I just wrapped up another Hobbit set. My favorite part of this set is that two sections of the castle explode.7 points

My initial plan for quantity was 100 TH but eventually I realized that I only have money for 3. (Same goes for GE and PS... maybe I shouldn't aim that high in the first place ^.^ )6 points

Do me a favor. Bookmark this post and come back to it in 2 years when you start selling those TH, PS, GE, etc on eBay or any other online venues.5 points

Disagree. Drink, smoke, meet girls, meet your future best friends. Immerse yourself in the social life, youll never have this much freedom again. Abandon materialism, have fun!4 points

Another point stacking/rollover deal from KMart and it works in-store or online for store pick-up. See if your store has the Wii U version available. You may not need to sell it, since Amazon.com is offering $20 in trade-in value. From what I read on Slickdeals, you can only buy 2. Price has decreased to $48 for Xbox 360, Wii U, Wii, and 3DS versions. Some folks have the 3DS version in their Local Ads for $13. Kmart.com has Skylanders SWAP Force Starter Pack (Xbox 360, PlayStation3, Wii U, Wii, or 3DS) + $51 Shop Your Way Points for $54.99. Select free store pickup to save on shipping. Xbox 360 Now - $48 PlayStation 3 - $54.99 Wii U Now - $48 Wii Now - $48 3DS Now - $48 Includes: Skylanders SWAP Force Video Game 1 Portal of Power 3 Skylanders Figures 1 Character Collector Poster 3 Sticker Sheets with Secret Codes 3 Trading Cards Note: The number of points may vary based on account.3 points

Here is a graph I made for myself. The 12/31/14 end dates aren't actual, that is just what I plug into current sets.2 points

Yes, I rewrote that post above. Right now it should read 'it is no longer available to purchase from LEGO Shop at Home EU altough it could be a temporary thing as it could always come back' instead.2 points

The LEGO AFOL in our house wants a Mr Gold and I said no way at the current prices.... We just have too many bills to pay to justify those kinds of costs for a teeny tiny minifig. I think that if you've got the cash, this would be pretty cool... I'm expecting Ed Mack to post a picture of it once it arrives at his house.2 points

Keep an eye out kmart has been putting different items up everyday that are giving back almost the same amount of points redeemed. Some of its not great for resale but hey its free. So far I have gotten 3 surge protectors, 2 pairs of headphones, and 4 of the skylanders sets all earning more points back than what I paid with. I have been redeeming $1 less in points than the total on the order and the points back are showing up, if you redeem the whole amount in points then the points back goes to $0. So with a coupon I have been getting back more points than I am using.2 points

Yep, I was finally able to snag two. I have been monitoring that page and trying for over a week now, so it finally paid off. I actually placed two separate 1-click orders and was able to get them both. Surprisingly, did not get a warning for duplicate order on the 2nd and both show delivery date for Halloween.1 point

We beat Georgia last bowl game, doesn't mean I think NU would compete in the SEC. Bowl games are tough because you really don't know what team is going to show up. The last 2 bowl games that Alabama has played in that didn't mean much to them they have lost, also losing to Utah in the Sugar bowl a few years ago. The way Texas always recruited was to basically lock up their class by the end of their Junior Days and then grab a couple here and there. The problem with that strategy, even though you are getting elite talent, a lot of time you are getting kids that peak early while teams that recruit later may get that kid that is hot at the end of his senior year and still developing. Neither is wrong, but they missed out on a lot of kids that blew up because they were already full.1 point

I do not need to gloat. The fraudulent buyers can take care the uninformed sellers without any help from me.1 point

Well I just completed my eight sets so I'm very happy now what to do with them and when to do it that's the big question will this get flooded in another week and so I should sell now or should I hold them for Christmas or for the long term not sure what I'm thinking at the moment1 point

Two thumbs Up!...again. nice work ufema....as always. still love the minifig back to front builds! Who's going to create the custom UFEMA Cinema modular where the lego build movies are shown? I'm thinking that ufema needs his own thread/section where you can click on a set from a list and watch the build.1 point

