  1. Good afternoon brick picker community. I've been a member for just over a year now and I visit this site several times a day. Since then I've successfully started an ebay store as a part time job. Thanks to my wifes support I've decided to take my video business and produce some lego builds. I just posted my fifth one today. I'm looking for any feedback as we approach the arrival of the legendary Sandcrawler build.

  2. Just sold my last sealed 7888 Batman 1 Joker's Tumbler Ice Cream Surprise. $570 with free ship. buyer paid PayPal fees though. No bricklink fee. Another example of a smaller $ set that outperformed most $100+ sets.

  5. Doesn't ebay usually offer some additional ebay bucks or something once a week? Would a better deal be possible on these by waiting for that?

  8. So considering JJ made the Enterprise about 2.5 times longer than the original (which means a significantly larger volume), I wonder how big all the new SW vehicles will be...

  11. All of these CMF sealed cases are excellent long term holds, especially the ones with a few hot minifigures. That being said, you never know what your access to these CMFs will be. Some people can locate them easily, some will never see one in the store. At least you know you will be able to obtain 2-3 complete sets with a sealed box. The LEGO Movie CMFs disappeared quickly. I can see these disappearing quickly as well. I think these Simpson's CMFs can be miniature Gold Mines if LEGO under-produces these sets and discontinues the theme. Paying cost for these minifigures, with free shipping and no tax for most is a very solid investment IMO.

  14. I didn't pick Grand Emporium, since it's out of stock and I didn't want him paying the premium FBA price.

  15. Over the last 4 days, I built the 10182 from my CL find from last weekend. It is only missing the three minifigures and one cherry and this will cost an additional $15-17 (however, I will have a nice profit after selling all of the other sets). This is just an ok build and the lack of details on the inside was disappointing.

  20. 30300 Batman Tumbler polybag; a fun quick build which looks pretty good for the size although when comparing to the source, the front 'windows' seem up a little too high. Actually the whole front and cab area looks raised higher than it should be. Anyway, I came across a >custom mini Tumbler on the net that I think would make great inspiration in helping to modify the polybag build.

  25. 5 years after now on is quite risky (not like 2-3 isnt but less) I stopped all investment purchases for now and am only selling now (except for what I buy for my own collection) I predict LEGO investing will be ''too popular'' in 2018(maybe 2020) to make decent enough cash (for my liking that is) Yeah it will perform well... I wonder how much it can appreciate....

  26. I didn't have any of these and decided to get some since it just retired. Noticed it had alot more minifigures then I thought it did. I thought it had 4 but it actually has 6! My feeling is that most of these get parted out for people building armies which could lead to a mint box increasing in value down the line. I also feel this sets value will depend on how much people want Helm's Deep and if a Minas Tirith comes out (and how many Uruk Hai are in Minas). Overall, I feel that people will want to make armies of the Orcs and Uruk. With Helm's Deep being already expensive at MSRP and the Orc Forge already past it's MSRP value, this will be the next set to go to for that end and likely the main set. So of course it shouldn't pass up Helm's Deep or the Forge. But when someone browses old sets to fulfill that army making, they might think those 2 sets are too expensive and thus buy this set possibly raising it values slowly.
