Well first you ask the kids in the store if you can buy theirs, then when that doesn't pan out you go find the 14-16 year old kids smoking in the parking lot and give them $5 each to go in for the build. You can only do that if you've successfully ran & sold a multimillion dollar company though... otherwise it's sketchy ethically speaking.

Hello all! I am the owner (Ralph Pitcher) of the displays listed. I would like to thank Ed for putting this listing together for me! He has been a great customer over the years! As for shipping we have shipped alot of these. To be honest we rarely have a issue. When there is a issue its usually a piece that comes apart inside. All of these are hand assembled so they end up not all being glued the same. As far as space currently we have about 95 skids which we could combine to around 75. Thats roughly 3x 53 ft trailers Figure each trailer is roughly 530sqft so that means you would need about 1600sqft if I am doing the math right? First off if I am responding slow I have had a lot of interest. I apologize. However I have decided to offer 5 of the Vader displays for an additional $4500 to who ever buys this lot. Further more if you only want the Legos thats fine... Price is the same but you only need two 53ft semis (Which ship almost anywhere for $1500ea. All the small Lego displays would fit in one 53ft trailer (589/24 Skids). The other 315 (25 Skids)I am sure would fit in other truck. I need to confirm how much space would be left over. I also have alot of parts from these displays which we sell regularly available to the buyer as well.

Lego is the most powerful toy brand in the world... They employ people specifically to design sets. The Cuusoo/Ideas was a way for them to engage the community and it's been pretty successful regardless of the sizing of the models produced. Lego is also out to make money. We might think some of those big sets are cool but Lego knows that just because 10k people voted for the firehouse for example, it's highly unlikely that more that a certain percentage would fork over that much cash... Way less risk and way more people will buy the small sets.

41053 Cinderella's Dream Carriage (used, no box and manual), old Christmas promo set 40083 (new sealed) and Parisian Restaurant (used with box and manual) all for $109. gonna build and see if all complete. But look thought the box seems like every pieces are there.

I personally like the last half of Attack of the Clones, and can tolerate most of Revenge of the Sith. I actually enjoyed seeing Yoda fight Christoper Lee, and almost the entire battle of Geonosis. The prequels aren't horrendous, but they are not "legendary". The CGI in the Geonosis sequence was very well done. Right now it's just "in vogue" to rip and rant about CGI, but I think they pulled off something great in that sequence. I still think that's one of the best battle action sequence ever done.

I think it makes sense that the prequel sets will be the ones to get hurt, and everything else will do fine. Every SW fan I know, including myself, does not actually consider the prequels to be SW movies. Seriously. We're always quoting lines from the OT, but the prequels might as well not exist. They are pure garbage. Goofy battle droids running around saying 'Roger, Roger'. A talking salamander with a speech impediment. Argh.

My kid wants 75093 SW Final Duel for his birthday next week. I've noticed it's disappearing from stores so I picked one up at Walmart a couple days ago at full price ($79 + tax) just in case I could do no better. Then today... I'm driving by the only TRU in town (the one that NEVER stacks coupons, or partial pays on Thursdays or anything) and thought, "Let's just check it out... maybe I'll use the 25% off coupon...). There was just the one sales person working up front... no checkout lines open... had to pay at the service desk. I took my 75093 to the desk ($84.99 + tax)... She: "Using your TRU credit card today?" Me: "Yes I am!" She: "OK... you saved 10%... thats $76.49 plus tax..." Me: "Wait a minute... can I use this coupon on my phone... the barcode that says "Bold Arrow" above it?" She: "Sure!... OK that's $57.37 plus tax... just swipe your credit card there..." Me: <swipe> ... partial pay $10... "I'd like to use this gift card on my phone, too..." (-14% more) She: "No problem!"... <scan, click, click>... "Thank you for shopping today!" So I'm out the door paying $50.65 plus tax. ... if I only had the balls to tack on the $5 off coupon, I could change my name to "exciter2"

A long time acquaintance of mine, a Mr. Ralph Pitcher from Firebuy.com, has come to me with a tremendous offer. Ralph owns an equipment liquidating company which was hired by Target to remove store displays from over 1500 Target stores from across the US. These displays included many of the LEGO and toy displays you see in the toy isles of your local Target. He sold thousands of these displays over the past 4-5 years, many to me. LOL. He is a first class operator and is looking to sell his remaining inventory in one or two large transactions. Ralph told me it would cost about $1500 to ship one container to California, so keep that in mind. He is looking to unload these quickly (before July 1,2015), so it's possible Ralph could work a deal with any potential buyer(s). His warehouse is located in Ohio. i would advise against selling 10228s. this set was not produced for long and it's still very unique among exclusive sets.

