Got my Niko-Tumbler. Minty fresh with the scent of hair care. Should order more from him.4 points

I missed out on the HH for myself last year, was able to pickup 5 at the time but just got a used one on eBay for $325 which I think was ok considering.3 points

This is hit or miss. I've had the same TRU give me both coupons and price match, then two days later refuse to give both (one or the other) and then a week later give both again. Just depends on the store, the managers and how the cashiers are trained (or not trained). Whether my stacking works or not I am always polite, I never complain, and I act apologetic and friendly when my tactics don't work. I hope everyone does the same.3 points

TRU now has the 75053 Ghost at $71.99. Stack a 20% coupon with 10% TRUSA (that's TRUTH on Saturdays), and it comes to $51.83 (+ tax). 42% off. That's the best price I've seen all year.3 points

For lack of a better place at the moment, here's a post about the fallout from this "discovery" .. http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/comment/381034/#Comment_381034 Warning, there is a LOT of potential set names revealed. If you don't like spoilers, don't go!3 points

Look at the bright side... You don't live in Quebec. /kidding3 points

To be Frank, the white gives me indigestion but the black one looks like it will be edible.2 points

The piece count could work. The set could be highly detailed and finished on all four sides, unlike the Modulars. It could also have a super detailed interior. I would love to see it, but I have to wonder if there are not better models to invest 4600 pieces into.2 points

My 4 cases of series 14 from indigo arrived this morning. Extremely fast shipping from Canada. I ordered these two days ago. All four cases are still sealed. They didn't even open the lego cardboard box they came in. The packing slips were all inserted into their own plastic envelope and stuck to the outside of the shipping carton. I am extremely happy with this company, and the price on these can't be beat.2 points

My partner is taking a six month sabbatical (she's a prof) and we're going to Perpignan France for 6.5 months. Was going to post about it closer to as we don't officially have our French visas yet. France isn't part of the British commonwealth so it's a ton of stupid paperwork!2 points

Now "Sold Out" at US LEGO Shop at Home. Of course, we now know "Sold Out" means NOTHING.2 points

ok, you are the one order loose bags and that is why gregpj did not get a sealed case2 points

I finally got a used fire brigade for $175 plus shipping on eBay :)2 points

Well, fantastic news. After all this talk with not only here, but the wife and everything, I just received notification from lego that I'm a winner. My only assumption is someone had won and didn't respond in time and so they moved on. I'm so damn stoked. I can't wait to receive my shipping notification.2 points

I'll actually be kinda annoyed if they make this. Of all the popular licenses Lego has access to, they choose Ghostbusters to make a 4600 piece set?2 points

funny how lego IDEAS downed the project and now are making it themselves NOT to pay the original designer royalty fees... same with helicarrier2 points

Just finished my third modular and second via bricklink. Spent a hair over $400 on it. Could have been cheaper but I stayed pretty true to the original except for the third floor windows. The front door, dark blue posts next to the doors, blue shirt minifig, and skis over the door were the priciest. I did end up with some extra doors so I can sell them to get it under $400... or do another one...2 points

Thirsty, I'm not trying to call you out but, this post is a perfect example of why anyone thinking about getting into this needs to sell a few items BEFORE they wind up with a portfolio worth $70k. Buying is easy, finding deals is a thrill. Selling, no matter what platform you're on is hard. Anyone doing this needs to know that. Good luck, I've sold on eBay for over a decade and am, for the most part, happy with it.2 points

I managed to find a Parisian Restaurant at my local TRU, with the 22% off voucher came to $195. This is for the personal collection so I'm happy with that.1 point

Part of me belives this because of the person who leaked it but most of me calls BS because of the piece count and price. Do you really think TLG is gonna drop the 3rd largest Lego set EVER in an area that doesn't even have a theme? I don't.1 point

Price guide is consuming outliers that are throwing it off. There are a couple of bulk lots that have sold for a lot, and that's what makes the price look high. If you look at BL and eBay themselves, individuals are going for $5-$10 right now.1 point

just2good is a member here, maybe they'll come by and post more. There's no way they re-release the Fire Brigade and slap a Ghostbusters logo on it. This will be more like Haunted House IMO - standalone but you could add into a modular lineup if you make a few modifications.1 point

http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=92222&idColor=34#T=S&C=77&O={"color":77,"ii":1} this part in the correct gray color seems to be difficult to find in addition to the wheels. It was available for order from Target and TRU in a Hero Factory set a couple of days ago - not sure if that is still the case.1 point

I hope this is not a fire brigade remake. With added pieces like the winter toy shop. We wait all year for the new winter theme set and its a remake. We wait all year for the next modular and boom they do it again. Fingers crossed that it's really ghostbusters.1 point

...and I'm the opposite. Watched the movies in the theater, was starting Jr. High when the cartoon was on.1 point

Wouldn't have stuck though... when you make up a URL under that sub folder it will put up a generic not found page instead of the product not available page. ie. http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Death-Star-III-10888 isn't valid even though it's a well-formed URL.1 point

True that. As I kid, I wanted to BE Bill Murray... Stripes, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters. And I was 9 when Ghostbusters hit the big screen.1 point

I bought two of the 7678 advent calendars from the news thread. $23, why not? I have 4 kids of Lego age, now in December they can each open a calendar each day (new city, SW, Friends, and now 7678). No fighting!!!1 point
