just finished building 7962, and to tell you the truth, im not sure why this set doesnt appreciate in value more because it just looks bad ass! the build was great and the outcome even better ... TLG really did a good job in replicating the likeness to the movie ... A+8 points

List from 2016 rumors on hothbricks 40122 Trick or Treat 40123 Thanksgiving Feast 40124 Winter Fun 40125 Santa's Visit 40138 Christmas Train 40139 Gingerbread House 40140 Flower Wagon 40141 Bricktober Hotel 40142 Bricktober Train Station 40143 Bricktober Bakery 40144 Bricktober Toys R Us Store Most are predictable, but Christmas Train 40138 and Gingerbread House 40139 are Interesting. Given the numbering these could be mini builds (4013X), though that would put the christmas train in Jan?, or promo polys (like 40140) and the mini builds are only planed through dec? Also more bricktober mini modulars.7 points

That's right. Raptors bite off the arm that feeds them. or arm wrestles with Satan donned in a white robe. At least I know now that Raptors are on the side of the Righteous. This gives a new definition to Rapture escape that someone posted the other day.4 points

It's been a busy week. We've built all the Scooby Doo sets, 6036 Carnage Shield Sky Attack, 76037 - Rhino and Sandman Supervillain Team-Up, 6867 - Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape, and 6869 - Quinjet's Aerial Battle. Yes, we're opening retired sets and I still need to build Spidey-Cycle to have a NIck Fury. I'm totally blown-away by how small the new Quinjet is in comparison to the old one. 6869 is a great build and I guess it's underrated, since it's growth was stunted by the new inferior Quinjet.3 points

2 of my SSDs are dented similar to that. 3 others are absolutely trashed courtesy of Walmart. The inner boxes are still sealed, albeit dented. The outer box looks like it went through a wood chipper. I am SO glad I kept them all.2 points

I'm going to blame it on mobile, I guess. I swear there were only two figures listed as being 5x on the list you guys posted in the last page of this thread. But, now that I'm on desktop, I see three. I don't believe that was Vodka that I put in my OJ this morning, either.2 points

This is a really cool take on the hulk buster suit. I love the scale of it and as I've said before I'm a sucker for any set that has a mech in it. Looks like a really cool build. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/1037772 points

Mixels Series 5 Klinkers. These fellas remind me of a time before now where we just call it all "steampunk" but instead something like 'clock tech' due to the gears, axles, and gyros similar to that of an old clock and no steam involved. Anyway I found the choice in colors & parts perfect and the character designs interesting & expressive. Overall my personal favorite from the group is easily Gox between the pieces included and the range of motion achievable. (Right now he is having a little head scratching moment pondering about something whatever that may be.) Jinky has a great frame but the gaping mouth large enough to drive a truck through can be distracting and I'm not a fan of his hands (or at least the process of trying to get those robo arms onto the ends of the exhaust pipes). Finally Kamzo is a nicely stout character with very simple but effectively expressive eyes. His right arm claw is very cool even though it cannot actually grab onto anything. I haven't built these Klinkers' Max form but I must say it could be the first I would be willing to. In other events, I took my complete set of Series 4 Infernites found on clearance at the same time as Magnifo and made a mini mixel mech from each of them. Jeeze, and I thought building the big ones were limiting. Haha. Well they turned out ....interesting to say the least. Meltus became a kind of fat little droid, Flamzer is some big blaster cannon, while Burnard came out pretty good like some versatile walking turret. At this size they aren't flexible by any stretch but they only need to look the part not move the part. Up next are the Frosticons and Lixers of Series 5.2 points

I was at the lego store last Tuesday and they had a full restock of the JW line all 29R5 except the RE they were still 07R5. It did take some will power to walk away from the fresh stack.2 points

Ask the folks in the Grand Emporium, Haunted House, or Super Star Destroyer thread if they regret returning sets when it was in and out of stock around this time last year. I have a couple DS that are in similar shape, if not much worse. I am holding onto them. You never know when "last call" at the bar will be.1 point

I'm not even covert about it. If a buyer asks me for a slightly lower price, I tell them that I can sell it elsewhere (BC in this case) I have had emails cancelled from ebay due to putting an email address in it, so I know you can't do that anymore, but it seems redirecting them to Brick Classifieds has not been caught onto yet. If they ban me, whatever, I'll move my stuff over to Amazon. They might be losing 1 in 50 of my sales, it's a small percentage.1 point

I got a Scooby Mansion today from K-Mart online. FWIW, it's a 'hot buy' and coupons still worked on it. I just nabbed a $10 back on $50 from the SYW portal. Nothing too fancy. Paired with $7 surprise, and $16 banked points, & Raise discount, my buy-in was $65 with $10 back in points. It worked out around 27% off, which I'm good with.1 point

The other thing I do is add multiple wanted lists in BL. So lets say I'm searching my primary wanted list to complete a set. if I find a store that has what I need, I'll check my secondary wanted lists before I check out to see if they have anything I want, so I can minimize getting separate shipping charges on separate orders. And if you've never tried it, try using the Brick Wizard (thebrickwizard.com). It can take your BrickStock wanted list, and find you the best combination of stores to get the lowest price for everything on your list. Works best if you have <20 items you need. Otherwise the computations get astronomical.1 point

This one is creeping into my "regrets" list. I didn't start participating here until after B-Wing discount day. B-Wing is my all-time favorite Star Wars ship. Heck, my license plate was "BWING" for years. I have the current B-Wing, but wish I would have picked up just one of these at $99 for myself.1 point

I had a buyer send the obligatory "can you sell to me for $xx and I'll pay right away?" emails awhile back. I ignored like I normally do and then they paid full price 2 days later. Helped it was a relatively rare item on ebay but I chuckled nonetheless.1 point

Maybe with a Disney logo! I don´t think that the packaging determines the longevity of the product - all these sets apart from Sea Cow are going to have more production runs and Lego has maybe just phased in new box art on a general scale.1 point

Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion set: build took about 1.5 hours and was enjoyable. The two things I would change would be: have a brick built purple tower top instead of the large molded piece and also have the set aligned straight instead of angled in on both sides. Or have it angled on the green house side and the other two building connected flush instead of the way they did. Figures are great and vampire looks much better in person and not as child like as I thought the photos showed. The Haunted Lighthouse is still my favorite set thus far but this is a very close second.1 point

I'd be interested in what Mos_Eisley thinks about the set and just go with whatever his gut feeling is. If I'd have put 20k in the last 2 years in whatever Mos_Eisley's said I know I'd be up 20k1 point

At Brickworld, there was a vendor selling LED lights that had the Ferris Wheel lit up. It made an incredible set even better. The woman at the counter said they were working on a light kit that would work specifically with the Ferris Wheel that would be ready for release in roughly 6 months. Can't wait for this...1 point