I have done quite a few. I guess my best advice would be to talk to the folks running it. I am sure you could be sneaky and grab an extra of each piece, but i think it would be better to simply ask nicely and see if you could build one for yourself. They get pretty crowded and the line can be long, so it will be best to get there early - but I haven't seen them run out (but then again, I usually get there early).

This would be my next best scenario to one buyer. I don't want to have to keep touching these. Every time I move them touch them it costs money. Unfortunately our people won't work for Legos:) By selling as a lot I am protecting the buyer. No one else had this deal so you set the price for the most part. I would think buyers can appreciate that. I would also include the website and domain name Toysondisplay.com. To the buyer of the whole lot. I may even have a skid or two of shipping boxes we use for these displays. Kind of a business in a box.

Yes, they are in Ohio. Ralph said he would break it up into smaller lots, but he is moving into a new warehouse and these need to be cleared out by July 1, so time is of the essence. If a team of members want to put together a plan to unload all the displays at one time that would be picked up, I'm sure he would consider it.

Condone this, and can't stress this enough for new resellers. I think thats where a lot of the newbies go wrong with listing big exclusives first with no or little rep. Part out or sell minifigures till you built a solid rep and work your way up.

The Craigslist and Shopgoodwill gods have been shining on me this month. In the last week or two on CL I purchased Hogwarts Castle 4842 for $40, 98% complete with instructions, probably needs about $5-$10 worth of bricklink to make 100% and an open box w/ sealed bags Black Pearl for $90 along with a box of other Pirates of the Caribbean that appears to be most of the sets smaller than the Black Pearl for $20. Bad thing is those sets are glued and no instructions, good thing is looks like most if not all minifigs are there. I went a little deeper than I wanted to ($130) on a Shopgoodwill 30 pound lot that was showing some decent Star Wars, maybe a dozen minifigs and some plates. After a cursory dig I am at 50 minifigures, over half of which are Star Wars and the lot is very clean, probably no cleaning needed.

Not that hard. Ralph has sold more than 4000 displays over the past 3 or 4 years. Once you get a system of packaging and shipping down, it is easier than you think.

​These days, anything is possible. I think we're early on EV, though, at least until it goes limit 2 at LEGO Shop at Home. I have only one, bought at 20% off, and will probably pass on the set at MSRP. It's just a lousy deal, and I'm not convinced that AFOL's love ewoks. They do love jawas, though, so SC is on my list. If nothing else, I can motorize one of them with power functions and post youtube videos of my cats riding around on it. Instant fame and riches...

76040 Brainiac Attack Rare is it that I put together a set I bought two days ago. But, you've got understand - as a 42 year old man, who has always loved Superman , this set is the bomb. It's got Brainiac with an awesome looking ship. In person, this thing looks menacing. Then you have Superman. And more importantly to me, Supergirl. Supergirl! I never thought I see her as a mini figure. And add Martian Manhunter to the mix - another character I've loved forever. This set is pure gold to me. Can you tell I read a lot of Silver Age DC Comics when I was a wee lad? Anyway, a winner all the way around in my book. Tough to get a discount on this, as it's a Target exclusive. I'm thinking this standing next to the Lex Luthor Power Armor is going to look pretty cool.

Today I had a chance to sit back and put together a couple of sets from a lot I bought recently, 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty and 7623 Indiana Jones Temple Escape. Enjoyed building the ship, although it is very similar to the current Brick Bounty set. The Temple Escape recreates the scene from the movie well, but lacks the WOW factor for me...

​I thought they'd keep the Delorean around because this year is the 30th anniversary of BttF and it's the year that Marty travels to in BttF II. I doubt the new GB movie will have any effect on the duration of the Ecto's license.

The most stupid Ideas set ever... I cannot understand who can vote for such set, if there is a lot of perfect custom sets made by fans... The Ideas is the only one opportunity to have lego sets which AFOLs are dreaming on, and we waste this opportunity by such simply set, which can everybody build from standard bricks. The Ideas is perfect opportunity to make licenced things, which dont have their own serie within standard lego sets, as Ghostbusters. There is a lot of perfect movies and characters, which could be great as lego sets, and which dont have chance to be a standard set. I cannot understand why people vote for Birds, Labyrinth, etc, which can be easy build based on custom instructions from bricklink. But nobody can build sets like Ghostbusters without figures and special parts.

Hello everyone, been lurking for about a week now just reading posts and enjoying the community, but only made one post so far. I live in the Midwest (Ohio) US, and I'm a 32 year old Software Developer. I've been playing with legos since I was a child, and currently have two children that are also lego enthusiasts. My 9 year old daughter loves the Friends sets and has been eyeing the Elves sets lately. My son is 5 and he seems to be drawn to the City sets, especially the ones with police in them, but his favorite right now is the cargo truck (60020).
