I'll politely disagree here on the "always online" thing not being a big deal. Just ask any soldier deployed overseas if they would be ok with that...if they are in the Middle East or the Horn of Africa the answer will probably be no. If my 360 had to be online every 24 hours where I was in Iraq, I would have been royally screwed. Add to that people who live in rural areas or undeveloped countries, and you are effectively shrinking your demographic. If MS doesn't do something about this, the PS4 will win the fight in all of these regions, hands down. Granted, MS may not care because its a smaller user base, but its still never a good idea to limit your audience. I know they want to combat piracy and keep systems updated or whatever, but this is not a good trade-off.

Jeff and I go all the way back in the gaming world. 35 years almost. Back to the Atari 2600 and 400/800 computers(Star Raiders, Caverns of Mars). Magnavox Odyssey(Star League Baseball), Apple II(Castle Wolfenstein). We were Battlefield fanatics. I look forward to playing Battlefied 4 on the XBOX One. I remember the original 360. I bought Jeff's extra one for like $500 and we bought the original PS3 for $700+. If there is a shortage, it could be a huge market, but I'm wondering if pre-ordering was the in thing 8 or 9 years ago? In other words, I don't know if there was such a push or even the possibility to preorder on a mass scale for the last major console releases.
  4. Don't worry, you can hide in Olivia's House :)
  5. Here is More Info On The New Big Ewok Village Thats Coming!!!!!!!!!! Now before I joined this site, I was over on Toysnbricks and I started a Post saying a New Big X-wing and Ewok Village was coming, and caught some slack on where I got the Info, Well the X-wing came out today, and the News on the Big Ewok Village is its coming in the late summer or Fall, and the Price is $249.00 so it should be in a box the size of the Tower Bridge and Imperial Shuttle. I have seen a picture of it, but I don't have a copy of it, I was lucky enough just to see a picture, It looks great. Now Everything I have told you's on this site has come true. So not to get anybody in trouble this is all I am saying. If I said to much and if this post should be deleted well delete it. Ed

Hello everyone! I am new to Brickpicker and I would just like to introduce myself! I am somewhat of a professional Lego builder and my favorite two themes are hobbit and lord of the rings. I am just starting to get into investing. a lot of my friends also like lego and they invest so I figured that I would try it! I hope I will do well! Thank you for taking your time to read this! reply if you want!
  9. Just call it the new bragging rights for TheOrcKing and be done with it. He is top 3 in almost all categories. Btw, Top Answer does not work for me. When selected, it does not change the list from the current selection.
  10. I noticed this as well. There's still the completed listings checkbox on the left though.

I know right????? Can't we just talk about the gaming aspects of them?
  12. But if I'm able to get extras, I'll be sure to help you out if you're interested, Cambridge02138, since you were kind enough to help me with Yoda.

All of my extra money goes toward Lego :)

Easy investment winner, just like Dolphin Cruiser. These are the two Friends sets to get for investment after Olivia's House and Summer Riding Camp.
  15. I blew my load on the cheap Imperial Shuttles this morning. I still have plenty enough for an SSD, but feel like I might be better off holding. I'll make a decision by tomorrow if they are still in stock. If not, no big loss.
  16. No. What I'm telling you is that no one man should own that many Sebulbas.
  17. Come on people, just because someone gets cheap LEGO's doesn't mean they are stealing them. He could have won them in a poker game, they could have been gifts and he doesn't have a receipt to return them, he could be a Pimp and his Ho's pay him in LEGO, he could be a drug dealer and he trades his smack for Bricks, or he could have a great inside deal with someone. I get great deals all the time from retail stores. I am just patient and wait for deals. I'm also a Pimp.
  18. Here is my strategy: You give me money, I give you LEGO's.
  19. So you're trying to tell me that my entire savings account purchase of 50 Anakins podracers wasn't a good idea? Blasphemy! ?
  20. I think ethics debates are interesting.........plus its hilarious to see everyone get butthurt when you bring up the subject.
  21. Still two available at $289. Maybe I should grab a second...or maybe I should stay married.
  22. Here's my two cents. If you're going to make the argument that the deal is always out there, I'm going to flat out tell you that you are wrong. Some of the members live in very affluent, upscale towns and cities. Places LEGO either sells strong or sells out. To say you just have to drive around harder is ignorance. I have gotten some insane deals, and I mean insane. 60 percent or more off is an easy thing to hit here come clearance time. I work hard at it, yes. I hit every Walmart, Target and Kmart within 45 minutes of me roughly every week or two. I like the thrill of finding an epic haul. Sometimes I'm at my 24hr Walmarts at 1 or 2 in the morning. But don't confuse things. My hard work only pays off because I live in a poor area of the U.S., one of THE poorest actually, and most people down here who are struggling to make gas, food, or rent money can't afford the high MSRPs of LEGO. So, they sit on the shelf until they have to move in the next line, and in comes the clearance deals. If I tried to replicate this back home in Atlanta, I can assure you my success wouldn't be anywhere near what I'm used to, even with more effort put in on my part. The fact is, some people will get lucky, some will get more out if they put more work in, but the true deciding factor determining your LEGO profitability aside from working captial is going to be the place, and thus the market, you live in.
