Plenty of times on the forum, we see members pointing out good and bad deals from Craigslist listings. Recently I started to spend a little more time on the site to see what is going on. Overall I find some pretty cool finds from time to time. All aren't in my area, but I do like to look and see what is around. I put together a simple feature that will allow you to select several Craigslist regions and be able to look at all of them at the same time. You can also filter the listings by region easily to make it a little easier to see what is available in your area. This is a work in progress, but here are some features that I will be adding to it real soon: Keyword alerts New posts in your selected region alerts A page to view all the available LEGO listings in ALL areas so you can get a quick glance at everything that is going on across Craigslist Need to add pagination for those that are looking for a lot of areas and it downloads a lot of listings. I will have a lot of these features in by tomorrow, I just wanted to get some eyes on it and to see how it does. Please try out the feature and see how it works for you. You will first be asked to select the regions you want to monitor, then you can view those listings. The listings are updated frequently, so you will be able to see updates throughout the day. http://www.brickpicker.com/craigslist/3 points

Pairing the Batcave with the Funhouse will bring $200 at the end of the year. Considering the buy-in most had with these sets, it will be almost a double-up deal after fees (and shipping)1 point

True. I just think when ep 7 is released there are SW fans who want to own an advanced (UCS) Lego X-Wing and won't care about the color or design diffs. They will just want an X- Wing.1 point

There are not much bargain to be had at Legoland but you can purchase these retired sets e.g. 3185 Summer Riding Camp @ £89.99 (RRP) 40118-1: Buildable Brick Box 2x2 @£14.99 (more than RRP) 850581-1: Friends Brick Calendar@£14.99 (also more than RRP) LOTR sets are discounted by 20% (they are located in the last chance marketplace 1st floor in the star wars building) As mentioned before, polybags @£2.99 each 30197 Snowman 30280 The Piece of Resistance You can also buy this non-retired set 850702-1: Classic Picture Frame at £7.99 each (RRP £10.49) Note: If you have an annual pass (or upgrade to one on the day), then you get a 10% discount on those prices and applies to all sets except "Exclusives" and "Hard to find" sets. They also seem to have (no annual pass discount on this) 10245-1: Santa's Workshop @£59.99 (RRP) You can always ask for specific sets at the information counter in "The Big Shop" and they will let you know if they have it in stock. They had set 10223 Kingdom Joust and 10235 Winter Village Market last time I asked. Hope this is useful. Have a great day at Legoland.1 point

If I was just starting out, the Tower Bridge would be in my top 3 choices for investment purposes if I was looking to invest that money in the next 30 days. Red Five and Pet Shop would also make the list. This month you can get a free Winter Soldier polybag if you buy through LEGO Shop at Home. That's a good collectors item that you can either sell or hold for long-term.1 point

I can only speak from personal experience, as both a relatively new AFOL and investor. I recently bought and built the UCS TIE Fighter, and my immediate thought afterward was, "I need an X-Wing to balance this thing off." So I bought one back on May the 4th. In general, I think that the hype surrounding Star Wars leading up to The Force Awakens is going to be like nothing we've ever seen before. This is a sequel to a 1983 movie that three generations of movie-goers and collectors have been waiting for. I think the next sets will sell well, but I think a lot of new collectors, who missed out on some of the OT sets will be willing to pay a pretty penny to get some of the older UCS sets. I know there is a new X-Wing set coming out in the fall (Poe Dameron's) but the new X-Wings are a slightly different model, and it won't be a UCS set. I thin the R5 is a good set, overall, but like many have stated before the biggest drawback is that stupid windshield sticker. I even knew about how difficult it was to apply going into it, and I still couldn't get it quite right and it looks like junk. Also, how there was no Luke figure included in the set is an oversight on par with the guy who thought an unprotected ventilation shaft on the first Death Star was a good idea. Other than that, I think it's a great set.1 point

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. My husband didn't get any Lego sets this year, but he got some Star Wars die cast vehicles and a Boba Fett stein from Star Wars Weekends at Disney World. And an AT-AT tee shirt. Sensing a theme here?1 point

no they do not stock these at walmart stores. They do sometimes ship large sets like that with a label slapped on. Most try to buy in case packs when buying the larger sets to try and get them shipped in a box. Some members refuse to buy large sets from walmart for this reason.1 point

Lego Shuttle Expedition. A very strange build experience. I took this one on a business trip and quickly realized that the bags were not numbered. I scoured my room for ANYTHING to sort the colors in to, the ice cup (did you know there is the cup and then also a liner cup? Bonus!), the tray for the ice cup, the coffee pot tray, the ice cup liner... the build itself is very different and jumps around a bit to keep the techniques fresh. The landing gear was tedious but works nicely. The bay of mine for some reason does not open and close smoothly, you kind of have to manipulate the edges a bit, but it's mostly for display anyways. I don't get how both astronauts are supposed to fit in the cockpit with the roof closed so if any of you can explain that one to me... Stickers were scary, mainly because they are transparent and fingerprints came in to play. I think they came out alright though and this set is not going away any time soon. End result is great. New conversation piece for the work desk and can fiddle with it while on long meeting calls! Trying to convince my son that this was an actual space ship. He is trying to figure out where the lasers are!1 point

Condone this, and can't stress this enough for new resellers. I think thats where a lot of the newbies go wrong with listing big exclusives first with no or little rep. Part out or sell minifigures till you built a solid rep and work your way up.1 point

I lied to myself for years about the prequels. I had an intervention, sought therapy, and finally accepted reality. They are abysmal.1 point

I don't like this. No mention of hotcakes or TRU parking lot means your new strategy has some serious flaws. Back on topic: I think the best thing that UG has going for it is that it is a really nice set. Great build and great colors with a nice assortment of minifigures and some great detail. In the end I think that is what will help this set rise and end up being a very solid investment.1 point

Yes. This makes all the difference in the world. Great set that will make some nice gains given some time. But as we know, if a set doesn't triple in value 3 months after EOL, it's a real terd.1 point
