Yeah, but...I'm willing to bet it will be next year's as well. This set's popularity will not go away. It will be back in Feb. Will it be gone by this time next year? I'm willing to bet, yes. DC is plentiful in stock this year, and not nearly as popular. This set will be just as popular next year, and for years after.

I know what you do and how you report counterfeiters on eBay. Just wanted to say thanks. Wish more people would do this. Wish lego and eBay would do more about it. So many frozen plush fakes on eBay.

$70-$75 might be the ceiling on these for a few weeks while everyone who is thinking like you tries to flip them out, but, long term, that's more of the floor than the ceiling. If you want an apt comparison, 6177 isn't the right set to be looking at. Here is Version 1.0 of the Brickpicker LEGO Stock Tracker. There will be a few different pages and trackers released over the coming days. This one here will be one that is updated very frequently. This list here will not grow to 100 sets or anything like that. I want to keep it focused on key sets that are desirable and sought after. This tracker will also be enhanced over the next few days to setup alerts via the site as well as email and SMS. I have included the current price on the site as well as an alert icon if the current price is higher that retail MSRP. You will also see how long ago the in-stock status was checked. This page also works well on mobile devices. For now this page is open to everyone to see what it is, but as I finish the upgrades you will need to be a member and be logged into the site in order to access it. It amazes me that these tubs of bricks appreciate in value when they are essentially interchangeable with other tubs of bricks but we have seen it before. These sets do go up in value. I set my price fairly high for mine but if they don't sell its ok. I'll hold them awhile.

There is a really nice variety in these sets as well. I grew up on basic pieces. When the Space them launched, I was in Seventh Heaven because of a few translucent pieces, round pieces, radar dishes, computer control pieces and some new styled hinges. All very basic though. I made tons of creations with basic parts. Same applies here. The kids are forced to use their imagination to make something.

It's interesting to see the difference in enthusiasm for the different exclusives. R2 retired and that thread went crazy. Ditto for Town Hall. Personally I'd rate AA below TH but above R2. That's my opinion of how the sets look assembled, not a prediction of their investment potential. It's a gamble. In 2012, Advent Calendars were rampent in clearance end caps across the country. The next year (2013) was the historic shortage. I missed out, and didn't look twice when this year's calendar came out. Moral of the story - none of us know if there will be a shortage or not. Placing your money where your gut is is as good a chance as any other in this case.

This is Santa Claus. He will forever be iconic. Typically, the winter sets sell for two winter seasons, and then they are gone. I expect this one to have sold sales for years. Even if TLG decides to not retire this after next Christmas, it will still sell strong every year. There will be shortages every year, and there will still people that need to get the quick. I, too, am going "All Ed" on this set. I think this is another great set to pick up.

Sea Port is being counterfeited in its entirety (the entire set, including the box - Lego logo, if you ask for it). I would not invest in any of the smaller Super Heroes sets for this reason, unless you get them for at least 50% off retail. The counterfeiters sell them under the exact same set names and numbers, and they will be available forever at $15 each with free shipping from China. Lots of fake Iron Man minifigures and War Machine, in every color of the rainbow, are widely available at $1 per figure. This is a problem that has only been growing worse. For whatever reason, Super Heroes sets and figures are far more likely to be counterfeited than, say, Star Wars. Some collectors will want to shell out for the real thing, but lots of parents and kids will be content with cheap figures that look almost exactly the same.

I'm just here to say the Ender Dragon really needs to sell out.

I have had lots of Minecraft orders I placed coming in lots of them. This is nuts. Every batch I get every day I post and sell everything I post that day in under 12 hours. Still a few more shipments to come in. If you can find these still not the big 2 sets but farm, first night, cave and crafting box. Get them asap. Pure gold. Not double triple margins but good solid large 25-50% margins. If you turn enough of these it adds up. I could hold till closer but I'd rather have 2 birds in the hand than 4 in the bush. Now back to packing.

A majority of my business all year has been 0 or near 0 feedback buyers on eBay. There has never been any trouble, but they also don't remember to leave feedback. I think it's just parents who are tired of looking or shopping around for something that would rather pay the money online and save the trouble lol! Also, how about those barages of email questions on your products "where can I find this in store? My child really wants this." lol. I get a ton of those a day now. I guess it's to be expected as I sell more hot children's toys than I do Lego. My favorite week was when I got a shipment of 30 of a new toy a week before release in stores on accident and I was the ONLY seller on eBay. That was a fun week.

Years ago when I worked retail, we would buy products from a competitor and sell them at a loss just to have them "on the shelf." Granted, no shelves here, but maybe the same thing? Either way, a sale is a sale.

Crazy time of year! So weird when a big reseller like Toywiz.com buys out your whole stock of something in an instant. They're either drop shipping or beefing up their inventory.
