Check your Targets. Each of mine restocked exactly 3 just yesterday. Weird to say the least.

8 out of the 9 walmarts I've been to in the last 2 weeks have all restocked 3 as well.

I was at my local Walmart this morning, and they had a couple of Batcaves as well.

Batcaves, X-Wings, and Superman with Lex... I think all 3 are apparently going to be around at least 6 more months.

Oh well - more time to pick them up.

They are everywhere.. WM, Target, TRU and Lego store

Maybe I can snag one on sale instead of MSRP.

Randomly exactly one of my Walmarts clearanced them for $55 after they got them back in stock.

I have decided to return  6 I bought last year thinking it was going away.  Gotta love the return policies.  I noticed quite a few walmarts have them in stock,

I saw them again at TRU, but they sold out quickly.  I saw 6 more at a local Wal-Mart last night.

My guess is that this is one last push of product for the US. Most, if not all, overseas countries show this set as retired.

I think Mos is probably (once again) right on this one. All year is seeming more realistic, until we see another Superhero set announced at that price point or higher. I don't think they are going to have a mix where $49.99 is the most expensive set. 

 

Superman/Lex is not a surprise since Wonder Woman is in the Lego Movie. 

What's the big deal ? This has been available at LEGO Shop at Home since early January.  It was only Sold Out in December.

In the US, this was sold out a few times but NEVER retired.  I do not remember seeing the "Retring soon" tag on it either

The last post of the Daily Deals thread yesterday mentioned that this was in a retailer's catalog for the next year. 

How many many different LEGO Shop at Home stores is this retired at?

italian S&**** shows it as RETIRED

no mention of it in the catalogue

EU AMAZON have it available on third party stores only at very high prices

Mine had all of these as well as more daily bugles.

So frustrating. Two weeks ago I drove 30 miles to a distant Walmart during the Polar vortex to complete a pickup order for the only Batcave within 45 miles of my house. Don't ask why I didn't just wait a week for the weather to clear...I was hunting for clearance and guess what?...Nothing on clearance.

To make matters worse, I went the wrong direction on the turnpike on the way home which cost me more time, money, and gas.

Epic fail of a haul.

Has anyone been able to pick up this set at any significant discount (25% or more) in the last 6 months?

Anyone remember how long the 2006 Batcave was available (I know what brick set says)? I remember seeing them at TRUs back in late 2008 and early 2009 while doing baby shopping when my wife was pregnant with my son.

Just curious. I think that set was needed late in the theme's run so kids had a chance to buy the batcave to go along with the other sets.

Maybe this batcave will follow suit?
