  7. All this has happened before, and all this will happen again. - Battlestar Galactica On this discussion the above is applicable.
  8. What is gained, in terms of story, by watching the first three? Nothing, IMO, and you get to avoid Hayden Christensen by not watching them.
  9. I found a lone series 13 cmf at my local target and when I smooshed it I found out it was the unicorn girl
  10. We should just ignore any possible signs of retirement and buy whatever we want. Sold out everywhere? Who cares, that happened before. Limit raised or dropped at S&H? That means nothing. TOOS? That happened all the time with other sets. Production codes from more than a year ago? We can't be really sure what those codes mean. They're pointless anyway. If you like any set as an investment, buy some. Period.
  11. Sorry, not allowed to tell you - it is exclusive
  12. I can't figure it out either. The IS is by far one of the most elegant and beautiful ships SW ships to display in the form of Lego Set. It just looks epic!
  13. New 7751 Ashoka's Starfighter for $99.90 off eBay.
  14. What I truly don't understand is 10225 besting 10212 in price / MSRP. 10227, sure, the B-Wing is kinda weird. But the Imperial Shuttle is pure elegance. I think this is anti-Imperial bias at work, and the Justice department should look into it. What I will say for 10227, is it's far truer to the look of the 'real thing' than 10225 is. I can't make myself like that blocky, pixelated R2 sculpture, no matter how fast my 15 sets appreciate.
  15. Watch out, those bricks hurt, especially on your back.
  16. Like stated above, Sandcrawler all the way if you have $300. It's a great build.
  17. So it's been almost 3 months since this was labelled as Retiring Soon and it's still in stock in North America. I wonder if they'll discount it. I'm a buyer at 50% off
  18. I'm all about that way. 4, 5, 1-3, 6. 1-3 are dreadful to get through for many including myself.
  19. I started to watch Episode I with my son, but found he was a little too young...as he constantly asked "Where is Darth Vader, Where is Darth Vader?" after every scene. My response was "Buddy, Darth Vader is NOT in every scene of all the movies." I then got up off the couch and replaced Episode I with IV and the questions basically stopped...haha In hindsight Episode IV seemed to work better...IMO

LEGO + Video Games + Dr. Who ? I have not seen an Orc so excited in my life The TARDIS doors better be printed pieces
  21. Took the family to NYC for Mother's Day, and we swung by the Lego Store while we were there. There was an ignored pile of clearance items off to one side. I was surprised to see (and grabbed) 2x 60064 Arctic Supply Planes for $13.48 each (reg $49.99). Also grabbed a bunch of "I Love NY" Lego Statue of Liberty magnets while I was there.

  23. Got get em Tex er um Raven
  24. IMHO u are correct
  25. I thought IMHO stood for in my humble opinion no?
  26. I want to throw up in my mouth. How much per unit do you figure?
  27. Batman Tumbler off TRU. Effective price was $166 with gift cards.
  28. I guess we all can agree that the chance this set will retire soon is becoming more big every day that passes. It has been around for quite some time. If you believe in this set make sure you have your desired quantity for investment. As it has been out for so long there is absolutely no excuse to have zero of these. I have my desired quantity and I am at ease. Would I like to have more? Sure. But others are more important now. Also I haven't seen a decent sale on this one the last months.
  29. You miss the point. The same stuff happened last year. We are in total uncertainty. Buy the set as you see fit but don't jump to conclusions. And about this set disappearing phenomenon. Sets disappear and come back in large, not just TB. When supply is low price is jacked up, Economics 101. Happened with Tumbler and other exclusives. And yeah I get it that TB is old. It was old 2 years ago. These sets are living their own life, it may be here in 2020.
  30. This. What kids want to sit through 20-30 minutes per movie of senatorial debates and or convoluted expositions on trade blockade, possible wars, midichlorian, blah blah blah. Or the badly acted "love story". Boring. I firmly believe had movie 1-3 been condensed to 2 movies they would have flown better
  31. combo of places on trip down to FL. Most at Legoland
  32. eBay: Trending at $369.95 shipped. $360-$380 shipped for past sales.
  33. It's in the trailer for the new season of "Rebels".
  34. Don't know what any of you lot are talking about, there were only three movies. George Lucas wouldn't have been stupid enough to do prequels to such an amazing storyline, would he, would he???
  35. I thought you were another member at first
  36. Cool! I'll try that out on some demo shots. Maybe ill post a demo one here and see what u think!
  37. as suggested above. I would do 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6
  38. Can confirm a minifig will "fit" however it's not to scale.
  39. That, and they cut the super-awesome Ewok victory song and replaced it with some world-fusion nonsense.
  40. Picked up 6 witch king for $8 each at a local Walmart store. I was able to price match their online price. thanks, john
  41. Fred Meyer has Lego BOGO 40% off this week except Friends and Elves. Was hoping they would get Jurrasic World sets but no sign of them yet. And Bellevue TRU has the Spiderman 2 Electro polybag for purchase for $3.99 had several dozen when I left this morning.
  42. I BELIEVE Tower Bridge is leaving us as we speak. Sold out at retail everywhere. (Ships in 30 days at SAH) Actually kinda shocked at how quietly it has been happening...
  43. Just built 3 of the 4 on your list. All are very good. Honestly, I think the TIE fighter is the sleeper, here. Really fun build, and looks fantastic in person.
  44. Here's one way to ruin ep 7... Actually, I'm sure these scenes will be in The Force Awakens : the Lucas cut
  45. If they made the SSD in proportion to the 10240 X-wing and new TIE fighter, it would take up a football field.
  46. It'll be $199 US by 2016.
  47. you might find one or two crazy uncles in Europe willing to pay that price and if you do, be sure to sell them everything else you have! My problem with this one is that is is STILL available in random places now at full RRP, meaning neither the horde nor general buyers are that interested. Ebay is limited to 250-270 for actual sales and those advertised at 350 are not moving. Yes, the movies and series will help but it´s not a spaceship and there are no minifigs so the collector demand versus hoarded sets is much lower than Red 5 or even EV.
  48. I guess one thing just about anyone can agree on liking is the costumed characters. They are rather endearing and unique.
