  1. My 09 Ducati 696 and me riding with my Minifig helmet. Oh and I have Fit as well.
  2. 2012 Blue Roadster with a nice 2x6 engine block and dual racing exhaust. I can get about 20-25 miles per ounce of imagination. I was thinking of trading up to a modified Sunset Speeder later in the year but haven't completely decided on that.

    I drive people crazy.
  4. The family truckster.
  5. Timely thread lol. Just yesterday got a 2012 Mustang, paid in cash with my LEGO flipping money. (For you people that only sell big sets, small sets and minifigures contributed A LOT)
  6. I just submitted my my Doctor WHO Cuusoo project! Hope everyone likes it! http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/59463
  7. in the dispute, upload a screen shot of the USPS.com (or paypal.com) shipping cost estimate showing weight, box dimensions, options, etc...
  8. NEG: Promised to deliver in clown suit and didn't. My kid so disappointed.
  9. Just had that happen, has a set some.guy messaged me a asked if the shipping was free to Israel. Good try bud.
  10. I built Jabba's Palace today too! Very fun! I loved the mini-figs. I have Rancor Pit queued up. It was a nice, fun, relaxing build after finishing UCS Batmobile. Sent from my iPad using Brickpicker
  11. 2000 XJ with a few mods. Obligatory poser shot. Gotta be able to drive over the Hondas to get to the deals.

I offer free shipping on everything and have had people e-mail me and ask me to combine shipping and give them a discount. Uh its free ya zombie.
  13. Finished building the Ewok Village (over 8 days). Next week is the Black Pearl that I picked up this week at a true cost of $90*. *I bought a used set at $90, built it, sold it for $166 after fees, bought a used Black Pearl and finally kept the difference.

I bought my '06 4Runner new. It has 103k miles on it and still runs very well. It gets @22 mpg on my Lego hunts. I miss sub $2 gas.

Com'on the buyer is Canadian...we're trustworthy, what can go wrong, no insurance or tracking needed ;-) jk. good luck.
  17. IMO I wouldn't do international and no tracking even if they had 200 feedback.
  18. give them the choice, pay with tracking or once you ship it and have a receipt to show it's out of your hands it's "out of your hands" their choice for tracking or savings everyone has to start at 0 sometime so I don't usually mind 0 bidders
  19. I would like to see a San Francisco street car, with power of course.
  20. Still to young to drive. Need to wait at least two more years before I can start. I missed out on a lot of great clearance deals because of this.
  21. If you need a Rancor pit for yourself and aren't fussy about the box condition, the target in Ajax still has two on the shelf for 50% off ~$38. I got one for the kids to build when they're a little older. Sent from my iPad using Brickpicker
  22.     I explicitly block Italy from all of my listings. They have a weird ban on all toys not made out of wood. I know it is 50/50 chance the customs will catch this and delay shipping, but why take the chance? Did you have that shipping quote in eBay invoice you sent him ? It is most likely best just to have him request cancelation for the whole transaction.
  23.     All good information. I bought it since it seemed to disappear from retail stores around me just like that and I thought 30% off was a decent price. However, this morning I felt this set might go down in price some more
  24. Be careful as people might request that now. Ex astris, scientia.

If you order a small set from TRU you are almost guaranteed to break that record!
  26. Should have said - "Oh yea - and I'll personally deliver it in a clown suit!"
  27. If we are taking investment advise from JC I am going to quickly and calmly find an exit.
  28. Here are my two - 2013 Audi S5 and my 2009 Lotus Elise
  29. Okay America... Where's all your muscle cars??? Oh wait... I think we imported them all!!! My Saturday drive... My Sunday drive... My Daily drive... And the car I drive when I'm not driving any other cars... Oh... And the wife's car... We just sold her Peugeot because it just wouldn't play nice with the others. Better sell some Lego now to pay for fuel.
  30. Not growing u in that time, I'll probably come at this a little differently from you old geezers. Why the prequels the biggest letdown in film history: 1. The acting in these movies was atrocious! Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, and Samuel L Jackson were the only decent actors in the series, and they were all very disappointing. And of course the movies are close to unwatchable due to the performances by ol' Hayden and Natalie. 2. The dialogue in these "films" is the worst in any movie I've ever seen. 3. CGI was heavily overused in these movies. Just because this technology was starting to look good doesn't mean you have to use it in the entire movie! 4. As DNIIM said, the lightsaber battles were way overdone. The original's battles were too boring, but the producers REALLY overcompensated. What made the originals great was that they were the opposite of the prequels. On to what will make or break these new movies. If these films break with cannon SW law (as laid down by the novels) there will be thousands of furious fans. Also, people would rather have a great story with good character development and acting than another movie relying on special effects. Massive CGI battles are in every movie, and the film can't use this as a lifeline.
  31. The new Star Trek needed less character development because the characters already were well defined from 40 years of Trekking. Sorry big time Trekkie here so had to defend my interests first . The original trilogy captivated a generation because it was new. Most sci-fi had been poorly done B movies with boring fake ships and poor effects. Then Lucas came along with a new hope. It had brilliant effects and amazing ships. In a word it did what all good movies do. Transported us to a new world, completely and totally. But at the same time featured great characters and a moving storyline. And like most sequals. The new star wars movies just can not live up to the originals. They aren't bad, they just can't compete. Not with the impossible expectations they have to live up too. Another thing is movies today just seem to focus so much on wow'ing us with effects and epic sprawling scenes that the story and characters just get lost. Watch an old movie called fail-safe or even Rear window. Whole movie takes place in a single room with very few main characters. Both still manage to be the most haunting, edge of my seat suspenseful films I have ever seen. And this seems to be something hollywood has forgotten. They just push effects at the expense of the characters and storyline. A great film needs all three balanced and working in tandem to be great.
  32. Nope. People try to return stuff that was given as a birthday present and was purchased at another store. Somehow they fail to see the sticker from the other store on the box... I once accepted a returned Lego that was bought in Denmark...
  33. No argument from me.
  34. 1 point
He's the one they call Dr. Feelgood.
  35. Congrats Noddlenut and MartinP. I enjoyed reading the content you produced, great stuff, keep it up.
  36. Oh, I know you knew I knew you known that I known you knew I knew you known. ....Did you know that?
  37. I have already started to work on this.
  38. If you click on the blog page and then hover over your user name it will give you your Brickpoints total. I asked the same question a few pages back.
  39. God only knows what the value of this thread is. I appreciate the offer to help with something, but you just need to wait. I am quite tired of listening to everyone that knows so much about whether the price guide is good or bad. It is just a guide, we have said that more than enough. Just like any car guide out there, it is just a guide. If you go to a dealer ship, good luck saying "Hey Kelly Blue Book says my Pinto is worth this". Please, feel free to create your own price guide. I know you have beat it up too many times to count. Please share your guide with the rest of us. I personally would like to see it. I just took a look, I am able to grab the data up to 2/26. So in a few more days I should have all of Jan/Feb and will get everything caught up.
  40. Congrats guys! I enjoy reading your blogs!
  41. WOW!! Thanks Ed and Jeff for running this contest! (And the whole site, for that matter.) Also, congratulations to MartinP and everyone else who entered the contest. I am looking forward to competing next month!
  42. Awesome! Thanks again for all you do.

  44. Good job guys. Hopefully I will have some time to participate in March.
