so if/when you submit your earnings from this hobby with your taxes, you would get some money back. If I recall correctly, you were putting on some pretty good mileage making the rounds picking up lego. I didn't mean keeping track of everything and that snickers bar but it definitely got blown up like that.1 point

Whenever I get messages asking too many questions about condition, "is it in perfect condition?", "would you rate it a 10?", I politely decline to comment on what I think about the condition and try to add even more photos if possible. My Spidey sense starts to tingle and I try my best to simply let the photos speak for themselves and let the buyer decide on their own. I'll never rate a package or make any comment on condition other than it's new and unopened. Sometimes I'll even discourage the buyer from buying as politely as I can. I sell stuff to simply get rid of it and earn some extra spending money for other toys, so I try to be the lowest priced listing. Also, I'm not going to ask top dollar if I know there any kind of defects on the package, and I'll price even lower than the lowest priced listing. Basically, I try to under-promise and over-deliver.1 point
