This is by far my best find yet and possibly the best ever lol but I got a used ucs millennium falcon (10179) that includes the manual, a used ucs Batmobile (7784), and a bag of Star Wars minifigs all for $400 shipped from a seller that I got my Imperial flagship from a few months back8 points

Sorry that the Classifieds were down for a bit, but it was all for good reason. I am happy to report that the Paypal issues has been fixed and that the Seller Protection information is working and enabled. There are words I would like to use right now, but it may offend some people on the forum so I will keep it to myself or share with Ed later. Now lets get on will some sales and transactions. Next up, finish the vendor currency for those shops not in the US.5 points

Just a quick note that the classifieds will be closed for a little bit while we are troubleshooting the Paypal issue with Paypal. I will keep you posted. Thank you.3 points

I can't think of a single bad call you have made and you have made some nice, more against the grain of conventional buy this buy that speak. So a big *high-five* to trekgate who I think can be brought before the jedi council. Let's see, mil falcon of course, tie fighter, you were all over r2-d2 when everyone thought "no way it gets the axe before the new movies".3 points

Detective Agency added, and it is way cool...I probably only have room for one more!3 points

Just a small piece of advice to make your experience a bit more enjoyable here, when you make it sound like you are all knowing and have it all figured out you won't fit in too well. Opinions are always welcome but the "I know this for sure" angle doesn't sit well with almost all members here who understand that it's impossible to predict what will happen in the future. Just a bit of friendly advice you can take it or leave it.2 points

i'm not sure why the sudden change of heart of the tower bridge. in the other thread about what sets could reach 5x RRP, many were saying how the tower bridge could be one of the next $2,000 sets. including myself. i love the TB. it's plenty iconic. it looks amazing on display and it has tons of pieces for a great price. what's not to love. so what if it's been out a long time. some people on here are stocking up, others are passing. if it just suddenly goes, then what... $700 prediction is extremely conservative IMO. i love this set, i'm sticking to that and i think it will do great. pass on it all you want. i'll take em. this set deserves more love.2 points

I thought this thread was for updating actual eol sets. There is a thread for discussion. Unless there is a retired product tag, it doesn't count here. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Brickpicker mobile app2 points

Too right! Although the golden age of investing in Lego already passed..still the returns it gives is better than any bank around the world. Plus I make my money working for me instead of giving them to the greedy bankers and making them even more rich off my back... The two worst things ever happened to this Planet are Banks & Religion!2 points

Don't be! There's always a chance to score a deal like that, you've just gotta be diligent like I've been and it'll pay off for you. I'll prolly post some pics of my new project so you guys can see it but I'm siked to finally be able to build it!2 points

Looks like DK Publishing has more Friends stuff coming out this year, following their Character Encyclopedia from last year. Spotted these available for pre-order on BN.com and Amz: Ultimate Factivity Collection: LEGO Friends (DK Publishing). Avail 6/2/15. A fact-packed activity book filled with LEGO1 point

I think it's been raised before but if they put the Disney logo on the front of the box that will have a huge negative impact of the new sets. Conversely, the sets they are replacing will have go through the roof. Wait for the box art.1 point

For the little lady on the go, here is a carrying case made to travel for her favorite minidolls. No pricing or listing on Shop-at-Home yet but should be up eventually. It includes two black 6x16 plates.1 point

You better believe it! Oh and it's not a sticker! I think a bunch of this year's Friends sets have one to two included. First time in decades that Lego people get a new denomination.1 point

I am really, really curious about that Private Jet and the Grand Hotel. Those sound like awesome, collectible sets! P.S. Darn you, Emma! Stop opening more kiosks!! P.P.S. TOK, your post reminds me of "Royals": But everybody's like Cristal, Maybach, diamonds on your timepiece. Jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash.1 point

I know the feeling with the modulars. My wife has all of them built except the first 3. GG, CC, and MS. I would absolutely love to own those 3 sets, but the aftermarket price is just beyond stupid for those sets. I might try to find a used set for them, but I doubt it. They are sooo awesome all linked together. I can't wait to see what the next modular is going to be.1 point

Sorry, I was talking about the flash, probably wasn't too clear. Personally, not a fan of SW, I think it's fans are starting to catch on that its being milked this way and that and will eventually move somewhere else. Regarding eBay, I'm probably one of those sellers lol, I think the market needs to be a higher equilibrium, as it seems that people are trying to price match the big box outlets and not adjusting to the requirements of the market. Depending on my buy-in, I try and make a worthwhile profit, not always possible but more often than not I do. Personally, if I was a buyer I would see eBay as a trap for the unsuspecting, hence why you have to build rapport with your customer base.1 point

Thanks for the pics! I was actually just looking at this set the other night. After building this, what are your thoughts about the idea of buying several of these sets to create a more 'normal' sized modular? Based on piece count, it appears that 4-5 sets of 31036 could get you a good count and about the same price as the DO at RRP assuming you pick them up at a typical BPer discount (20-30%). Actually, I am interested in your opinion of that idea for both mini-mods after your build.1 point

This set is, to me, surprisingly appreciating well. The cheapest on Amazon is $52, and considering 118 people are selling - If you got this on blowout for $20 like many of us did, even at $50 you'd make a little money. To be this set hitting at least 60 seems like a no brainer. I stumbled across one at a TRU today for $29.98, with Thursday discount and 20% off clearance coupon I felt good about pulling the trigger. I am very pleased at how it is performing. Similarly, they aren't lighting the world on fire yet, but Wargs being $65 and Mirkwood Spiders being around $45 are pleasant surprises. If Wargs hits $75 and Spiders hits $50 I'll be thrilled.1 point

And all done... I made a teenie modification so that the unnumbered plate could stay with the vehicle. I added a 1x3 beam into an open space under the hood and used the leftover stubby blue pins. Here is the plate attached. Finished shots... In the words of my seven year old son... "This thing is a beast."1 point

Found a new "honey hole" WM with tons of Lego on the shelves. Yes, this is while all other WMs in a 30 mile radius sit empty. Loaded up on some series 2 Mixels, clearance super heroes sets, a Creator Aviation Adventure for $40, and other sundries. I'm going to keep on eye on this store. It's kinda sorta in a rough neighborhood; I'm thinking they don't spend their money on Lego.1 point
