The proof is right here.... I am a woman and a scientist... Master's degree in medical biology to be exact.6 points

Your above description kind of makes you sound like a male prostitute.6 points

Do you work with women? Until this set was made I was unaware they could be scientists, I would like some real world proof.4 points

The funny thing is that a lot of people on this site didn't like the set when it was first announced. I heard lots of people saying this and that about the set and not positive things, now people are over the moon about it. Lol Hilarious. And female minifigures or males, this whole lego is sexist and doesn't produce enough female minifigs is just so dumb. Who cares if lego were to never produce a single female minifigure, the few people that have nothing better to do than complain about things that no one cares about, that's who. Just like the Jabbas palace fiasco...oh it looks like a mosque and the figs represent terrorist. Oh please, that's the last thing I think of when I look at jabbas palace. Lego doesn't produce enough female minifigs? Fine then, where are all the black minifigs and Asian minifigs, oh wait there were plenty Asian minifigs back in the day....they were all yellow! I don't hear people complaining about that. I want an ideas set, limited release, black and Asian minifigure set. God people are ridiculous now days! Rant over.4 points

Maybe that's the answer to the other topic about being banned from lego shop@home. Our wifes are calling lego and saying: "I am not sure, but I think my husband might be a reseller".3 points

So far, no one reported at BP about being banned from non-US lego shop. So, you can do 100 orders of 5. Though, of course, there is always first time. And your wife could ban you.2 points

As a giganic Batman fan, it was quite disheartening to know that I would not be one of the lucky few (or scalpers) to purchase this set. However upon learning about bricklinking recently, I realized I could just wait until someone skillful enough to put it all together would be able to help everyone out. Thusly, TOK you are the MAN! I decided to save all the instructions and put them together in a pdf form incase anyone wanted to have them easily accesible without jumping back and forth btwn images (or LDD). http://www.filedropper.com/sdccbatmobile Also, I managed to piece this together for the low low price of $17.26~! across 5 orders (without s&****) as I also already had the two mini-figs (even if they aren't show accurate ) I signed up simply to reply and give thanks to TOK for doing this and making this Batman fan supremely happy~!!! THANK YOU!!!!!2 points

All right, boys and girls... Mods, feel free to move it to "what I heard from lego employee today", but here it is - the answer from Lego CS to my "where the F is the listing for 10221" question. Of course I am going to ask them how come it is still available in Europe with limit 5 Of course I am going to ask them why other retired sets still retain the product page. And yes, it is indeed funny how they don't mention ebay Ta-daaa "Dear XXXXXXX, Thanks for getting in touch with us. I2 points

Just like any other lot, start with the mini figures. Then bash your head repeatedly against a wall. The problem isn't the size of the lot, it's that there is no profit left in it.2 points

Ha! Sorry dude I'm not emazers, I don't post info for everyone to see. It's all good if you don't believe me, I kinda wish I didn't order so many as I had to hear the wife complain about it all day long and she isn't done yet. She is just practicing for the Tumbler fiasco that will surely ensue in 3 or so weeks.2 points

You will have to manually update your Wanted List. I would make a note in the Remarks field on your Wanted List as to the store that you ordered it from, but refrain from deleting the item from your Wanted List until you've received it. You just never know when you've messed up your order, or the person packing it forgets to include something. You want to make sure you know how many you still need, if you don't get the right amount in your order.1 point

I think there has to be like 10 other threads about this. I will probably be closing this one. Sorry. I am sure you will find plenty of answers and comparisons to what people thought in those. Once I find them, I will post the links.1 point

Some people view LEGO sets as a commodity. Some view them as a fantastic toy. Some view them as both. Some people are idiots and will light themselves on fire to put on YouTube...See my point...LOL1 point

The amount of greed and ugliness that has been coming out of people over lego sets lately is very disturbing. I seriously am waiting for the day when I read in the paper or on the news that person x killed person y over a lego set. Because the way people are acting lately its only a matter of time.1 point

I imagine we'll hear, "See, see, we told you a female set would be popular...rabble, rabble, rabble." I am imagining all Brickpickers doing their best Mr. Burns right now, "Excellent."1 point

I don't get it. You have to order for X amount to get free shipping. But they will send you a polybag for free. Where is the logic?1 point

i know. but it's not that simple anymore identity theft is the bigger prob. the recent data breaches (including target and experion) have hackers (and the buyers of the data) opening MC and VISA credit cards using the stolen information. it was just a matter of time the stolen encrypted data was decrypted. sure, we won't be liable for the purchases but the more serious issue at hand is once "secured" personal data is now available for those who can buy it. fixing matters like that is a mess using the 3 credit bureaus. some folks (regardless if the % is low) will ultimately need to change their SS# which is a MAJOR headache. personally, i think many companies have greatly misused our SS#s. seriously, do companies like AT&T and Comcast really need our SS# to offer us their services / products? we are prob getting to the point that people will need another unique identifier to replace SS#s.1 point
-
As long as you use a major credit card and pay attention to the charges on your bill, you don't have anything to worry about. The legal protections for credit cards are so strong that any unauthorized charges get wiped out almost automatically.1 point

if you are sure it is complete and in good condition with little checking to do and instructions in good quality, possibly. Profit potentials isn't that high - depends where and when you will sell. I would decline.1 point

For investing or your personal collection, this may be your last chance to grab this set for MSRP. These have disappeared from a lot of retail stores and only a handful of online retailers have them left. It's probably not worth trying to save a few bucks if you really want it, but it depends a lot on your investment strategy and how long you can afford to hold them if you want to make the best return. This set has been out 2 1/2 years now and plenty of people have stockpiled it.1 point

I literally could have written this exact post, minus the "Let It Go" anecdote, and changing the kids' ages to 5 and 3. They are completely obsessed with both movies. I've only watched each movie maybe twice straight through, but I've seen enough ~20 minute chunks such that I can safely say I've seen every minute of both a solid 20-30 times. If not more. I can pretty much quote the Lego Movie from beginning to end. I can't honestly say this is something I'm proud of. My kids bust out the quotes all the time too. The other day my 3yr old woke me up with: "he is coming. cover your butt." It was pretty comical. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker1 point

I'm in the 20+ catagory for the LEGO movie with a 6 and an 8 year old. I've got to be in the 75-100 range with Frozen and probably 500+ with "Let It Go" song alone. I knew it was bad when I plugged my phone into the car stereo on my way to work and didn't change the song until "Let It Go" finished playing. My daughter has me trained well.1 point

Size matters...I like the boxes big, but as I run out of storage space, smaller boxes would be appreciated. Really, many boxes can be cut in half. I would like to see improved box quality as well to match Architecture box makeup and thickness. Sent from my iPad using Brickpicker1 point
