For all of the companies I've worked for, generally it was ok to buy product and do with it as you wish as long as you were not on the clock and you did not use your employee discount. I don't know if that's Lego's policy. So all they would have available to themselves over us is stock status. I guess they might need a forum thread, "what I heard from myself today."5 points

Called Lego again because I wanted to return my exo suits :-P.. I also asked them again about the HH that I have on backorder. The friendly lady at the phone said there was a small batch coming in where also all the Lego employees themselves were excited about, because there was a frenzy going on under the staff itself to obtain also a HH. So.. first divide the shipment under the staff. is there anything left? OK than we are going to fulfill some backorders LOL.3 points

Having LEGO declare a set "retired" is just a confirmation of what a sharp and savvy investor investor already knows. If people are waiting for a set to be officially marked as such, they are already too late and will never make any money investing in LEGO sets.2 points

Keep FB but buy more TH. With 90 day free returns that would be the best strategy right now IMO. I was a doubter 3 weeks ago but after TLG tipped its hand then it is time to go all in. I am in this game to make money, not to be right.2 points

When you have dozens of similar boxes of fun piling up - it isn't so much fun.2 points

I do have to say that if this bad boy is truly gone this year and gets the "official" mark from Lego, then me picking up 14 in one fell swoop at the very end may go down in my very own history books as an amazing opportunity. When SSD was going and I was able to snag 4 from amazon at the last minute of random inventory I thought that was great. I am now at 24 of these, I figured I was done and wrote it off, thank you Brickpicker!2 points

If you read enough of the posts these last few weeks - everything is retiring.2 points

Mixels are a horrible investment. Everyone should stop buying them. That way I can come and buy them all up.2 points

Dunno but the EEE will not retire before 2050 considering all these dedicated containers.2 points

I've actually pulled all mine from Amazon and didnt re-list at EBay. I sold 6 in five days but I am not selling anymore for at least a couple years. I have built one and that changed my thinking on its potential for $700-$1000. Money now is great but lots more in a few years is worth a hold now.1 point

Both stores in my area got some in today. They won't put them out on the shelf, they get you one from the back if you ask about it. (Same process with the Tumbler, it seems). One of the stores had a shipment in two weeks ago, as well. That's all since the very first batch, whenever that was. I don't know any quantities. That seems to be top secret info.1 point

Yes the legs are attached too. It doesn't look like anything can be taken of a light-up minifigure.1 point

Do you guys think Series 3 and beyond will sell as high as Series 1 has/is? I figure the first series or two of anything get the high sales for those who were late to the game.1 point

Tell him if he got an $1100 offer he should take it and run because he won't get anywhere close to that from an informed buyer.1 point

For an intelligent analysis of 10228 read here: http://blog.brickpicker.com/evaluation-corner/lego-10228-haunted-house-investment-potential-that-is-scary/ FWIW HH is already outperforming GG handily in the early stages. I bought my MISB GG for $300 shipped on ebay 18 months after its offcial retirement.1 point

Yes, without hesitation! Especially Yellows as those tend to sell for the most. Black/gray tend to be the most common but still worth grabbing1 point

I don't plan to hold mine long term, but come Christmas season, little Johnny needs his Mixels fix.1 point

My last 2 TRU Bat Signals for $20 each. Now Trekgate can sell his at $221 point

That is why you have frayed capes. You can't remove the head. You can however change the batteries. I have done this several times with no problem.1 point

You were joking right? As long as you've been on the forum, a little reading or research will do you some good.1 point

200% agree with that. I forbid you to resell your FBs now ! (unless you just want your money back, of course) That's not a year since it's retired !!1 point

Not to get off topic but let's not put Lone Ranger and LOTR in the same category. One was a single failed movie which is already forgotten and the other a beloved franchise that will stand the test of time. I'd put LOTR more in the category of Indiana Jones and those are doing ok, though it depends on the set... it will be the same for LOTR.1 point

Yea, I hit one order, then went fro another and it dropped me to 6 available. I took forever too, as I wasn't logged in etc, wrong CC. I figured no way. Then CC flagged as fraud, jumped through those hoops and still snagged the second order. BP's must have been looking at flowers at that particular moment.1 point

Yes, no more discussion please. I'm traveling this week, otherwise this discussion would have been ended a long time ago.1 point

So, there are resellers among lego employees, hmmm ? You can't trust anyone these days. What a shame ! (100th page of the HH thread: I was there )1 point

In a certain way, it would be like comparing an Emporium with a Grocery. So I wouldn't exclude this possibility, even if it's slight. But a museum, a tool store or a school would be a better bet. (come on lego, where is the sex shop ? I have a serie 12 - piggy guy to put in front of it)1 point

The limit on likes... Any reason why that limit still exists? Maybe I'm too willing to give up likes, but I find it easier to like something than give an empty response. I thought lines were linked to points at one time, but since we don't use points anymore...1 point

I think the topic you are looking for the is the Number of Sealed Bags in each Lego set. It has a lot of sets in the main list, so hopefully your set is there so you can confirm the contents.1 point

The 2 of 2 set doesn't interest me at all, so I don't have anything planned for November other than using up all of the points I've accumulated in October. Today is day 23/31 of my daily exclusive purchase experiment. The points and free elf workshops have been accumulating quite well so far.1 point

Without a Town Hall to uphold the law and keep Lego towns protected, I fear anarchy, pandemonium, and martial law may run rampant. Also, wolves. Without a city council to address the problem of wolves, there will be no organized defense against them.1 point

Lego announced the 2015 tour dates & locations today. They keep having a city close by to me so that is good. Its a fun day for kids & the family. I could not find a prior Kidsfest thread so I started this one, if there is one and it should be merged please do so. http://www.legokidsfest.com/?utm_source=2015+tour+announcement+10%2F23%2F14&utm_campaign=LKF+2014+Announcement+email&utm_medium=email Upcoming 2015 Tour Stops:1 point

I sell a lot of box damage and it goes for roughly the same. Nothing to worry about especially with 20% off. I would take box damage AA at 130 any time.1 point

Less hoarded. Once in a generation set. No future remakes likely. It can be used as a wonderful display piece every Halloween, which is the new cool holiday. Just a wonderfully creative and finished set.1 point
