Ordered the SeaCow today - with gift cards and eBay rewards redeemed paid just over $175 for. I am sure there are better deals to get this but overall I am really stoked!3 points

Scooby stuff is at the Lego booth at Comic Con. It is small - only 301 pieces. I'm told that LEGOLAND California had it in stock too. It can't be far behind from stores. PS - my wife sucks. She saw it, grabbed it from my hands, and declared it "hers"3 points

Photos from the Dimensions demo area. It was a small hotel ballroom. They had about 10 stations set up where you play different levels. There was someone working each station to help you figure things out. They had most of the add-on packs on display (didn't see Joker or Harley). They had an area set up where you could pre-order the game, and if you did, you got a free t-shirt (which was pretty cool, and very hard to resist). There was a small coffee/soda bar. They had the different commercials/shorts running on a big screen up front. And then they had these different "bubbles" set up with physical models of the different realms from the game. Most notably, to me, were a Hill Valley set up, with a Chima warrior driving the Mystery Machine through the thunder storm and crossing the lighting line to get back to the future. The Yellow Brick Road with Oz, and, biggest of all to me, was the Kwik-E-Mart, with a minifigure scale Tardis in front! Enjoy the pics.3 points

I got a new cashier today, who didn't select the "Use TRU CC" option (so only 20% off and no extra 10%). She called over one of the regular cashiers to void it, who was like "you don't know what to do for him??" and told her how I always come in on Thursdays, always get LEGO, and always put $1 or $5 on the TRU card. I need a disguise, my cover's been blown.3 points

I sold my big craigslist lot I posted about here http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/14528-nice-cl-lot-with-table-in-nc/ I kept the Black Pearl, Indy 7620, Star Wars 7670, and Marvel Lokis Escape. Sold the rest for what I paid originally ($400) and got another $20 for the table. Could have done better piecing it all out but went for the quick flip. Got a free Black pearl to build this weekend and some pizza money, not too shabby.2 points

Wasn't directed at you... It doesn't bother me when someone says something like "just don't see the point for $10-$15" and it's clear they're just taking a rough guess (personal calculator or not... I just do those calcs in my head ;)). Lots of us do it... rather it's when people try to get all detailed down to the last $ on what someone else is making. Who cares what they're making, we don't really know. On the other hand, if you're going to QFLL or SQFLL or WTFCATKQFLL (no, I can't tell you what that means ;)) then you just need to know what you're comfortable with and obviously you thought about it for yourself (something that often doesn't happen around here, and no that shot wasn't directed at @thoroakenfelder because he did think for himself). @thoroakenfelder all I'm really saying is debating down to the finer details how much someone makes on a QFLL is pointless.2 points
-
That was kind of my point... these "how much did they make" games are pointless. If someone wants to QFLL, let's just trust that a) they know what they're doing, b ) they're satisfied with the potential profit or c) they have no idea what they're doing and who cares if they don't.2 points

Those are Star Wars trees. They carry a heavy markup no matter what kind of wood, err plastic, they're made from!2 points

Looks like they're tightening ship ahead of the SW buying craze. It also seems to signal the swan song for EW... now imagine those little dudes singing that swan song. "Yub nub eee chop yub nub ah toe meet..."2 points

Two more orders of Gallimimus trap polys arrived today... and they were actually Gallimimus trap polys. I was actually a little disappointed because the lottery has been fun.1 point

They have been available for much longer than that over here - likely to be an issue about pricing or restocking.1 point

I just bought one at $200 with free shipping. I don't see it falling much lower than that. I waited on Batman from last year and it cost me. These little box sets are wonderful collectibles. I have them all, so now I am forced to buy them. For people like myself who buy them second hand, they are LONG TERM investments. I am hoping that one day they will become truly valuable, but we are talking years here...as in more than five IMO.1 point

I think the optimum time for these is about 2 weeks from now.1 point

This set is still awesome. Well worth having at least 2 of them. 1 for yourself, and 1 for future investment. I think the risk is worth it.1 point

Best lunch hour ever.. Got a GE, FB, f1 Ferrari, 4x4 extreme off-roader, mind storms nxt 2.0, and a few smaller technic vehicles like an incomplete 8263. All used lot- for $120 There was an estate sale near my job, and although I thought everything worth buying would be gone in the first 10 minutes/ to my surprise this stuff was still there. Now I always read posts like this with a little jealousy, since I am rarely this lucky, but it also is cool to find out what others are encountering out there- so this was my little story. All the sets were already built so this should be a relatively easy flip.1 point

My favorite line was when Luke didn't recognize the hologram of Anakin. "You didn't look like that five minutes ago." I probably misinterpreted the joke but I took it as a subtle dig on Lucas for messing with the original version.1 point

Thought I found my deal of the year last week on Kijiji with my SEALED Haunted House, Town hall, Fire brigade, and Pet Shop for $750.00 Today's find on Kijiji may have topped that: 1) UCS Imperial Star Destroyer 10030 2) USC Blockade Runner 10019 3) Jabba's Sail barge 6210 All 3 sets were built and 100% complete with near perfect condition instructions. Asking price was $440 for all. He accepted $350! Didn't think these kind of deals existed and yet I found 2 great finds in one week!1 point
