More sets...More chances of errors and issues. I am still impressed with the overall quality of the sets considering the enormous quantities made. I think box quality is improving and minifigures are way better than years ago. I think this hobby is filled with overly smart...and anal...people, who nitpick things to death. What bothers me more is the lack of creativity by re-releasing sets like the Winter Toy Shop.8 points

My Wife: "Ok it's Friday night. How much did you spend on Legos this week?" Me: "Well, technically, I think it's 'Lego'. I don't think you pluralize it." My Wife: "Really? Like how the plural form of 'moose' is also 'moose' and not 'mooses' or 'meese' or something?" Me: "Yeah, I think so." My Wife: "Okay, well how much did you spend on Lego this week?" Me: "I'd prefer to think about it in terms of how much I SAVED on Lego this week." My Wife: .... (eyes narrowing) .... "I'm going to Lululemon. I'll be back in an hour." Me: "Yeah that's probably fair." My Wife: "And you're watching Miss America with me on Sunday night. But we can play a drinking game. You have to take a shot every time a girl says the word 'blessed' or 'opportunity' or 'surreal'." Me: "Actually, I'm totally in for that." My Wife: "But seriously, how much did you spend on LEGO this week?" Me: "On second thought, you might be right. It might be 'Legos.'"4 points

Went to the Lego Store today. Here's a few pics. Most everything in stock, including Death Star, Ewok Village, Slave 1, and Tower Bridge. They had all JW sets except Raptor Escape and Indom. Rex. They also didn't have TOO and the Lego guy said they won't see that one again. No series 14 minifigs; he said those disappear in 2 days or less. Picked up 5 Trick or Treats. Seal on TRex Tracker was 30R5, on Raptor Rampage was 34R5.2 points

So not as good as I initially thought. The £10 off vouchers cant be used together. So they are just £10 off a single transaction. The stickers are still running though. The £10 off has to be used between the 18th and 24th of this month. So I got 4 £10 off vouchers and a £20 off voucher, and bought ecto ecto wall-e + CMF wall-e + CMF (at least both CMF's were tiger ladys) Nothing amazing, I'm gonna build a wall-e with my little boy today, use the £10 off vouchers on the Star Wars build able figures next week, and prob use the £20 off on another ecto.2 points

Didn't see a main thread for chapters. They seem to have revamped their plum rewards program, on sept 10th you get 10x the plum points limited to one transaction per plum member. Couldn't find any exclusions for Lego. So instead of getting 5 points per $1 spent, you will get 50. I plan on getting 60 S14 CMF which should give 11,850 points which is $25 in points which comes out to around 10% off. Anybody else take advantage of plum points?1 point

It's just that as others have pointed out, all lego CMF have the same item # with target. So if they see that they haven't moved any, they're not going to jump on more. Whereas after I bought my local target out of stock, they put another case+ on their hanging racks. Accursed racks! I never seem to get there when they have an unopened case.1 point

Some people just don't like to reveal too much about themselves, their hunting grounds, etc, and I can understand that. I have frequently posted what I saw at the Concord NC Lego store... I figured... if someone wants to know if there's, say, a Ferris Wheel at that store, they can always just call and ask. But having a general idea of what's available at different stores around the country (and what is not) is always interesting to know.1 point

I always find the TRU staff very good down here when it is quiet, when they are busy people like us are a nuisance. They know we are investing or reselling most of the time as they get to know your face etc etc. I may have a go at this tomorrow first thing when the store opens. Thanks for all the info 'TheGallows'1 point

In case anyone does do this spending ~$800 will get you the max trade in value of points, which is 35,000 for $100 off an order, plus 3.5% cash back ~$25. Comes out to around 15% off. They do have Wall E, bigbang and ecto-1.1 point

I'm up to 20, I keep ordering 5 at a time, I don't think they will do a ban for a $9 set. I can always use the Halloween party give away story1 point

I never mentioned it, but thanks for posting that. I think when the forum upgrade happened, it moved from wherever it was hiding before, to the Filter Results by Forum tab you posted. That must be what I'm looking for.1 point

Think of air space inside the box as your enemy when packing. The less movement laterally and more support you give the outer box the more resistant it will become to damage. "Pancaked" boxes are always due to a lack of contents and support within the box. A tightly fit modular in the right size outer box will fair better than one in an over sized box swimming in air pillows. (I'm talking about YOU Target!) Because you are dealing with several different sized LEGO boxes you might consider vertical packing of the items. For flat packing I've used a piece of cardboard on top of a large set like 10228 to help span the load of smaller sets packed on top.1 point

I once ordered from TRU.com series; they sent individual packages 1 at a time---talk about crazy. But then again, was set with envelopes for quite a while1 point

Okay so just have the emperor say "Have you eliminated the padawans?" and then "Yes, my master." I think Lucas got criticized for being too kid-oriented with the first two prequels so he overdid the violence in the third.1 point

Part of me thinks you should have waited for your next sale and looked to see if he sold it too.. Then ship the wrong one and let him deal with it. Reporting each one and blocking is a nice touch though.1 point

I shipped out two smaller items in the past week that had slight issues. One person was great to deal with, one is a potential fruitcake - see if you can guess which buyer is which. 1 - A new in sealed box arrived and was missing a piece. The buyer asked about the missing piece and I explained that I would ship one if I had it and it turns out that I did. 2 - A used set was missing a piece, probably due to a packing error. The buyer asked about the missing piece and explained that if I didn't resolve it then I would receive neutral feedback. Sigh, at least give me a chance to correct it before you threaten to hold my feedback hostage.1 point
