I was at TRU yesterday and overheard a kid asking his Dad about the Jurassic World sets. They were nowhere to be found. The Dad told him "we'll have to check Target or Walmart". Sorry to break it to you Timmy, but I hope you've been good this year because Santa is the only one that can give you a Raptor or Indominus Rex this year. Make sure those sets are at the top of your list so your Dad works very, very hard to make sure Santa is able to put it under the tree.5 points

I got the last few pieces I needed for the 5004590 Bat-pod and built it last night. It is such an awesome set and now I need to crack open one of my Tumblers to go along side of it.4 points

After my previous Indiana Jones MOC collection post I'd like to share with you something else that had to be done in a LEGO MOC version sooner or later! This is one of my all time favorite animes and if you're still looking for something to watch: This might be it! Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the most iconic animes and very well deserved it's own LEGO MOCs :-) Let's start with the smallest one and work our way up to my favorite! 1. This is a well made "bionicle" version of EVA Unit 2. Though I like the overall design of it I prefer more minifig friendly versions. 2. These are great! I mean they even have their hangar! ^.^ If I am correct these are Units 00, Unit 01 and Unit 02 (from right to left). Although all of them are solid builds they just are too "blocky". 3. The unquestionable winner!!! This is one of THE best NGE MOCs I could find. And I'd say one of the best MOCs in general. Not only is the design pretty accurate but even the size is minifig friendly ;-) This thing is huge and it's weight in Gramm is 9400g !!! (For all the poor people who where born in countries that don't use the metric system: 20.7 pounds). The height by the way is 120cm!!! (4 foot tall ;-) ) Seeing how it is poseable with it's enorm size and weight I'm even more impressed. This thing has got everything going for it from size to poseability to accuracy... just WOW! If you agree with me that this MOC deserves a big LIKE please press the like button ;-)4 points

But, like usual, BPers can be their own worst enemy, especially when they wipe them out so quickly. It just triggers false scarcity, and can make lego consider creating more supply. Like that old budweiser commercial - "Know when to say when"... otherwise it becomes a DS, T1, Red5, and PS all over again, where the sets are always being prolonged, because resellers buy up 90% of the restock in hours..2 points

Don't think it's done but do think it will be hard/impossible for them to keep in stock for X-mas. They can barely keep in stock now, how could they possibly do so 6 weeks from now? Everything I have now is to flip for little Timmy's X-mas except for RE. I'm taking a wait and see approach with that one.2 points

Santa's workshop is more popular because its not a bunch of random minifigures like in a LEGO winter village. It's Santa Claus, a legendary mythic figure who's story has been around in one form (Saint Nicholas) or another (Santa Claus) for well over a thousand years. This is the flagship Santa Claus set. Regular LEGO end users couldn't get their hands on this for MSRP last year. Now is their big chance. I'm sure a few resellers are snagging too but this is one of those sets I would be afraid of going overboard on from shop at home and getting banned. I will put in multiple separate single orders mixed with some other smaller sets addressed to each of my kids when the holiday promo goes live though.2 points

Just anecdotal but US mom & pop said they could not order more JW after two early deliveries that flew off the shelves. They recommended checking LEGO Shop at Home.2 points

Surely you can´t be serious. "I am and don´t call me Shirley." His "spontaneous" turn as an infiltrated stand up comedian in Police Squad is one of my favourite tv moments.2 points

I didn't expect to hear about real toys in this thread. Maybe we can get back to CL war stories instead of gun rights?2 points

A "murder rap"? I'm not the one stealing. It is for self defense. I have all intentions of meeting in a public place. It still doesn't prevent people from following you to your car, home or wherever to steal their money back from you.2 points

If you're a responsible gun owner who carries why not bring one. Better to have it if youdo need it.2 points

This is happening with more and more products on Amazon. Won't be surprised when the day comes Lego contacts Amazon and asks them to only allow authorized sellers to sell their product on the platform. Don't put all of your eggs in any one platform.2 points

Wow, you guys really have a lot of issues to deal with when trading with people! I´m more worried about fake banknotes than having a gun pulled on me.2 points

Wall-E ain't no Exo suit and an Exo suit ain't no Wall-E. Get your quota. Either now or later. Then move on. Taking advantage of double VIP and TRUTH and FAO is a good idea as discounts are getting hard to come by as time moves on. Many of you know how easy it was to get discounts on Lego often, it ain't like that anymore.2 points

Sounds like Lego needs to stop sourcing parts from Chinese counterfeiters. That said, my local Target has the set on display and it looks good. The problem (investment wise) is it doesn't look like an X-wing. It will sink or swim on how awesome Poe turns out to be as a character. If it were Chewie's X-wing, I'd be all over it in 1.5 years.1 point

Earlier this week it was shot/vacinne day for my son at the doctors, so my wife bribed him with The First Night (21115). He is obsessed with Minecraft. He almost completely abandoned LEGO over it. Is it possible to go into the Dark Ages at age 5? If it weren't for the Minecraft sets, he probably would have already. The build was pretty fragile. More fragile than any other set I constructed. But when the finishing touches came into place on the roof perimeter, the set was pretty sturdy. I like the look and a few of the details, especially on the pig pen gate and fence. I also like the detachable roof and dark grey bricks. If you are a Minecraft fan, this is a fun set to add to the collection. This reminds me of the Hobbit Unexepected Gathering. I sold/traded all of mine before building one. I kind of regret that now1 point

I have a higher percentage of buyers not pay from the GSP. I am pretty sure it's because they don't realize how much shipping is actually going to cost. Before you relist, I would double check your weight, to make sure it is fairly accurate. It might be high and causing the GSP to overcharge the customer shipping on their end.1 point