Sorry my bad to go off topic. Even if GE is the most hoarded set, am I the only one to think the number of new AFOL that just got interested in modulars sets from buying parisan restaurants and the newer sets will offset the amount of extra hoarding?1 point

Inside information for Dutch investors: Intertoys will have a 15% discount on the entire Lego collection next weekend or one weekend later. Hope their inventory Town Hall will last till that moment. It is the same issue with the SSD in September: Discounted for 320 euro in September, quickly sold out and then a few days later also the 15% discount.. man, what would I love to have SSD's for 272 euro back then :-)1 point

I figured it might be a typo because if it did officially retire, I'm sure this thread would explode!1 point

Guys try to keep this thread on topic. I come here for GE updates; college funds, alternate listing sites and stocks are for another thread.1 point

Anything where I get stuck needing to place a ton of 1x1 tiles next to one another. The effort in trying to get them all align correctly is maddening. :frantics:1 point

That thing is kinda cool, just not $600 cool. If the story behind it is legit, it's nice to see the game company on board with that auction. A charity that provides Lego to kids in the hospital, where have I seen that before?1 point

I picked up a lot of these at $20 earlier this year, so far, in order of popularity... Wii Xbox 360 PS3 Wii U I recommend the 3DS Version bc you get Lava Barf Eruptor (exclusive to this version) & Rattle Shake (hard-to-find in a single pack) & Free Ranger (common), as opposed to Blast Zone, Ninja Stealth Elf & Wash Buckler in the other 4 versions.1 point

I have a few, and I still like it. The key to me is that they are releasing another similar house in the same line. If Friends sticks around for a bit longer, which it seems to be, then it should appreciate nicely. I think 150% by next Christmas might be stretching it though. Gonna take a while to clear these out.1 point
-
Yes, it's actually advertised in-store at 50,000 back in points when you purchase a Skylander's Swap Force Starter Pack. I plan to pick up some more tomorrow when I pick-up mine. I'm curious if I'll actually get Wii U versions. You may have to ask for a price match in-store, or you can just offset the additional cost with coupons and the $5 bonus points you'll get back anyway.1 point
-
Thats stupid. Looks like I can get two for $96, sell them and make back 60$ of that or so, plus 100$ in points. So I will end up spending 40$ for 100$ worth of stuff. Not too shabby.1 point
-
I've got 2 orders of 2 ready for store pickup and will earn $100 in points for each order. Will do this again tomorrow and use the $400 in points on some Lego.1 point

That seems to be a very accurate statement. Unless some small toyshop is clearing out and they would happen to be situated in an area where resellers don't go... which is also close to nil since WE ARE EVERYWHERE! Edit: Yeey. Brick Advisor! I feel so special now.1 point

Lol I don't feel bad. Everyone could have gone in at 10am to get them and the other 2 try locations still have tons. I don't feel bad because so many here on this site are able to ****** up 4-8 copies of haunted houses etc when they pop up for retail on amazon and Walmart etc and I haven't even been able to get 1. I don't sit at a computer all day so I'm not able to get those deals fast enough when someone posts it. But I can be the first person in line outside of a store at 10am Just left the last tru!! Bought 5 cases of fire stations and a case of pizza and 5 red series 1 mixels!! Rings up discontinued but it was still for sale1 point

Better believe it. 28 unnumbered bags with bags inside of those bags...still I would not trade the experience for anything. IF you build it(and I recommend you do) separate all the pieces by color as well as flat vs regular pieces. Also build both towers simultaneously. It will help out as well as looks pretty cool as you slowely complete the project. Also do this when you are done (add a bat signal as well!)1 point

Overrated!!?? Was the immediate and massive bump in price when it moved to Sold Out not an indicator that people will pay handsomely for it? Compare the HH with, say, the FB in terms of recent sales after moving to sold out and I think there is a big difference...1 point
