  1. Lucky I looked at this box on shelf back when I wasn't collecting star wars (still not collecting star wars) but after seeing the new tie fighter. I have the urge to get that set, this set, and the first ucs x wing which I think looks better and ucs yoda. Just cant seem to find a deal worth while on this set sadly. But good find mate anyhow bought a few sets 10247 Ferris wheel 10241 Triple E 10234 Sydney Opera House (Bought this a while back let it set at the po box for a few months) UCS Tumbler All of the speed champion sets Ghost Buster ecto 1 (I thought I bought this one I checked on brickset and brickpicker and it said I had one looked through my entire house didnt find so bought another one :/ ) Exo Suit (surprisingly nice set after I built it I liked and actually displayed it, I really bought just because it was cuusoo) 10196 Grand Carousel (All I can say is finally) (Paid $700 US its used with box and instructions didnt think I could find it for any cheaper and gave in) now all i need is statue of liberty :L (When I started look at this set it was $500 Used and $1000 NEW what happened (rhetorical question))

  4. I got another package from TRU yesterday with 13 Rocket Raccoon polybags instead of the Dinos. It could have been worse, but it should have been better.

  8. I welcome this. It gives us small timers a chance to swim with the big fish. Of course, the truly dedicated will get their hoard regardless of being able to buy through SAH.

  11. Bought 75900 Scooby Doo Mummy Museum Mystery and 75901 Scooby Doo Mystery Plane Adventures at Comic Con. I couldn't resist them, even at full price. Just leaves the two most expensive sets for me to buy, which I'll wait until I can get it on a some sort of discount.

  12. I was really bummed when they said no new trailer. But that behind the scenes stuff makes up for it. I'm all in, just seeing how much they are doing non-CGI, I am pumped. Couple of minor spoilerish stuff in there but nothing too serious. Seeing Han, Rey, Finn in the Falcon though? Man.

  13. sold some bulk lego and minifigures out of the trunk of my car (literally), at Target, if I had a TRU in my town I could have done even better

  14. Here is the part.. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=53070 Only came with one set... http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=8811-1 In the future, search for the part # on the piece (it's printed very small near the LEGO word) and enter it into the Bricklink search. It usually finds the piece... I found it by browsing the Catalog->Parts->Bionicle piece listing.

  18. Yeah $38 profit is pretty decent, especially for a 1st sale. As someone else mentioned I would NEVER deliver an item personally. You try to be nice to people but they can still hit you with a not delivered case and then you're out the set and the money.

  19. Another Zombie that I'll have to acquire. Looks like an ok book as well. Hope they have a decent availability.

  20. That looks great! The Alien itself is awesome but the way the blood is done really makes it, that drip and pool effect is brilliant.

  21. That's good money. My first 30 ebay sales rarely touched US$20 profit... and many were under $1!

  23. You can, but not recommended. Paying for shipping, the tracking numbers, etc... all that is evidence that you delivered the item. You could meet him in person, and give it to him (along with a shipping credit)... maybe even get his signature on a receipt... but he can still go home and report to ebay that you never delivered the item. Best to stick with the program... especially if you are just starting out.

  24. I believe so. I forgot to check the tag. They had two others, but i forgot to photograph them. I will tomorrow. I really liked that one. It was a bit steampunky. I do remember that it said Feb 2016 release date.

  26. To help our fellow European BPer friends out, can you share a few things about your buying habits at SAH? Did you just barely go over the limits or was it something severe like ordering 12 Pet Shops in a single order? I think we're all wondering how strict Lego is being during this recent wave of bans.

  28. $95 for a Sith Infiltrator ? I can put that money towards better sets Also, the buildable Grievous is $35, Vader $30, Obi Wan $25, and the rest $20. Obi Wan's cape costs $5, more than a CMF pack

  31. I sold my big craigslist lot I posted about here http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/14528-nice-cl-lot-with-table-in-nc/ I kept the Black Pearl, Indy 7620, Star Wars 7670, and Marvel Lokis Escape. Sold the rest for what I paid originally ($400) and got another $20 for the table. Could have done better piecing it all out but went for the quick flip. Got a free Black pearl to build this weekend and some pizza money, not too shabby.

  33. I'm tempted to actually drive to the LEGO store (~2 hrs) with my son to purchase this day 1. He loves Ninjago and this would be a fun experience / memory for the both of us. I'm not a Ninjago fan but this might win me over. A great marketing and strategic move by TLG IMO.

  34. so as with the previous case i went magnum PI on this mofo and finished the file to hand off to the cops today. when the officer rolled up and got all the info he needed (neatly typed up with videos and pictures attached) he proceeded to enter the stuff into his computer in the cruiser. as he was finishing up the unbelievable happened. crackhead walks by right behind the cop car wearing the same shorts and flipflops. the cop didnt see him but i did trough the cams. omitting all the juicy details of the swarm of cruisers at the crackheads house (six doors down from mine) he was in custody in less than 5 minutes after i received the case #. this must be some kind of record. though im not sure if he actually lives there or just went there to hide, but now im a little worried about some kind of retaliation. I guess ill have to keep the "camera" loaded by my bed side...

  35. As long as the product itself is well packaged and arrives in good condition I doubt anyone really cares about the shipping box. Is it more "professional" to use a new, fresh, box ? Sure. But again as long as adequately pack your set , you should be fine

  36. Today I found only one set, (not as many as LabFreak7) but I been looking for it for quite a while.... $150.00 100% complete, all minifigures, box and manuals.... Behold !!! My precious !!

  38. Clutchers Field by Steven Schapansky (@Legopolis). I know him as host of Radio Free Skaro, a big Doctor Who podcast. But he's also quite the AFOL'er. He's spoken of his 10179 before. I also secretly believe he's a member of this site. Saw this on his Twitter page. It's outstanding.

  39. Lol, this never ceases to amaze me... Had a Chima set new and unopened listed for $20 on a local Facebook group (about 400 pieces). No bites. I had a small stack of four of them. Opened two of them and dumped the Lego in a gallon bag and listed it again on Facebook group. Sold for $60. "Less than 8 cents a piece!

  43. built 40158 Pirates chess set today. I made a small mod since I did not like the "fix" LEGO used to correct their error about the wrong color orientation to the board. Their fix was to simply rotate the grid pieces by 90 degrees but I felt like that ruined the clean edge line the designer originally intented so I kept the original brick placements but swapped the colors myself. I have included a photo to help illustrate.
